We stayed here for our honeymoon and was completely satisfied with our stay. We choose one of the suite to stay in with a private jacuzzi, balcony and corner view. The staff was excellent, attentive, hospitable and efficient. The gastronomy and mixology for a hotel was delightful. The intimate rooftop was perfect to enjoy for small setting with full sun throughout the day. The hotel is located centrally in the heart of the action which was perfect for us. Gets a little noisy at night until closing but didn't bother us. Very spacious room with high ceilings, with new upgrades and vintage character. Definitely will stay here again when we visit the area as a choice. Thank you..!

Exceptional rooms, locations, and service quality. I was blown away by this hotel. Rooms are perfectly poised for old Cartagena with sound proof windows but balconies that can be walked onto. Service is a cut above with proactive staff. Special call out to the manager, Sheikh who is clearly driving the experience. Great rooftop pool as well.

My husband and I had a lovely time in this hotel. It located in the center and despite the crowds around, the room was well isolated. The manager, Sheikh, and all staff were friendly and helpful in every possible way! Clean and spacious room, great food and service! Don’t miss the roof pool in sunset. Highly recommended!

One of the elements I would highlight from the hotel is the service, friendliness and attention to detail from the staff. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. They have different breakfast options but if you would like other things they have another hotel nearby and you can go have breakfast there. They have a samll swimming pool in the last floor. Although the windows are sound proofed there is alot of noise in the adjacent street so depending on your type of sleep this could be an upside.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We were immediately impressed by the design throughout. It felt modern, but tasteful and not out of place. Our junior suite had a huge bed, tall ceilings, modern appliances, luxurious shower, and cute balcony overlooking the street. The rooftop pool area was breathtaking. The staff couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. Only improvement would be thicker windows, but Centro is just inherently loud. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

We truly felt everyone at Casona del Colegio (Sheik and his entire staff) went above and beyond during our stay. From the amazing breakfast, to the room, to providing taxis, to ensuring our happiness - everything was taken care of. Thank you to the entire team.

Awesome boutique hotel! Check out is at 12! Had an oke massage (little too firm for me and the girl kinda insisted on giving her tip while it kinda hurt) but just would skip the massage next time. Service is impeccable food is great and the pool is nice. It’s a little small tho but I was traveling solo. They even make the room when I didn’t ask for it and I could borrow a charger and I got earplugs for the noise on the street. They warned me in advance. The water in the shower never got hot but it was so minor in a city that’s 30 degrees Celsius. If I ever go back to Cartagena I’d like to stay here again :). Staff speaks good English (not the masseuse) which is rare here!

Recently stayed at Casona del colegio in Cartagena and I must say WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Our room (I think it was called Guajira) was delightful, my favorite perks the rain shower (an excellent touch) and the view from our jacuzzi (calendar worthy.) You’re right in the middle of all the great restaurants, touristic musts from the wall city and nightlife. And at the same time they do a great job at turning the busy scene around the moment you walk in. The breakfast is included which works out and super filling. You have option of a fresh juice (coconut smoothie a must) a hot beverage, a breakfast entry plus a breads/pastry basket AND fruit bowl. Having this every morning allowed us to enjoy our excursions and vacation days much more productively. Service was great even at late hours of the night. We had lunch at rooftop infinity pool one day and a couples massage in their massage house by the pool before departure. * Can not wait to stay with them again! Thank you Casona del Colegio and Sheik the manager for your incredible service.

We stayed at Hotel Casona del colegio for four (4) days and it was absolutely phenomenal. The rooms are spacious, modern, beautifully decorated and the AC and Wifi are excellent. We loved it so much we rented out the restaurant and had our wedding here. Sheik the manager is wonderful and extremely accommodating. There was a blackout but luckily the hotel has it's own generator and we were unaffected. There is a great rooftop terrace pool and indoor garden.Location is also great as you are right in the city center and can easily walk to all locations. We did not hear any noise at night and slept peacefully even though we were next to a balcony. The food here is also very tasty and we highly recommend it. The staff's attention to detail was fabulous and everyone spoke English so it was very tourist friendly. Amazing hotel, very nice and comfortable rooms. Personnel was very helpful and polite, except for the lady on the front desk for check in. She was not happy to receive us and work when we arrived. Despite this, we would stay here again! Location is superb and the rooms amazing.

