We
had
a
few
hours
to
kill
before
flying
back
home
so
we
decided
to
have
lunch
at
Tayybeh
and
it
was
worth
the
trip!
The
restaurant
is
located
just
two
stops
from
the
Aeroporto
de
Lisboa
and
the
interior
is
sleek
and
beautiful,
the
owner
and
his
wife
decorated
the
premise
themselves
including
the
murals
on
the
wall.
One
of
the
murals
is
their
family
home
in
Damascus
which
is
where
the
restaurant
interior
drew
its
inspiration
from.
The
owner
greeted
us
upon
our
arrival
and
we
felt
instantly
welcomed.
Ordering
the
food
&
drink
was
super
easy,
all
done
through
the
iPad,
and
each
dish
includes
a
detailed
description
of
the
ingredients
and
a
dietary
info.
For
starter
we
had
eggplant
mutabal
and
it
was
creamy
with
good
amount
of
olive
oil.
I
could
taste
the
delicious
Smokey
eggplant
in
every
bite.
For
our
mains
we
ordered
the
Harrack
Esbao,
a
flavoursome
vegan
dish
with
crunchy
fried
onions
and
bread,
juicy
pomegranate
seeds
with
a
bed
of
soft
pasta
ribbons
and
green
lentils.
We
also
ordered
the
Fattet
Jaj
which
was
the
star
of
the
show-WOW!
The
shredded
chicken
breast,
the
yellow
basmati
rice
which
had
a
hint
of
cinnamon,
topped
with
creamy
tahini
cream,
crunchy
toasted
almonds
and
sweet
pomegranate
seeds
-
was
a
delightful
flavour
explosion!
The
waiter
was
attentive
and
friendly,
she
was
always
looking
out
for
us
to
ensure
we
had
everything
we
needed.
Overall,
we
had
a
fantastic
and
memorable
experience
at
Tayybeh
and
we
look
forward
to
visiting
this
wonderful
restaurant
when
we
visit
Lisbon
again.
I
am
also
looking
forward
to
trying
out
the
recipes
