STAY HERE, TRUST ME!!! I stayed here mid December for 7 days :) What a beautifully decorated hotel! This hotel is located in a great location near EVERYTHING, all the staff are super friendly, there’s a gated entry/exit, the rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily, There is Hot water/AC/TV/Wi-Fi/fridge(no microwave), An elevator, breakfast daily(not the best but great fruit, juice and coffee!) The roof area was perfect for lounging and the views are breathtakingly beautiful. If you stay here please also visit the restaurant right next door, they have the most delicious food and drinks.

On the internet it looked like a nice little boutique hotel with a sure-footed demeanor. on the Internet! In reality it was more of a shabby dump with rooms without windows and an air conditioning system that always ran at 100%. Besides, the area wasn't that special. the taxi driver had already warned of this ... the breakfast was not good either. There is an extra star for the friendly staff.

Amazing staff and room. Airport shuttle at additional cost. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. There are great views of the city from the rooftop and the inside of the hotel really has a unique Cartagena interior. The mattresses were firm which I enjoyed but if you want something softer you might not sleep comfortably.

Great experience! The staff was amazing! They answered all our questions and provided guidance on tours and things to do. The room was nice and clean, the beds very comfortable. We will definitely come back next time we visit Cartagena!

Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend to all tourists. The hotel is a super short walk (10min) into the walled city. The staff was superb and offered great amenities! Handful of staff members speak fluent English as well.

Might have just been very unlucky. Only slept two hours due to people partying on the adjacent roof until 3am. Bring good earplugs. Friendly staff. Great location. Clean. No hot water. But I think that’s common here

I would've rate 5, the staff is great friendly welcome and attentive. But they charged us a fee that at first we were told it was optional to oay it as an issurance. Then they said it was a tourost fee. And no other hotel charged it for us. At the end of the day it wasn't a lot of money. Overall I do recomend staying here because it's close to the zona amurallada and also to the airport. Beautiful view on the rooftop they have a jacuzzi

Nice hotel. Close to everything. Clean and very well maintained. Staff is extremely helpful and they will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. Everything gets cleaned daily, pool is awesome. View from the roof is magic with some causy chairs and spa. Spa water could be quite hotter but... It's Colombia!

I stayed at Hotel Casa Tere in October and November 2021, forgot to review it. I loved my stay here. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel lobby is beautiful. Our room was nice. Large, comfortable bed, tv, and a really nice bathroom with shower. We enjoyed the rooftop pool many times, and seeing the city from the rooftop let's you see the beauty of the city. It's also on a beautiful street where many restaurants are. I recommend this hotel!

A Covid situation made it impossible for me to do my expected homestay with a local family, and Casa Tere hotel became my home base for two weeks. The location was perfect; almost everything I needed was within a 10-minute walk from the hotel! Silvio, Marcel, Marcos (?), Gustavo, Ariadne and kitchen partner...all the staff quickly became my family. They were very willing to help me with directions to the language school, supermarket, tour boats, ATM machines, and recommendations for places to eat! They enjoyed helping me with my Spanish, but were quite capable with English too. The breakfast was very nice, eggs made to order, plus rolls, ham, cheese, butter, fruit, coffee and hot chocolate. I often made a ham and cheese sandwich to take to school for lunch. The windows in the rooms faced onto the courtyard, but the guests were all very quiet. The rooms were pleasant and housekeepers were very conscientious! The small rooftop pool was fun, and I enjoyed visiting with a former Chilean marine and his young son. At first I thought I should find another place to stay, to save money, but soon I realized how perfect the location was, AND that the nightly rate for my two- week stay was excellent. Muchas gracias a todos! Por favor, disculpame por olvidar sus nombres!

Very close to the walled city and plenty to do in the area. Comfy beds and great customer service.

I never write comments because I think we all deserve a second chance but this time we really felt ripped-off. This place could be nice but it's completely overpriced. Unfortunately, it is one of those places that count on a continuous influx of tourists so they don't have to make an effort with their guests. We paid the price of a top-class Hyatt or Sheraton for the quality of a dodgy hostal, BUT (like they themselves admitted) what you pay for is their "location". Which (by the way) is not ideal given the level of tourism activity of the street - unless you appreciate being harassed every 5 seconds. Specifics. The "pool" is (don't trust the pictures) extremely small. It's a tub, rather. The floor up there is so slippery that I bet they have constant accidents. If you're tall (I"m 1m86) you won't fit in the shower. The breakfast is absolutely minimal (there, again, you can feel the low-cost approach) and it takes place in a dull room which happens to be the Italian restaurant next door (bizarre)/ To crown it all, if you're hot and thirsty don't count on a courtesy bottle of water in your room (which you would expect for the price!!!) : you'll have to pay for it. Which kind of sums up the philosophy of the whole place.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating when we needed help during our stay. The front desk were very knowledgeable about the city and neighborhood, and provided recommendations to great restaurants and attractions. The front desk also helped with activity reservations. The hotel room was clean and maintained daily. Overall, would highly recommend staying here if traveling to the city!
