Knowing that some species from prehistorical time are still in one of the close lake (forbid to access) it is even more exciting.

Amazing cave, you have to buy tickets in advance, get the combo for 2$ extra to see the castle, tour sets out every 30 minutes. The guide will talk a lot, if you wish to take photos of the whole cave wait for the group to pass towards the end and then go crazy, she will speak for 10 minutes at the very end of the cave so you have time. Very knowledgeable guide, she speaks English and Italian, I would say 75% will be in Italian.

Unfortunately, rating 1, only because we didn't see the cave. Yes, there were bad seas and I understand that had an impact, they might have had to close, but it's terrible that they don't publish such information on their website or at least Google Maps. We also drove from Brindisi almost 2 hours to realize that they weren't working because of the bad seas. Horrible, wasted time that day, and if we could have read that information on the website we would have come up with another plan.

A beautiful spot for a quick dip. The swimming pool is a great option but you will need to buy your ticket.

Worth visiting. A few reminders - buy tickets at the Grotte entrance(not where cars are blocked off). Check time schedule for tours in advance! For example, the English tour is offered at 11am and 4pm. You can’t just go in anytime. We had to make two trip to see it

It's a worthwhile visit with a guide waiting at the entrance of cave to provide detailed history of this cave. Just spots in the cave is narrower and low. Just need to be careful and not touch :)

It's simply an amazing place, not only the cave but all this part of coast. The cave is incredible, stalactites and stalagmites are an actual spectacle of the nature. I suggest to book the boat tour starting from Marina di Castro to see also the other caves on the surrounding

Unique experience visiting this grotta. The visits are guided which makes it very interesting . Highly recommended. A bit dark and slippery but still pretty easy walk inside.

The longest grote in the region, 150m. A shelter for humans since mamouth times, according to the local guide. Partly inaccessible to the public because of 2 endemic species, protected.

Beautiful place! We went there at the end of May therefore the area was not as crowded as it is bound to be in July and August. We had to go down a long flight of steps to reach the entrance of the cave. The view was breath taking and the water colour memorable. Once we reached the big cave, we had to walk a bit further to enter the small cave and see the beautiful natural pool inside. Highly recommended but if get a chance, go there in May/early June or September, avoiding the high season as there might be a queue to get down to the cave.

Must visit this naturally formed cave that holds a beautiful history. There is a ticket of 5-6 euros per adult to enter this beautiful cave.

Attenzione agli orari, quelli rispettati sono solo quelli affissi in biglietteria, così come quelli delle visite guidate.
