😠 Was sold a bed and mattress together. Once it arrived and I assembled it I discovered there was a 6 inch gap between the mattress and the bed frame.     Awful shop. I bought a bed and matress from them but it was delivered with parts missing. I emailed/rang and eventually went back into the shop where firstly it was suggested I was too unskilled to build it correctly (Amusing, since I've been building things for 30+ years), then one of the horrible staff accused me of breaking the part in question and claiming it wasn't in the pack. I was told, "A lot of customers do that" apparently. They eventually agreed to send out a replacement but by this point the "Warehouse had shut for Christmas" so I would have to wait till the new year. I was told this around 10 days before Christmas. Eventually two guys showed up in the middle of January (Once the warehouse had re-opened) and wearily built the bed for me and straight away saw that the wrong parts had been delivered originally. It was about 2 months from paying for the bed to actually be able to sleep on it. Not a single sorry from the shop or head office, who argued with me endlessly via email. It's amazing that a place with customer service this bad still exists in 2019. Terrible. Response to owners comment: No chance.

    Took my parents to get a new mattress, both have health issues and the staff were fantastic. They were patient and answered all the questions my parents asked (even though they asked the questions more than once!). My parents both said afterwards that it was such a good experience and wished all shops were this helpful. They are looking forward to the delivery of the new mattress and the removal of the old one - all sorted by Hamseys.

    Extremely poor and unprofessional service. Lack of communication is utterly disgraceful. Ordered two kids beds and two separate mattresses about near enough 6 weeks ago. The whole order should have been delivered within 2 weeks (due to the coronavirus), called numerous times to be told every time ‘ they are expecting the order at the warehouse the following week’ called again to be told the same thing. Called the following week to then be told one the beds is out of stock! Was not told until I called them! No email update. Nothing. Got my refund on that bed as they asserted the other bed and two mattress are due that same week and will be delivered. Called for an update. Delivery slot booked between 9am-5pm that same weekend. Waited in all that day. Got until 4.30pm I called for an update to be spoken to in a disgusting manner by a colleague who told me basically the order will arrive when it arrives. Was completely shocked by his response. When I was told previously until 5pm. The colleague did not even let me explain the history of this order. He then told me he had to get off the phone. Could not believe the disgusting unprofessional call I had. Was so upset as we have two young children waiting for their beds! By 7pm the order finally came. Only to be two mattresses. The delivery man informed us the remaining bed was out of stock as well and we should have been told!!!!!!!!!! No communication nothing. Even when I called that same day at 4.30pm I was not told this. Utterly disgusted. So have now requested a refund for this. Will never ever shop at Hamseys again.

    Went to buy a new set of pillows. Good range of options and a decent discount on the ones we went for. The guy in there was really helpful but not in your face. Great local shop.

    I got a new mattress here and I have no idea what it is but oh my god, I have the best sleep now, It is perfect. The Staff here were helpful and lovely and I would highly recommend, I use to dread sleep but with this mattress, It has completely changed and I now struggle to get up because of how comfy it is!

    They park their vehicle which flashes red & white moving adverts towards drivers on Stafford Road. A massive distraction especially the vehicle parks near the traffic lights. Very irresponsible business owners who apparently don't care about road safety or the wellbeing of road users. Updated: please refer to relevant laws and regulations. Self illuminated adverts that are right by a road should not be moving every 2 seconds. Your red and white advert is very misleading (looking like traffic signs) and distractive. Understand your desire to promote your business but this is really not what you want to do to represent your brand. Thank you.

    Had a great selection of beds at very reasonable prices. Went to loads of bed shops this day and this was by far the best. Great advice if you need it too. We needed an ottoman bed and was told all about the different frames. Great shop.

    Fantastic experience! Russell is a legend! I had a absolutely fantastic experience as soon as I entered the store. Was greated by a lovely gentleman, Russell, he was very polite and helpful.He went through all the options with me about the kind of bed and mattress I needed. After the purchase Russell arranged a quick delivery and set-up for me.The delivery guys were lovely they did an amazing job with assembling the bed. I highly recommend Hamseys in Wallington they are brilliant!

    I Could not be more pleased with my purchase!! Really good quality and affordable prices. The staff was so friendly so helpful, answered to all questions. Also my items were delivered on time.     I love this store. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The staff members are really knowledgeable, and offer great advice. Managed to get a half price mattress today, absolute bargain. We always visit this store whenever we need new bedroom furniture, beds or mattresses. They offer free delivery and they take your old mattress away for a small charge. Highly recommend!

    Bed frame broke after 3 months due to a bad design of the centre support wood that goes down the middle of the bed, to save money they put five finger joint connections when it should be one long strong piece wood. Needless to say one of them joints snapped and the mattress and myself dropped to the floor. The Wallington staff member that I was first talking to was very rude and was very keen to push blame on first of all me and when that didn't work, it moved on to the company they order the beds from. Which I see as a them problem, if they where a good company then they would get there stock from a good company. This then moved on to being told that we would have to wait for the part too. There customer support doesn't work weekends and even then that we would be looking at weeks for the part to come. So that means we wouldn't have a bed for weeks, they didn't seem to have a problem with this at all. End of the story i had to waste £46 on timber and fix the bed myself.

    Purchased a bed for my 11 year old son during lockdown. Bed base has broken, when I looked at the divan base released that the base had been held together by cardboard!!!! Waste of money, poorly made and awful quality.

    I went to the Wallington store today and was severed by a lovely gentleman called Stuart. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I bought a great mattress and it was so reasonably priced. There was also no delivery fee and no fee to take away my old mattress and they bring to the room of your choice. I'm so impressed and happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this store.
