I love this place, it’s cozy, great ambiance and the pastries they have are very delicious, so big that you can share with friends. My favorite drink here is the matcha latte, so creamy, nice portion, well balance and delicious. The pistachio croissant is to die for, so good, not too sweet, creamy and flavorful, the croissant de corozo is also very good, nice taste, the jam inside is mixed with cream, not to sweet as well.

Small cafe. Very confused seating, a couple of tables like a restaurant and then couches at the back. Ordered an espresso and a croissant. The woman who initially served me was fine and attentive. The croissant was HUGE and which is reflected in the price, but quite enjoyable. There was another woman working who wasn't as pleasant and unfortunately asking her for a glass of water even seemed too much. Then when it came to paying she didn't even tell me how much everything came to and just placed the machine in front of me to tap my card. I also spoke Spanish so there wasn't a language issue, regardless I find this extremely unprofessional. When the price came through on my phone I was quite shocked and actually went back to the cafe to ask what it was that I paid for, as I had some idea in my mind what the price should have been from the menu. Additional charges not including the usual service but also charging me extra for the espresso because they had decided to give me a double when I asked for a single among other things. So make sure you ask to see the bill to check what you're paying for. It doesn't matter about the quality of anything else if the cafe is a cheat. Also the coffee wasn't that great either.

Angel the barista makes the best coffee I've had in Cartagena! And I've tried many, including the Época across the street. The machiato is delicious and addicting, and the food and pastries also great. It's a tiny spot but somehow always space enough for us, and the service is cozy and friendly. Great place to pop in and out for a quick cup, or to chill and chat for a while!

The coffee here was outstanding! The barista whipped up some great coffee, and there’s almond milk too if you’re vegan/dairy free.

I’m only in Cartagena for a few days, but The Heron has become my go-to for good coffee and a tasty sweet snack. The staff team are friendly and attentive, and the interior of the cafe is chic and inviting. I love coming here to cool off from the heat and read my book for a little while.
