I'm not sure about the hotel but on our boat tour, our boat stopped here. They charged 80.000 pesos for honestly not great food. When it was all said and done, we ate at the 49th best restaurant in Latin America and the Caribbean for 100.000 pesos less than this beach hut ripoff. It's a tourist trap like all of Cartagena but in the worst way.

I actually had a really bad experience at this hotel. No me gusto. There is a party beach right next door with loud music, loud boats and jetskis and people yelling. 11am-6pm every day. weekends are worse. Hay mucho ruido a la playa porque hay una playa al lado siempre con mucha gente rumbiando, botes, etc. ALSO there was no wifi! When I asked for a discount becaseu of the wifi they tried to tell me I couldn't leave for my flight unless I paid the full price. The management was very difficult to deal with in resolving this, they were not understanding, not nice. You can get to and from the location by taxi for a cost of around 80,000 cop (from cartagena). They have over priced shuttles. The beach itself was nice and the buildings are nice and the normal staff is nice. The food was good.

Hotel has a perfect location and very nice decoration. It is the only one hotel in the island. The sea has all the colors of blue and hotel has a pool. You can do free kayaking, there is a beach volley court but there is no WiFi ! The breakfast is good but is not enough, you need to ask for more(with paying extras) You have to pay for The lunch and dinner and the food at the hotel is expensive but you can eat a crab or lobster at the island from a local seller(for the lunch, I don't know if they sell at dinner time) the rooms are small but comfy and cosy. There is a small fridge(if you bought snacks like chocolate candy ect. you can store it there but there's not so much space). Because of the fresh water problem to bring re island the toilet wasn't working properly, we used the common toilet(We are the only guests).

Great service, beautiful place. Little bit sorry that the space were you can swim is not so big. But all the rest is amazing!

AVOID THIS PLACE: They'll Kick You Out For VIPs! At this hotel, regular guests are disposable! Abruptly ousted mid-stay for a Colombian VIP, I found myself suddenly stranded. Supposedly an 'electrical problem,' yet the VIP's arrival, known to me via a mutual friend, was suspiciously timely. Even staff admitted the VIP's imminent check-in, but they had the gall to stage a power outage minutes before my forced checkout! Don't risk it - plenty of superior, honest establishments around!

The place is great, however the management can do a way better job at keeping the place in better condition, also they aren't very accommodating when the lights go out and the dock should be in optimal condition, it needs lighting and better structure, if they want to have repeat business I suggest they improve their service, that says a lot about management in my opinion

Terrible communication. I don't recommend any foreigner to stay here. They change plans at the last minute, don't talk clearly with customers, and overall not a trustworthy place to spend money. Look for elsewhere.

This hotel is off Playa Blanca, so it feels more secluded from all the crowd that goes to Playa Blanca itself. I had a wonderful stay with my partner during a long weekend The lobster was exquisite, as well as the "patacon pisao", which it's a typical dish from the Caribbean coast. We felt that we were so disconnected from the world and it was what we were expecting from our stay.

I haven't booked a stay at the hotel yet, but my "pasa dia" was delightful. The beach is beautiful and private, the staff was friendly, the service was great, and the food was delicious. I also liked that there were zero vendors around. I would 100% recommend a visit/stay at Agua Azul.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to any person looking to spend a good quality time in Colombia. The service was excellent, the check in was fast, and the rooms are just perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Agua Azul!
