Food was so so good- we had the Greek toast and the sweet French toast, unreal!! It was quiet which was a shame, I think not enough ppl know about it and it's not right in the centre- you have to know where it is- go! You won't be disappointed. Nice terrace too

We didn't have reservations for this restaurant, just walked in and couldn't believe that it was basically empty. I started to have a little bit of dope but wow were they blown away. This is definitely a one-star Michelin restaurant. I think they have some kind of test kitchen or classes built into the building. And you can see the inventiveness come through in the cocktails and food. The vegan ceviche is a good example, made with mango but still packing the same fresh flavor you would find in a typical ceviche. I got the feeling that the majority of offerings are based on Spanish tapas. The sample platter for 2 we got tasted incredibly authentic and reminded me of the best Spanish tapas

Would no recommend. The place is overpriced and does not meet expectations. You would think a cooking workshop is able to serve some proper food. But a Vegetarian main dish, is a spoon of almost raw risotto with 3 champions in it, It was even prepared with chicken boulion. The owner is more busy entertaining her friends and making sure they have their needs filled, then the rest of the guests. The people that serverd us were really nice, and tried there best. But alot was lost in translation. If you serve champagne but excatly it is apple juice with sparkles, I dont even know you may be alive tbh. The only thing this place has nice to offer is the view.

Lunático is an amazing place for delicious and reasonably priced food. Their menu offers some Colombian favorites with an elevated twist. Food: Must try the ceviches, brunch menu, and their Colombian artisanal beers. Service: Impeccable! Our severs Jorge and Sandra were so helpful and warm, a true representation of Costeño hospitality. Services/Tours: They offer an artisanal beer tasting which includes a ceviche. The experience was not only fun but informative! The owner offered the tasting himself and even shared a beer with us after. We ended the night with a salsa class with Kevin, a professional dancer from Cartagena (for an additional fee, but well worth it). The view of San Felipe is incredible and really adds to the experience. They even have live music for brunch! If you can, try the market tour and cooking class with the owner.

Tremendous enjoyment at the Rum & Chocolate event. Of course, with the tasting comes a lot of laughter and new friends. All about the various Columbian rums. Enjoy!

What a fantastic find! Beautiful view over the wall of the castle, water, and city. The food was phenomenal as well. Go for the Tuna Tartar! Best part was the service and hospitality. Jorge was attentive and provided great recommendation while still letting us relax and enjoy this amazing atmosphere.

Service from Jorge was great and the view over the Castillo is really cool. I thought the food wasn’t very good compared to other places we had been to in Cartagena. I also didn’t like the music - they were playing Rick Astley and other cheesy English language tracks.

The Chef/Owner Maria Delgado is extremely skilled and kind. She grew up in Cartagena and trained in Spain, where she worked for ten years in restaurants in the Basque region and Barcelona. Her Colombian/Spanish fusion cooking, using fresh local ingredients, is well balanced and delicious. Also highly recommend her daily cooking class at 10:30 am - an awesome experience where you get to eat what you create.

(Translated by Google) Super delicious food and fabulous cocktails. There is also a very good selection for vegetarians and even vegans. The service was also very nice, which is not a matter of course in Colombia. Since the café is on a side street, you can sit outside in peace and quiet. Tapas that are freshly prepared are also offered. What we also liked was that it didn't have plastic straws. The café generally pays attention to sustainability. Very good!!! Sehr gut!!!

We will definitely be recreating here in the states. Definitely would recommend for a fun activity with friends / family I’m Cartagena! Great views, food, and restaurant. Thanks again!!!

The food was good! We had the egg sandwich and the shrimp cheviche. Delicious flavours. The portion could have been a bit bigger for the price. Other than that everything was perfect! Great service as well!

Amazing place, best one in Cartagena! Very tasty, creative fusion kitchen - everything was outstanding, from the ceviche to the shrimp salad and the gnocchi. And: rooftop views over the skyscrapers of Cartagena! Great Music, not reaggeton like in other locations, more relaxing. The team of Lunatico is perfect - especially Jorge is a ray of sunshine. We loved our visit here and will come back for sure (tomorrow :) )!

Excellent view, very helpful staff, and a perfectly selected food menu. I've been eating in many places in Colombia (Bogota and Cartagena) and this is by far the BEST FOOD I've had. Everything perfectly cooked, perfectly balanced, and very complex flavor / texture mixing. Maybe a bit expensive for the area - but so worth it. (Avg 25-40 per portion) They also do cooking lessons (lunch/dinner style) at 10:30am for 250,000 for 3 people or less... if I was with someone on this trip I would TOTALLY take advantage of it.

Tried a range of dishes and found most were bland and had something missing - flavour. I think the price is also a bit much. There are some fantastic restaurants in Cartagena but this one didn’t stack up for me. Shame.

My girlfriend and I attended the 10:30 am cooking class with Chef/owner Maria Delgado. She grew up in Cartagena and attended cooking school and then worked in Spain (Basque country and Barcelona) for ten years before returning to Colombia to open this business. It was a FANTASTIC experience worth every peso. She is very generous with her knowledge and experience, very kind, and a real pleasure to be around. Highly recommended for a genuine Colombian experience.

