We got scammed and mislead with the hostel quite a bit. They charged us a different price for the room then we agreed upon, then they charged 40,000 pesos for basic burgers, and when I asked for help with getting the bus they lead me to the wrong place and told me I could only take their friends private expensive shuttle. They claimed to have wifi but it didn't work. They also turn off the electricity early so it gets too hot to sleep without the fan working. It's a bummer because this place could have been awesome if they had been more honest and hadn't price gauged us.

Amazing hostel! We stayed here for two nights over the weekend and we loved it. We got 5 star service the whole time we were there and the breakfast served each morning was delicious. When you arrive ask about the different excursions offered and book them through a man that comes around each day. Would highly recommend though if you are spending time on the beach to walk up a little further to get cheaper food and drink as the bar directly infront of the hostel is a little expensive. Other then that there are no complaints about the hostel itself We will 100% be back!

Would definitely recommend this hostel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast is great and a relaxing way to start the day. The best part of Ichtus is definitely the owners/staff. Benjamin in particular was very communicative, easy-going, and helpful (also, he speaks English perfectly, so that helped us a lot). I would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone staying on Playa Blanca, especially if your Spanish isn't the best (though the staff also speaks Spanish perfectly, so this isn't an issue for Spanish speakers!). If you are heading back to Cartagena from Playa Blanca, definitely talk to Benjamin about a taxi. Booking through him made things very easy for us.

Basic. Rustic. Average for any accommodation you'll find on playa blanca. Best part was the staff - very nice and told us how to avoid scams. Worst part was the toilet with no sink upstairs, the sink that kept breaking and the room was incredibly hot at night after the power went off (at midnight, daily, on the entire beach).

Be careful, the Hostel wants a payment inbetween 24 h with a regular colombian transaction. No Creditcard or Paypal payment possible! So it might be good for colombian tourist but not for foreigners! Better book another hostel!

Easy to find on Playa Blanca. Beautiful rooms. Husband and wife staff was very helpful and welcoming.
