I have loved this large park for years. There is a substantial parking lot and a bus stop near the entrance. It has undergone major improvements including a mini stadium type section. The grass and ball fields are always so well maintained. Closing a couple of the small, lesser used fields provides a great enclosure to let ur dog run or play catch in. You should have your own poop bags, as well your own water to keep yourself and your dog hydrated. No working water fountains that I know of. (A minus). Another is only 1-2 fairly clean port-a-potties but I've never found a bathroom. Big problem?: A lovely man-made pond could be found with both surrounding grass and a couple picnic tables to sit on. Most enjoyable was watching the sking-type power landings on the pond and chat-quacking with the substantial population of geese found there year round.....until last summer. I don't know where they are now and really miss them! My only guess is that after the extensive "poison" algae problem experienced last year in SE small bodies of water that took the lives of too many otherwise healthy dogs and caused dire illness in a few people; that hopefully they were collected by some animal care organization. I hope; am not certain. Perhaps I will get some answer from Animal Care & Control tomorrow.

Fantastic Little League Park in Charlotte, NC. There are 12 baseball/softball fields and two soccer fields. They just expanded and have a beautiful new ballpark, which looks like they can host at little league regional. But what really makes the League tick are the volunteers. Without these selfless people, then you wouldn't have concessions, scoreboard operators, coaches, etc. Thank you!!
