We came last minute for Queen’s Feast and this is a review of that meal specifically so everyday may be different. The service was outstanding. Cocktails were absolutely perfect. They went down so smooth I wanted to have more and more. The portions were pretty small and I’m not sure if those are standard size or QF size but the food itself was great. Give it a whirl if you’re in the area.

Finally made it here to try the $5 burger special! Details: Mon-Fri from 5-6:30 pm in the bar area. $5 double patty “smash” burger and fries It’s a good burger! The patties aren’t smashed thin enough to be a true smash burger. The fries could have been crispier, so next time I’ll be sure to request “extra crispy”

My husband found this place a while back and we finally got to try it tonight and we had the best experience. The staff was very professional, helpful, and friendly. Our server came around the perfect amount of times. We ordered several small plates because we couldn’t decide what we wanted and our server had each plate come out at the perfect time as we finished the previous plate. We got the duck & dumplings, mushroom toast, fries, scallop risotto, and lamb pasta…. Wow. Just wow. It was the best food we had. Our favorite was definitely the mushroom toast! We also got coffee which was in a French press and that was so good!! We will definitely be back for another date night!

Since this was our first time there, we ordered small plates to share between my husband and myself. We loved duck with dumplings! The duck was crispy on the skin, and soft on the meat, it was very flavorful, and dumplings were very tasty too. For this dish alone, we certainly will come to this restaurant! The other dishes were good, just not as impressive to us as the duck. Overall, food is great, the portion is a little on the small side.

My feelings about this place are quite mixed. The ambience was incredible. We had quite a large group. They split us into three tables with different servers which worked out great. Water then they brought out a cheese plate and one with bacon jam each for tables of 8-10. For a cheese plate, there wasn’t an over abundance of cheese and passing both up and down the table was a bit awkward. The drinks were fabulous. I ordered the Tools of the Trade which was a vodka based orange drink. I also tried two of my colleagues, all of which were perfectly balanced. We had a prix fixe menu which started with a farm salad with farm green mix. However, the mix was only kale. The salad was acceptable. I think some cheese or something salty other than the croutons would have cut the sweet. I ordered Shrimp and Grits which okay. The grits needed more flavor for my tastes. I expected to be able to cut my shrimp with a fork but a few of them were a bit rubbery. I’m also not so sure chorizo has a place in Southern shrimp and grits. Andouille sausage is so classic. Overall, the service was impeccable-especially with a large group. But the food wasn’t 4.5 star in my opinion. Next time I’ll get the filet mignon.

The food and service was great. The owner was very accommodating to our group, as we ended a video shoot with dinner at her restaurant. 6 people in our party and quite a number of cocktails.

Definitely a hometown Southern vibe with a modern touch. Cocktail menu is very unique. Pictured is a 3 rum blend (forgot that name).. the other one is called I Took a Pill in Seville.

I was in town for a work conference and happened upon this restaurant my last night. The food was delicious! We had the "supper" special for two with lamb, a shared salad, and appetizer. The lamb was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The manager made her way around checking on the guests as well. Very friendly staff, lovely environment (sat on the patio), and delicious food!

Just dined here on 10/13 to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. I grew up in Charlotte, but we live in Ohio now, so a Charlotte friend recommended Dogwood (and was also with us that night). Got there early and had wine at the bar while we waited for everyone to arrive - they have Saldo which is a red I like. Really liked the ambiance. My son and I shared several things including the French fries, duck and dumplings, and American wagyu flank. We tried some crab cake that my sister ordered. Two others ordered the fish - which looked very good! For dessert, we got three types of ice cream (including one with corn), and others shared some of their pumpkin cheesecake. Overall, the meal was quite delicious! The service was excellent. Wish I still lived in Charlotte now!

I've been here a couple times. Great food, excellent drinks, and friendly staff. Benji took excellent care of us this last visit and the manager (didn't catch her name) was doing a wonderful job making sure customers had the best experience. We love that this has an upscale yet cozy and unpretentious vibe. We will be back!

