    I truly hate giving negative reviews but this was insane. I walked in with only one customer waiting on his order. The lady who took my order was very pleasant but that's where the good experienced ended. While waiting on my smoothie, it appeared the woman fixing it was in training. Another girl instructed her to put the entire bag of greens in the mixer and her response was "Who eats this in there? People eat this?" Then she looks over at me and says, "Is this yours? You eat this?" I didn't answer. Commenting about personal disgust or disapproval while making someone's food is tactless. I ignore that type of behavior. She handed my smoothie. I waited for another worker to ask what I needed. I told her I needed my straw. She said, "they're right there." I paid for the edible lime straw. Obviously, if I needed a regular straw I would have gotten one since they were right in front of me. No apology. No "my bad". Just handed it to me. They all looked like they were having a good time but this experience was horrible. Educating new staff regarding products that are normal to the clientele should be in orientation. Please inform the staff.

    The absolute worse staff ever. No one can seem to get things going. I watched a gentleman completely cancel his order while another complained he didn't want bacon nor mayo on the wrap he ordered. I should've taken that as a red flag TO RUN!!!.. Yet I stayed thinking it couldn't be that bad. Yet here I am asking my hummus vegan wrap to be made properly.. all I wanted was chicken added and the look of confusion was dumbfounded.. the only worker doing her job correctly was the one making the smoothies. Either re-train your staff or fire them. Bad for business.. seriously

    As much as it pains me to write this review (as a person of color) the ppl in this location definitely need to work on their customer service and professionalism. It takes forever for a smoothie to be made (when nobody else but me is there), my food was cold and one of the workers I’m sure were giving free smoothies to their friends while I was waiting on mine. This particular location definitely has some cleaning up to do! Do better, black folks

    I arrived tonight at 8:55pm to get my drinks and pulled on the door. I was told they are closed by manager and that he was tired from working alone all day. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The store clearly says 9pm not 8:55pm. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!! Horrible customer service interaction

    I was around the area because I have an appointment at the cardiologist hospital. And I Decide to look for some breakfast restaurant and this place pop up. This is my first time visiting this place, and a was not expecting that Everything was really healthy, the smoothies, sandwich, and it taste so delicious. If You are trying to get some healthy breakfast. I would recommend for you to visit this place. I will definitely come back again. Quick visit but worth it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    😡 HORRIBLE! TOO MANY KIDS RUN THIS PLACE! And as far as the lousy response to this review it says it all... No wonder the kids serving up ICE cold jerk chicken wraps and BROWN apple kale salad! Soooo... To reply to the "owner's response" to my understanding who are married, an attorney & former NFL player who I shall assume wouldn't dare respond in such a manner. Long story short... I don't need a Job, I'm very well off AND I will not give $.01 to this particular establishment ever again! 🗣️ Word of the wise... HIRE RESPONSIBLY❗

    This has to be the most UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDEST set of employees I have ever seen. The lack of customer service is ridiculous. You walk in no greeting and faces all frowned up. I said good morning she just looked at me and asked was I ready to order. It’s ridiculous you goto these places and spend money and get the most disgusting service. I will never come back to this location and will be calling corporate. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!

    Long waits, limited hours, and poorly managed location. I placed an order over the phone and when I came for pickup, the store was closed even though hours said open on the door and online. A $14 refund took SEVEN total unsuccessful attempts to customer service over the span of two months. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

    I typically am someone that will only write a review if my experience is especially amazing or especially horrible. I’d give zero stars if I could. The first 2 times I went, they were out of several ingredients and the menu was limited, which indicates poor management. All three times that I have gone into this location, the attitudes were especially raging by the staff. The visit that prompted this review goes as follows: I arrived to the store at 6:57 PM, while they were still making smoothies for other people. There were five staff standing around, only one of them doing something. One of the staff quickly, and with obvious irritability, told me that they were closed, although their door was still unlocked and the store indicates that it closes at SEVEN. If they are going to close at 6:57 PM, then they should accurately advertise that they close at 6:57 PM. From my previous experience, it only takes one to two minutes to make a smoothie. They could have made my smoothie before their advertised closing time at 7 PM. This is unacceptable. On top of that, their website also advertises takeout open until 8pm, but their online ordering webpage wouldn’t allow me to place an order at 6:58pm. Tropical smoothie really needs new employees that serve customers during business hours with a smile and positivity. This location will not survive, at the rate they’re going with the reviews. I’m not the only customer ditching this place.

    Did an online order for delivery. Time for delivery at checkout was around 6:30. After checking out, the time in the confirmation email was 7:05. At 7:09 our food still hadn't arrived so I checked the tracker, and it said 5 more minutes. I checked again at 7:19 and it said 11 more minutes. Food eventually arrived around 7:30, and was cold. The smoothies were melted. We called the store righr before it closed and while our food had not yet been delivered, to ask what we could do. They told us to email the manager about it. The email they gave is fake. I submitted 2 tickets with Tropical Smoothie Cafe and they never got back to me either.