This was our first time in Colombia and we were absolutely in love with this hotel! Not only are the facilities/rooms exquisite but Everybody was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. They helped with all our travels and helped getting us excursions - even gave us a free room upgrade halfway through our stay! We 1000% recommend staying here

My husband and I stayed here with family and friends prior to our wedding in Cartagena in February. Throughout the booking process, Sheik was very helpful as we had many different rooms with different check-in / check-out dates. Once we arrived, Sheik and his staff made us feel so welcomed and at home. The hotel is beautiful, from the rooms to the rooftop pool. The cocktails are delicious and the breakfast is great too. We unfortunately had a small emergency during our stay and needed to go to the hospital and again, Sheik and his staff were so incredibly helpful and caring throughout this process. One thing to note is that the hotel is on a loud street due to some very popular bars being nearby. They do provide earplugs if you ask, but even still it can be quite noisy. If you are a light sleeper, maybe opt for one of the interior rooms. We would highly recommend Casona Del Colegio not only for its beauty, but for its amazing hospitality.

This hotel is kind of sketchy. They wanted us to pay a month in advance for a booking we had already made with free cancellation until a few days before because other people were interested. We just canceled the booking and booked a five star hotel block away for a cheaper price with a better room so I don’t know how “other people were interested” if we were able to get better rates for a better hotel close by. I am honestly not sure how it gets all of these positive reviews.

We HIGHLY recommend staying at Casona de Colegio. My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Cartagena. It is very central, with easy access to all of the shopping, food, and beaches the city has to offer. Despite its proximity to the city life, it felt incredibly secure, with a staff member or security nearby 24/7. Our room was clean and comfortable (the bed arguably was more comfortable than our bed at home!). The staff were also incredible; every single team member felt like a friend upon our departure. Their recommendations helped us get out on the water and they were as knowledgeable as they were friendly. We had a blast and would stay again! Gracias Casona de Colegio!

The rooms were amazing, service was impeccable. Sheik Rojas and his team did everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. We used Hotel Casona Del Colegio as a base for exploring the North Coast of Colombia and some included over night trips to Rosario islands and San Andrés. Each time we checked back in we were met with the same professional service every time. The breakfast was delicious and the pool area is very relaxing.

Hotel management over sells the rooms and then start asking customers if we “wish” to move to another hotel from the same group. We were asked many times and ended up accepting to move for the last night. Also, the street were the hotel is, has late time bars and clubs with not very nice people and “girls” around until 3 am. Rooms and service and breakfast and food is good. Staff is friendly.

Update: went by a second time for breakfast, and unfortunately there were none of the great croissants and the sourdough bread was replaced by some boring industrial white bread. Other than that, still a great place, but a pity with the breakfast. We stayed here as a family of 5. Everything was fantastic, it was the best hotel we have stayed in so far on our six week trip. The breakfast was fantastic (loved their juices and smoothies), the staff super friendly, the design well thought through, and the service spectacular (they went beyond what you can expect). The only but we have is that the street outside can be noisy at night, earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper.

Great hotel, great location! Breakfast was really good with plenty of different options from fresh juices, to pancakes and viennoiseries. The manager Sheik was kind enough to find a solution when we had to leave one day earlier, thank you for that. Ask for a room in the back if you want something a little quiter

We had a great experience here. The welcome free drink is delicious; the room is quiet and somewhat high tech; the breakfast is good; the hotel staff are super friendly. Will definitely come back here again.

I really loved my stay in Cartagena and Casona Del Colegio was a big part of why. The people who work there, especially the manager Sheik who helped me with so many things while I stayed there. The restaurant is also amazing — especially their ceviche. Would always come back here when I visit Cartagena again!

I have stayed in many hotels and I can honestly say that this is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The rooms are beautiful. The lobby, dining area and other common areas are beautiful. It is a peaceful haven in a chaotic city. From the moment we walked in the doors to the moment we climbed into our taxi to head to the airport, the service was incredible. We could not fault the staff on anything. True 5 Star hospitality. All the staff were great, but special thank you to Sheik for looking after us.

It's a bit loud at night in old town Cartagena but this hotel does their best to mitigate it with thick sound blocking windows. Everything else here is incredible.

This place has been amazing all the way through. The room is big and the ac is nice and cold. That cold AC is necessary in the heat of Cartagena 😅. We’ve also had breakfast at the hotel everyday and it’s been pretty good. Main positives for me are the big room, cold AC, and great water pressure on the shower. The service has also been amazing. Would definitely stay here again
