I have been looking for an excuse to try Haberdish. My friend decided to host a birthday dinner which gave me just the reason I needed. When we arrived we were seated promptly at a high top table near the door. Our waiter was attentive throughout our time there. We received complimentary house-made cornbread with sweet tea butter. I could have easily eaten the entire plate myself but figured it would be rude. As a starter, I ordered the kale salad which was yummy. The creaminess of the goat cheese was divine! For my meal I had the Creamy Cheddar Grits (emphasis on the creamy) and the Pearl Sugar Liege Waffle that a friend ordered as an add-on to her chicken. I honestly wasn't a huge fan of the grits or the Mac and cheese (I sampled a friend's order) because of the creaminess but that was just my personal preference. The waffle was delicious and barely needed syrup. I also tastes a friend's Collard Greens which were flavorful with just the right amount of heat. I definitely plan to return and try some more things on the menu!

Enjoyed the brunch! Make sure you get there a few minutes before opening for immediate seating or make reservations ahead of time. Beautiful ambiance. The outdoor covered patio is heated and comfortable. They definitely abide by health safety protocols. The chicken was outstanding. Lots of flavor, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The homemade cinnamon is a delight. It's layers of cinnamon deliciousness. The bread is buttery and flaky. We all enjoyed our meals and cocktails. Definitely worth going. Excellent customer service as well.

Great little place. Portions are really heavy so get ready! Good southern food with a little taste and visual twist. We stopped in for lunch and the service was great and the food was good. Everything had the right amount of kick - and the flavors are a homage to the real south.

WOW! Haberdish exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The ambiance, food, cocktails, and service are all stellar. Laura and Jacob went above and beyond in serving my husband and I. Between the two of us we had fried chicken nashville hot, veal braut (chef special), pan-charred cauliflower, cast iron cabbage, and braised rainbow carrots; we ate everything!!! We finished the night with some apple hand pies which was a classic yet so delicious ending to the meal. My husband got the karma and I got a refresher cocktails, which I would gladly return just to sit at the bar and explore their cocktail menu. Don't hesitate, just make a reservation. We'll definitely be back!

This place is amazing! The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. The skillet seared brown butter trout was literally the best trout I’ve ever had, no exaggeration. There were so many options on the menu it was almost overwhelming. A lot of desirable small plates and sides. I’d definitely go back with a group to try a little bit of everything. The oysters were awesome. The sweet potato dumplings were also a favorite of mine. Added bonus, they have cbd infused cocktails that are spirit free. It was nice to enjoy a well crafted drink that didn’t include alcohol. I was in town for a week for work and this was hands down my favorite. So much so, I recommended it to colleagues later in the week. Would definitely recommend.

First time visiting this restaurant and was pleased with the interior decor of the restaurant at first. Overall the ambience is nice and welcoming. There is an outdoor portion of the restaurant that is screened in and has heaters which makes it a cozy area. My party of 4 was seated promptly and the service was great. Our server was very informative about the cocktails. All drinks were great. Food was average but the dessert were excellent especially the banana pudding and whoopie pie

Visited this popular place at Noda on Saturday. We ordered the whole fried chicken, cast iron cabbage and pickled vegetables. The chicken tasted really tender and crispy on the outside. The cabbage tasted really good with some bacon and cheese in it. Loved it. We were very disappointed at the picked vegetables though, it’s their special on the menu but it cost 8 dollars and came out very small. It didn’t taste good either…. Overall I think this is a good place for chicken but I have had better and cheaper fried chicken in Charlotte.

Delicious fried chicken and quaint neighborhood setting. We had chicken and waffles, collards, and sweet potato dumplings. Each dish was great. The peanut butter and bacon appetizer is phenomenal! We shared a 1/2 chicken which was great for just the 2 of us. The sweet potato dumplings reminded me more of gnocchi. I used some the waffle honey syrup over them. A great addition. Looking forward toba return visit.

Had a lovely time. Great service. Tried the Nashville hot shrimp. They were pretty good. The pickles were the star though. The grits with all the fixings were wonderful. The Mac and cheese needed a bit more flavor to me but not bad. The chicken fingers were pretty good. A little thick on the breading but had a great taste. The ribs were quite yummy. Good sauce. Tried several cocktails and they were all fantastic.

Ummm... The food was truly very delicious... It emphasizes a family style dining. Yeah, it is but the atmosphere here was way beyond family style!! It's more close to a fish market.... I know it has a bar here but the dining area was absolutely too noisy... I would give five stars if I can normally enjoy the wonderful taste of my whole fried chicken!!... Peace ✌!