    A total disorganized mess! Whatever you do don't come in on a weekend because me and my husband waited an hour and 25 mins for just two smoothies! We were told everything was online only which is fine we placed a order online but after 30 mins And then when he asked about it they didn't even know what they were making for us, he had to show his receipt multiple times. I can understand being understaffed especially working in customer service for 12 years but I'm sorry there was absolutely no leadership or organization whatsoever. From what I can see there's no manager or supervisor to oversee what all is going on and its disappointing.

    Never had a problem with the food. Smoothies and wraps have always been great. However this is the most unprofessional staff I have encountered. They do not greet customers upon arrival. Even when just picking up a mobile order sometimes you will have to wait 3 to 7 minutes without ever even being acknowledged by any member of the staff. They avoid eye contact and go about doing their food orders. Their appearance is less than professional, including baggy pants to the point of halfway down the bottom and underwear showing. Come here regularly, but would come more if I didn’t experience these professionalism problems.

    I've been coming to this location from before they moved and the last few months of service and food has been terrible. Smoothies taste like lightly flavored water and the flatbread is has either had to much pesto or the cheese hasn't melted. This morning I did a mobile order and still had to wait for my food smh there were two other customers that had issues before me.

    I would like to this is by far the best tropical smoothie cafe around . The owner is awesome!!!!! It seem like he’s got a new staffs which is wonderful. But just the owner and the way he communicates and cares about people is what is so special to me . So please keep up the good work . So people go and and support him . I will always eat here .

    Smoothie wasn’t blended well. It had chunks of ice and I was sucking up straight peanut butter through the straw.. the taste wasn’t good. I always order this smoothie from different locations. Worst one I’ve had!

    My brother goes there all the time and he turned me on to this place. I drive from Madison NC to Charlotte to see what the hype was all about. The place was great and the management staff was out of this world. They are very nice, friendly and customer oriented. The smoothie was delicious and it exceeded my expectations. The freshness was amazing. If you like smoothies this is the place for you😂.

    Oh my goodness! This place is phenomenal! From the moment I walked in the entire staff treated me like a Queen. (Very fitting for the Queen's city) I have a vision impairment and have trouble reading words that are far away. I also tend to be a little shy about ordering because it takes me so long to actually see the menu, especially when I'm in a new place. The staff immediately picked up on it and handed me a small menu. Very impressed! They told me about their menu and understood exactly what I wanted. Did I mention how sweet they were? It only took a minute for my smoothie to be made fresh and I could see every detail of hard work the employees were putting into it to make it just right for me! I got my drink and headed to my car. The smoothie itself was fantastic! Creamy and silky with so mch fresh fruit. I really loved my experience today!

    Never disappointed by this place and the crew. I ordered on the app today and arrived a couple minutes later and my order was already prepared. A very kind employee let me know where i pick it up. You can tell the staff have fun with each other and i admire that!

    Disappointed... our wraps weren't well assembled... it was half spicy and half plain. Half rice and half lettuce... They didn't prepare it properly.

    Smoothies are to die for!!!! Customer service sucks to the 100th power!!!!! Especially if you go after 6pm. My apologies for coming in and spending my money. I promise it won't happen again.

    Girl in green shirt with the black pants and the guy were very polite. She took my order and he mad my sandwich. The other "female" with her pants hanging off of her behind started banging the stuff in the sink and said, very loudly "oh hell no. I'm going on break. I'm not making anymore smoothies. He (talking about me) have to wait." I appreciate my money being accepted as I was told I have to wait for my order to be completed. I assume that if she knew better she would do better but by the temperament of that "female", education and training won't help her. Great job!!!! PS All derogatory language used in my review is the exact words used by your hired and trained staff. Correct the staff for using words, not me for repeating it. SJW someone else.

    I placed my order for delivery because i am at work and do not have access to an car to drive and pick up my order. Per the app it was supposed to be delivered at 12:45 at 1pm I called the store to confirm if it had been picked up. The rep there told me it had not been picked up by DoorDash and he didn’t know when I said okay & hung up so I could just cancel my order then. It disappeared from the app, I called back and told them I would like to cancel, the rep there told me I couldn’t cancel but I could come to the store and get an new fresh order. I told him that wouldn’t work for me because I do not drive , I uber.. Why would I pay for an uber to come to the store to pick up something that was supposed to be delivered earlier? Thats a lot in cost. The rep said he spoke with his manager who will issue an refund , he just had to give them the receipt. I accepted , 2 hours later it was delivered to my office… Not at all satisfied, I understand that they dont have control over the delivery but to say you will do something then send me an cold order 2 hours later… My food is cold , my smoothie is watered down.. I would have just appreciated my refund rather than charging me for cold food i no longer wanted.— update i was reimbursed

    My family and I love this place. They have awesome smoothies. I recommend the BLIMEY LIMEY , SUNRISE SUNSETw/ kale!! The only thing is, the younger African American crew that's there on weekends need to tighten up!! Also make sure that your uniform shirts are appropriately ironed not wrinkled because it look dirty and people eat with thier eyes first and if you have to prepare people's food and drinks, that's not a good look. .Other than that , 👍🏽

    I would stop by every now and then for smoothies. Stopped by today was told they didn’t serve or make anything with blueberries anymore. A huge bummer , probably won’t visit this place again.
