A
Covid
situation
made
it
impossible
for
me
to
do
my
expected
homestay
with
a
local
family,
and
Casa
Tere
hotel
became
my
home
base
for
two
weeks.
The
location
was
perfect;
almost
everything
I
needed
was
within
a
10-minute
walk
from
the
hotel!
Silvio,
Marcel,
Marcos
(?),
Gustavo,
Ariadne
and
kitchen
partner...all
the
staff
quickly
became
my
family.
They
were
very
willing
to
help
me
with
directions
to
the
language
school,
supermarket,
tour
boats,
ATM
machines,
and
recommendations
for
places
to
eat!
They
enjoyed
helping
me
with
my
Spanish,
but
were
quite
capable
with
English
too.
The
breakfast
was
very
nice,
eggs
made
to
order,
plus
rolls,
ham,
cheese,
butter,
fruit,
coffee
and
hot
chocolate.
I
often
made
a
ham
and
cheese
sandwich
to
take
to
school
for
lunch.
The
windows
in
the
rooms
faced
onto
the
courtyard,
but
the
guests
were
all
very
quiet.
The
rooms
were
pleasant
and
housekeepers
were
very
conscientious!
The
small
rooftop
pool
was
fun,
and
I
enjoyed
visiting
with
a
former
Chilean
marine
and
his
young
son.
At
first
I
thought
I
should
find
another
place
to
stay,
to
save
money,
but
soon
I
realized
how
perfect
the
location
was,
AND
that
the
nightly
rate
for
my
two-
week
stay
was
excellent.
Muchas
gracias
a
todos!
Por
favor,
disculpame
por
olvidar
sus
nombres!
