Piccolo locale a conduzione familiare (la sera è completamente gestito da moglie e marito che si interscambiano tra servizio e piano cottura). Il signore durante la giornata lavora al mercato del pesce, quindi il pesce che viene servito la sera è stato selezionato e scelto in giornata. Pochi piatti, ma accattivanti (presenza sia di pesce che di carne). Il menù viene infatti recitato dalla signora al tavolo in base alle disponibilità del giorno. Tutto è cucinato e condito molto bene, i sapori nel piatto sono sempre ben presenti. Ancora un po' fuori dai giri di conoscenza, ma decisamente valido!

Quattro stelle per la qualità del cibo. Una in più per la genuinità e la cordialità dei proprietari. "Qui si mangia solo pesce" ci dice la signora... 🙂 Scopriamo poi che il menu (in verità non molte opzioni) è quello... Raccontato a voce... E preparato in funzione del pesce fresco che arriva direttamente, se ho capito bene, dalla pescheria di famiglia. Quindi: non aspettatevi grande scelta... Allo stesso tempo aspettatevi che quello che c'è sarà davvero spettacolare! Caldamente consigliato se vi va un'esperienza un po' meno turistica, per contro, più fresca e genuina.

Delicious food. We went for lunch - short menu but everything was delicious including desserts. We had gnocchi with small mussels. The owner was very attentive and friendly, taking care of us as if we came to her house for a dinner.

A family-run restaurant, very close to the famous romanesque Basilica of San Piero, half a way between Pisa and the sea resorts. It's worth to drive to this friendly place in order to enjoy the fresh fish: I've especially enjoyed the starters and the excellent fried squid + prawns, altough also the first courses looks very tasty... I will be definitely back there in order to enjoy all the other suggestions of the menu. Toilets are ok, with easy access to the people with mobility impaired. Easy parking, on the tree-lined road behind the Basilica.

Essential restaurant with exceptional food. Referring to quality and quantity the cost il very low. It's really worth to take half an hour to get the restaurant from Pisa.