This is a must try for the Southpark area. The service is impeccable and the food is even better. It's truly a southern curated menu. I highly recommend the duck and dumplings, and shrimp fritters to start with. It's very tempting to get even juice and favor off of your plate with the ribeye steak and shrimp and grits.

This has been on the list of places to go in Charlotte for a while. I was just waiting on the right occasion and I wasn't disappointed. The bartenders were friendly and fast. The food was prepared timely. The overall experience was good. I will definitely go back as there were plenty of dishes that sounded good but I couldn't order them all. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Five star service, five star food with one odd and out of place exception. It wasn't wygu. Was supposed to be but it was sirloin at best. A delicious sirloin I might add with complimenting flavors and an amazing tasting meal as a whole. Everything minus the wygu/sirloin was perfection. Top notch for the Charlotte food scene. They also had a special touch for our anniversary. Get the desert.... This is exceptional as well. Our server was pleasant.

We had a lovely dinner here for our 9yo’s birthday. Our server Sean was very nice and professional. The shrimp appetizer was tasty but the sauce was a bit too salty. My husband and I split the market salad, which Sean brought to the table on two plates. We ordered the ribeye and filet mignon and subbed a different vegetable for the potatoes on both entrees. Both steaks were perfectly cooked. The chocolate espresso ganache cake was very rich and delicious. My 9yo son loved it. Overall, we had a nice experience and recommend it to others.

We had a great time at Dogwood Southern Table. The ambience at this restaurant is just great. Our server was knowledgeable about their full menu, listened to what we were looking for and got the chef to make some special items for us. The food was simply spectacular! Right portions of appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. We ordered the crab cake for appetizer and the sauce that came with was outstanding! Everyone’s entree dishes were spectacular - we ordered NC Trout, Panko Crusted Flounder, Ribeye, and the Filet Mignon. For dessert, we shared the carrot cake and ganache chocolate cake. Both were fantastic although the carrot cake was a hit as it was moist and tasted like real carrots. While we were dinning, our server and three different people came to check if all was good. Normally we would be bothered by that, however, they timed it just right and it felt like they truly cared to know how we were doing. This is a 5-star experience as you get both service and high quality food. Definitely recommend and will for sure be back.

Not impressed, but not unwilling to try again. Sometimes stuff happens in this line of business, and I get that. It took 2.5 hrs to complete our meal. 😬 The salad was awful. As in holy cow what was that awful. I tried to take a bite of a cruton to absolutely no avail. Steaks were cooked perfectly, tho! Potatoes were good. Dessert was good. The grill person is awesome! The side cooks are great, too! If I was the head honcho, I would re-evaluate my management team, tbh. As in MAJORLY. The front of house is ... Rough. I dont think I saw a single server have a smile on their face. As a long ago server, that's a HUGE red flag as to the working conditions of the business. Again: in this line of work, some days just suck, so maybe I hit a bad day. I like to think benefit of the doubt here, but still 😬. I get the whole "experience" ambiance I believe was trying to be accomplished (I was there with a work event of about 15), but the delay btw courses seemed exaggerated as if by rule rather than by experience. Everyone was beyond ready to go by the time we finally completed the experience. So yes. Give it a chance for sure. I absolutely could have hit a bad day (mid week-etc)... Besides the salad, food is good enough. I didn't see the bill tho so... 😬🤷‍♀️ Edit to add: everyone who are the ribeye (not me thankfully) with roasted potatoes and cajun butter sauce were sick to their stomachs the following day. 😬🤢

👍👍 It was delicious, exceptional drinks, I expected a heated space, as it was cold. I definitely recommend wearing more then 2 layers in the Winter. Despite everything, this this is arguably the better rooftops in Charlotte. Delicious delicious drinks, decent prices, casual atmosphere, amazing times....

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good. But my spouse ordered an avocado toast and it lacked flavor. Also, the coffee was legit; really good! Also ordere...
