This was a nice long weekend trip. They have some fantastic restaurants, great lodging and some good day hikes. If you like to bike they can easily accommodate you. This is a fun town with good lodging. The Reddy Creek area downtown was a place we spent a half day just wandering around

It is my favorite park in Charlotte, It is conected to RC Natural Preserve, with a total of 927 Acres. IT has 10 miles of hiking, a good size dog park, Nature center, and much more. It is a wonderful place family and friends.

We went on a Saturday afternoon. The park had many people. We walked about 4 miles around. I would highly suggest to remember where you parked exactly. The vegetation is dense and we didn’t feel hot even though it was high 80s.

We came for the disc golf course. It was sort-of fun, but definitely not built for accessibility. We had a hard time maneuvering our stroller through the course, and ended up quitting about 4 holes in. The other players were very nice and courteous and I'm sure if we had been a little more equipped for adventure it would have been a great time. (There's lots of deep trenches and some water near at least one hole, so you may lose a disc or find yourself stomping through some natural areas to retrieve it.)

Nice huge park for the dogs to run and play. Wooded walking trails and benches everywhere. There are a lot of dogs here which is really good for them. Clean park.

Very big and nicely maintained park. Lots of shelters for the picnic and small get together or parties. Nice play area for the kids to enjoy the fun.

Came here to do the Robinson Rockhouse Ruins hike. Trails are well marked. Most of this hike is in the shade, which was nice on a hot day. The visitor center wasn't open yet, so make sure you check the hours. About a mile in and a mile out... fairly flat, but there were some muddy spots and you'll need to watch your step for the tree roots (I did the hike in Birkenstocks so it's pretty easy). You'll have to look up the history of the ruins on your own, but it's a cool thing to see and worth the short trek. Love the little placards with info about the wildlife (like how the frogs sound like rubber bands... super cool to hear and know what it is from the info they provide). You can also help track the creek's changes.

I decided to have a picnic in the park for my brunch group. I wanted a park that was not too busy and kind of secluded. This was the perfect location. Everything turned out great. Of course there were parts of the park that was busy but we were more by the lake in the back. I love this park and will utilize again.

Quiet and calm on a tuesday morning, very relaxing. Took some trails through the woods, that are very well marked. There were a lot of turtles bathing in the sun. Really a nice place to spend a view hours alone or with the family.

Awesome place! Lot of beautiful trails, long trees, and playgrounds for kids. Just make sure you know the out of the trails if you go with kids :). I was a bit worried to get out easily from the trail as it was getting darker! Fortunately I took the correct turn. If I missed that turn I had to walk a lot!

Humming bird week was very informative. The staff and volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. It happens near the end of August each year. If you love nature, go check out Reed Creek or even if you just want a nice family hike

Always a pleasure visiting here. Dragonfly pond trail is amazing. Great for families wishing to get some outdoor time togetherβ€”two playgrounds and plenty of space for kids to run around after a hike/walk. Great activity offerings for kids and the nature center is lots of fun.

This park has a lake, bbq grills, picnic benches, ball fields, walking trails and playgrounds! It's a great park for a family day at the park or to get some vitamin D and a great place to get your steps in. It's scenic and there's plenty of parking. There is even a Dog park! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to spend some time at the park.

This is a great place for a family gathering! The picnic area and rest rooms are clean and accessible! There is adequate parking. The only drawback is that the play area is a little far away from the picnic area. Adults will be needed to supervise children.
