Love this place! Beds and pillows are soft, which is very important after sightseeing. The place is spotless and the vibe is energetic. There is a shaded patio where you can share drinks or just a good conversation with the host and/or other guests. Price is super affordable. It's a walking distance from the bay, which has a 1.5 mi walking path where the ocean breeze is a plus. Very safe with laundry service on-site, 24 hours pharmacy and convenient stores. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit Cartagena.

Nice hostel. It’s the Cheapest in area for private room. No hot water, the bed is very hard but air con it great. The kitchen is not so good. The Receptionist doesn’t speak English but she is very nice. I liked the breakfast. The Wi-Fi is weak signal in the upper floor. There is a nice supermarket 5 min walking

Decent hostel, we stayed in a private room and it was well equipped. Staff could be friendlier and the vibe wasn’t the best, but it’s located perfectly far from the centro which makes it ideal since it’s not in a noisy neighborhood.

The place is not worth its money. It is not really clean, the staff doesn't speak english, rooms have some really small lockers where you can't put your big backpacks, you can't pay with a credit card (even though it says you can), the land lady walks through the room whenever she wants because the rooms don't have any locks. The place does have a free parking spot though which is cool.

The staff, the breakfast are great. Location is alright. The rooms are bit outdated. Small things broken like the tap, the shower didn't work properly, the floor was broken and the remote control of tv. Also the pool is really poor and not clean. Tho, it also is a bit cheaper than other hostels in the area

The hostel has no english speaking staff, 2 parkings and can’t pay with credit card. The dorms don’t lock from outside and the staff lady likes to walk through the rooms and fiddle with air conditioning and windows. The cabinets to keep your stuff safe are really small. Sink in the bathroom is falling apart and the bathroom in general is not clean at all.

The owner is a sweetheart! The place is new, clean clean, kitchen with new pots, AC in the rooms, good breakfast with fruits, eggs and bread, coffee and hot milk (was great for me to make hot coco with my powder!) And again, the owner will help you with whatever you need and always seeking to get better. I loved it.

It's clean and safe. Edgar is awesome and so are the staff. You'll need to have your expectations in line. I stayed in a 4 female dorm where the bathroom and shower are outside the room. It's a 10-15 min walk to Old City and Castillo de San Felipe. It's a quiet area and so are the people who stayed - from what I've seen. Not a party area, perfect if that's what you're looking for.

I would only recommend this place if you want to sleep for one nihgt, bathroom is not clean and the sink it’s a bit wonky, you don’t get a key for your room, lockers in rooms are small only for your important personal belongings, landlady walked trough our room and controled our air conditioning witch was on only at night, the hostle has two gated parking spots so if you have rental car you don’t have to worry about parking. Landlady doesn’t speak English and you can’t pay with card (only cash).

Was great. I stayed here about a week. The staff is super friendly. It is a block away from great restaurants, 2 blocks from the ATM, close to everything!

Beds are ok and good enough location. But the service wasn’t that good. For that price I’d rather go somewhere else. Thanks tho.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff, awesome location and safe neighborhood. If you riding a motorcycle you have secure parking too.

I have stayed at this hostel for 16 nights because I was attending a language school in Cartagena. The ladies working there were super friendly and always very much willing to help for finding cheap taxis for example. The hostel is clean and a chill vibe where you can sleep properly and have a good time. Breakfast was also good. The neighbourhood (Manga) is very safe and it was fine walking there. Good laundry service with all you need to stay in Cartagena while you visit all the things and places the city has to offer. Located in a residential neighbourhood away from the noise, you can hear cars passing on the first floor, second and third floors are ok. Subway sandwiches and Carulla supermarket one block distance from the place.

Please be aware of this hostel being under police investigation of a robbery of an English passport of one of my group. A visitor with false id of Colombian origin was allowed into the hostel and broke the locks of the lockable cabinets stealing a passport. With the hostel being complicit a ransom for the passport was demanded. CCTV gives evidence and communication with the thief via the hostel makes this a dodgy place to stay. Beware of Colombians named William or Samuel
