Went at lunchtime and literally had nothing left except arepas with ground beef. The arepas we're good, but there was no ají nor suero costeño. Would have given 4 stars but the waiter was super rude, arrogant, and tried his best to make us go away. So we did, and went to another branch next to Éxito. Just as rude, but had more options for arepas, except had no juice or tea just water.

My mom and I ate here during a trip to Cartagena last week. There are apparently two ways of making arepas, which I wasn't aware of until I ate here. One is to fill it, in this case with cheese in one arepa and egg in the other, and deep fry it. The other is to cook it on a hot skillet. This is the first time I tried the deep fried version and it was so bad I had to throw it away. My mom did not enjoy hers either.

The arepas with eggs were excellent , but they were too slow in preparing the food. We went there at 9:00AM last Saturday four of us, after we ordered 4 arepas and ate them, they didn’t have coffee ready, no juice ready, it seems that they prepare a little at time, we waited for 30 minutes, and we were thirsty , after waiting so long, we left to find a place for coffee or juice. If they want to stay in business they need to change their customer service. I was disappointed 😣

worst customer service experience, very rude "man in glasses", a jerk, yells and intimidates people who do not decide quickly, we try to support the local restaurant, but these people do not help, and the food nothing of the another world and they don't have cold drinks

In this place you can enjoy some of the best Arepa de huevo in the center, and also the rest of the fried food that is typical from this region of Colombia: Carimañola, Papa rellena, with very good dressings.

Traditional cartagena's fritos. Proud of north coast gastronomy. Just eat and get fat like me, Will ya?

Spectacular! This "hole in the wall" was recommended by locals for the best and famous arepa de huevo. And indeed it was! They have so many options and occasionally serve breakfast, you just have to ask bc they're usually just fritos. Extremely affordable, delicious and fresh! Even their natural juices are delightful. Only speak spanish but you can point as the menu is on a big screen. There is no A/C or wifi. Although you won't be hassled by the street vendors, their will be times were the needy will be by the entrance trying to get your attention and it wouldn't be Cartagena without insisting so do not pay any mind and keep enjoying these delicacies!

As someone who wanted to avoid the western food which floods centro in catering to their western audience, this place was a good spot for local Cartagena cuisine. Their specialty- Arepa con Huevo & Amenda con Huevo were delicious. They are made hot from the kitchen. Small & quaint place, ideal to try what the locals enjoy.

Tried my first Aprepas here. They didn't have egg Aprepas when I got there. Nothing too fancy, but the food was good.

They made the arepa fresh as they were all out when I arrived, only had to wait a couple minutes. Great snack.

They are currently (Dec. 5, 2022) closed for construction. It’s too bad - b/c someone I trust highly recommended this place for Arepa.