Food was mostly delicious. The chicken was great - I got a few chicken tenders with the eggplant they had on special (the eggplant was ok). A friend got the mac n cheese, which was AMAZING. Would definitely recommend the mac n cheese. We also tried either the What’s the Tea Punch or the Happy Go Lucky. This was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had, definitely tasted amazing and got the job done 😂

Great quaint place. Portion size was good. The fare is southern food with a little twist, but still good. We stopped here for dinner while in town. The atmosphere was relaxing, low-lit mood. Our server, Q provided 5-star service! It is a version of southern food, but with a twist. We started with the smoked deviled eggs that did not disappoint! It is the right amount of smokiness in the egg & saltiness in the filling. For our main course, we had the fried chicken & tenders, Mac & cheese and collard greens. Their sides are all shareable portions. Pretty came out hot and most of the food was seasoned well. The fried chicken was hot (temp-wise) & had a good crunchy exterior. I am not a fan of salt, and this dish could have used a little bit more seasoning…but that did not stop me from devouring it! The greens were seasoned well and they do have a spicy kick. They could have used another hour of cooking and they would have been “perfect fork tender”. The macaroni and cheese was an absolute delight, perfectly meeting my taste preferences. We also ordered the biscuits…THE BISCUITS were fabulous…and even better with the sweet tea butter baby!!!!! Definitely order the biscuits, as they were fresh, high/tall and perfectly moist/tender! For our libations, we chose the Spiced Pineapple Rum Punch…IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Its flavors were both intriguing and satisfying, making it a wonderful accompaniment to my meal. If you like a tropical refresh, this is the one! They finish off with providing hot towels to clean your hands - AH MAZING!! I would enthusiastically rate Haberdish a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I will definitely revisit again when in town. Haberdish truly knows how to craft a memorable dining experience, and I can confidently recommend it to anyone seeking southern fare cuisine.

Fried chicken is flavorful and crunchy! The “Late Night Text” drink is very good- comes with a coffee bean inside and they don’t hold back on the alcohol. They froze a rose inside ice which was awesome decor for the ambience of Sunday brunch. Grits- they are thick and more of an oat consistency- not the traditional grits. Now, it’s not cheap but you are getting what you paid! The plating, the time they take on cooking the food is worth every penny! Oysters, four drinks, chicken, grits and apple pie- $111.00. Two people.

Food was yummy and hot (temperature). Try the hushpuppies, pickles, purple cabbage, grits, Mac n cheese and fried chicken. the cocktails were well balanced and delicious. Service started off good and declined over the time we were there. We tried not to take it personally as it seemed like our table was forgotten about at times. We had to ask more than 3 times for a lid for a to go container. server disappeared for long periods of time. Had to use other servers to get some items. Getting our check took awhile and then it wasn't accurate. While service wasn't the best, I'd still go again because the food was good and the staff is friendly, just seemed very slow to serve. I also know that the service industry is under a lot of strain right now and this one night might have been a bad night. Still left a good tip for the servers as well.

I would rate this a 5- if the fried chicken hadn't been pretty dry.... dang! The coating was amazing, but the chicken was so dry it was kinda hard to chew. But let me say the roasted bristle sprouts were amazing... the macaroni the BEST I have ever had- my GOODNESS try it! The inventive cocktail drink we had was very tasty... The butter pound cake yummy and different.... This place is a solid 5 in all other ways.... Very cute location, cool design & nice bar -it's a real hopping place! I will come back, and I will try the ribs- I hear they're great. It's hard to not get dry fried chicken, and maybe this was a one off... I say come and try this adorable restaurant for sure... but I'd be afraid to recommend the fried chicken (maybe the chicken strips are moister?)

In town for a wedding and was told to check out the NODA district of Charlotte. Absolutely loved this place! It was kind of crowded during brunch so the 4 of us pony-ed up to the bar. Our bartender was amazing in helping us select drink and dining options. Will definitely come here again

Classy southern style restaurant with darn good food and creative drinks! Younger cousin turned 30 this week we settled here as they could accommodate a reservation for 8 and we had a blast! Food was really good, served family style (aka REALLY BIG PORTIONS)! The fried chicken was tender, the greens were cooked in veggie stock and extremely flavorful, the Mac and cheese was thick & creamy, the ribs reminded us of the Flintstone’s sized portion, and even the kids menu was well rounded. However the best dish - the cast iron trout with compound butter! We all kept coming back to that! The ambiance was very nice and service was great. Definitely in my Top 10 restaurants!

We were in town for a conference. We had some free time and decided to explore NoDa. Very neat little area. We ended our night with dinner at Haberdish. Loved the vibe in the restaurant. We tried several different things. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! We had the chicken of course, sweet potato dumplings, Mac and cheese and biscuits. We started with peanut butter and jelly bacon. I was skeptical but it was quite tasty!! I would definitely go back.

While spending a weekend exploring Charlotte we came across a cool neighborhood with trendy restaurants. Haberdish is the standout and is a must. The dim, clean interior is inviting and relaxing. Our server, Molly, was so pleasant and kind. The chicken is the star of this restaurant, but the sides of Mac and Cheese and Brussel Sprouts are perfect accompaniments. The prices and portions are very fair. We look forward to the leftovers. Spend an evening here and enjoy!

We had a late brunch, it was a great experience. Amazed by the great whiskey / cocktail selection that was available. The Nashville hot chicken was great and you fried chicken and waffles were pretty good good. Best crunch on the chicken I've ever had, it did not get soggy until the last bite. The fresh Vermont maple syrup direct from tree to table and the honey butter went great with the waffles and chicken. They crafted a mocktail which was phenomenal with grapefruit and citrus juice with the right carbonation. The fresh cinnamon roll with dulce de Leche was so yummy, my wife was super impressed! We'll definitely be back.

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good. But my spouse ordered an avocado toast and it lacked flavor. Also, the coffee was legit; really good! Also ordere...