This was the best meal we had in Cartagena! Everything was fantastic, the food was fast, and the view is lovely. Can’t recommend enough. The best tapa was the gnocchi. There were also lots of good vegetarian options and a few vegan as well. The wait staff was very friendly.

  • 5/5 Kristyna B. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful service and delicious food! The yucca gnocchi was amazing, and I appreciated that they could substitute the mozzarella for avocado to keep it dairy free. My husband loved his chicken sandwich, and the sauce that came with the potatoes was so yummy! We loved the little bit of spice in it! Overall, great menu with vegan and vegetarian options. We’re hoping to come back one more time before we leave Cartagena!

Wow, what a great experience. Wife and I took the Ceviche class with Maria and had the best time. The recipes she shares are easy to follow, the facility is immaculately clean, and the final results tasted amazing. Kudos to her and her assistant, who was integral in her successful teaching of the class. This is a must-do, when in Cartagena. The sit-down and socialize over a glass of your preferred beverage is a really nice touch. Buen Provecho!

Loved this spot! Had a delicious afternoon meal with beautiful views of the Cartagena. The staff here is very friendly and there’s plenty of seating both inside with A/C or outside in the shade with fans. Highly recommend the lentil burger, plátanos hash browns, and sea bass with yucca gnocchi (very flavorful sauce). I noticed this restaurant also does a cooking experience for big groups who maybe want to learn a thing or two of cooking authentic Colombian meals. Last thing, they had great tunes and Spanish/Cuban/salsa hits to really sell the atmosphere.

(Translated by Google) We had an incredible coastal cooking experience with María at Caffé Lunático, 1000% recommended. María is a tremendous chef, with a lot of dedication, patience and disposition, so that together we can cook the best dishes. He told us the history of each of them and some tips to be able to replicate them in our country. We cook fish ceviche together with banana sauce, cheese mote, Cartagena posta with temptation banana and sweet tree tomato. To top it off, we share the table with a good Chilean wine. We can't wait to cook these coastal delicacies again. Thank you very much María, all these experiences and stories, beyond the kitchen, will remain forever in the memory of our visit to Cartagena. Summary - freshly made, clean, good for smaller groups, tapas, don't be in a rush. Went in after walking the street looking for street art. First, don't be in a rush to order, get your food, or your check - this place is slow but it's a good thing. They take their time to explain the menu if needed and the cooks make sure each dish is perfect. While I only ordered one dish, I saw many come out of the kitchen and each one looked mouth watering. My bass ceviche was full of flavor and when ordering ceviche, I only order from places I trust are clean. The menu is large and has good diversity but tapas is the game here, however, if you want a larger plate they have options. The drink options will not disappoint, I went with a beer to pair with the food but I should have tried one of their blended drinks. Everytime I saw one leave the kitchen I got jealous, next time I will be ordering one of those. Come and relax but make sure you have the time, don't be in a rush!

The food here is simply delicious. If you're a foodie, you must visit this charming Cafe. The prices are great for the quality too. I highly recommend eating and drinking here. It's the perfect spot to escape the heat, sit in the air conditioning, and enjoy a cold sangria/beer/cocktail and perfect meal. The chef makes complex dishes that change. As an example, today's special is "stuffed squid with lamb and cacao sauce". In the photo is the appetizer I had, "yucca gnocchi with crispy suckling pig skin" and a red wine sangria...it was phenomenal. They also have a vegetarian ceviche today made with mango and coconut. As a side note, the street just outside is a scenic spot for photos.

Decent vegan option: lentil burger with potatoes. The patty contains curry which doesn't match perfectly.. Comes with a sauce - make sure it's vegan, because they first brought us one that contained eggs. Nice view and atmosphere. We also had the homemade ice tea which tasted like spiced chai - highly recommend.

We took a ceviche-making class with Chef Maria at Caffe Lunatico and can’t say enough good things about it. The cafe is charming, and we wish we’d discovered it sooner than our last night. Based on Chef Maria’s attention to detail and culinary talents, we know we would’ve had an amazing meal here. The class alone, though, made us swoon and taught us some tips we’ll absolutely take back to our home kitchen. We did a sea bass version (for me) and vegetarian version with mango, coconut, and edible flowers (for my husband). It was an unforgettable experience and a lasting memory of our time in Cartagena. Definitely take this class if you enjoy unique experiences and wonderful food. Big thanks to Chef Maria for the warm welcome to her lovely cafe!

2nd table to be seated after opening. Had a Club Colombia beer. The restaurant started filling up, and everyone was getting there food while we waited. After an hour, I noticed an employee carrying lots of styrofoam meal containers (from another restaurant?). We ordered a 3 more beers to find out they had no more cold. It was then we decided to leave. Too bad, as we heard good things, and were looking forward to eating there. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. I know nowhere is able to please everyone every time.
