We love the food from Tabla and had a great experience with their lunch thalis on two separate occasions. As you can tell from the pictures, you are given large thalis with flavorful food. Included are the soup; a choice of an appetizer: samosa or tandoori chicken; naan; a choice of various vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes; papad; and a dessert. We opted to add on the biriyani for an additional cost. It was a fabulous meal with plenty left over to take home. The boneless chicken biriyani is excellent, but the goat biriyani tends to be on the dry side.

Have tried many Indian restaurants in Charlotte and this is by FAR the best one! Food is so delicious and service was wonderful! My mother makes the best authentic Indian food and I still enjoyed it here, even with my high standards. Love how clean it was as well.

Great Indian restaurant with delicious vegan options for dinner. Vegans and non vegans alike will enjoy the following options. I also marked everything they have vegan on the menu. - Channa Masala (the chickpea one - comes medium you’ll want it mild which still has a good spicy kick. Get this if in doubt. It’s really good!) - Dal Fry (the lentils - mild) - Samosas(mild/medium - they taste great. Tamarind Chutney is the only vegan dip) - Roti bread (the no butter one). You can see all these in the photos. - Basmati rice A couple more options not in the photos: - Aloo Gobi Masala (mild/medium) - Gobi 65 (mild and they use a separate drier for veggies yay) Place gets busy after 8PM and service is ok but the food is worth it! — eating dinner at Tabla-Charlotte,NC.

Great authentic Indian food! I'm vegan and they have vegan options to accommodate my needs. The service is good too. I'm not sure what bad experiences everyone else is complaining about, but my server named Ratheesh has been very kind and welcoming to me! Thank you for the service and amazing food here. Does not really matter a lot when your waiter lies to you on your face ! We recently had a bad experience while visiting Tabla. It all began pretty decently till we were done with the starters, which was pretty decent. The biriyani's we ordered was below average. The main bummer however came when did not receive our check and decided to go over and pay at the desk. Our waiter Ve***(not putting up the name, was in the receipt) billed us up. I asked if the tip was added and he replied with a 'No'. The amount that popped up on the screen looked a bit on the higher side for the 5 dishes we ordered, so I asked him again, 'Are you sure the tip is not already added ?'. He replied firmly with a 'No, it's not'. So, I went ahead and added a decent percent as the Tip as the device prompted and just entered my email I'd for getting a detailed receipt in my inbox. I didn't give too much thought into it until I received my receipt at a later stage in my inbox. I had apparently tipped the waiter twice and ended up paying close to 45 % extra as tips alone ! My problem here is not the % or the amount that I paid for the pretty average service and courtesy, it's the blatant lie by the waiter that is the problem. He lied to my group twice, all for a few bucks. You, sir, lost your restaurant a customer and some Goodwill with that gesture. Edit (To the Owner's response): Really appreciate the reaction from your side and glad to know that corrective measures were taken from your side to make sure the incident is an one off. As I already mentioned, my primary concern was about the gesture and not the money involved and hence my friends and I are good with your response alone. As for the rating, we will update it based on our next visit :)

The food was amazing! I got the lamb curry and fish masala. They were both seasoned and spiced to perfection. We also got samosas and they were hot and fresh! Def order a mango lassi or yogurt if your spice tolerance is low like me 😅 The spice is so worth it though!

This is only my second Indian restaurant to visit. But I love it! Everything we got was fresh and hot. It also all tasted delicious. The staff was very helpful. Worth the 1 hour 20 minute trip to try it. We will be back.

I've never had proper indian food before. I saw this place on Uber Eats and wanted to try it. I got butter chicken with Garlic Naan and Butter Naan. It is soooo good. I also got the Mango Lassi, but I didn't like that very much. The Butter Chicken is a bit spicy for mild but still super good. The Naan bread is probably the best Naan I've ever had. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

The service provided was commendable, and the quality of food met expectations. Notably, they offered kulfi as a dessert option. However, it is worth mentioning that the Badam Milk was found to be overly sweet. On a positive note, the Ulavacharu Paneer Biryani was exceptional in taste and quality.

I really like this restaurant. I think their food is really good. I went there several times for lunch and dinner. They have plenty of customers and get order out all the time. They got a good rating and some nice pictures on Google. They are doing well. But the restaurant can do so much better too. I have ideas.

We had a family lunch on a Saturday. We were very promptly seated at a table of our choice. Staff, especially the manager was very friendly. Good selection of Andhra and north Indian food. We had cut Mirchi, naan, tandoori roti, ghongura chicken and a paneer dish. Food was good, as expected at a good Indian restaurant. I would have given 5 star, but the tandoori roti was made of all purpose flour, not wheat flour. Also I asked for extra hot, but ghongura chicken was not that hot. But it was good overall. Update after about a year: We got mycusy Haleem and ocean flavored (too salty) planner makhani. Also, main courses for 3 of us arrived at different time for each of us. Certainly not a good experience.

The best Indian food restaurant in 28277. The butter chicken n Biryani is so delicious. The service needs to be a little bit better, but overall I have to do a take out or eat there once or twice in 2 weeks.

My Indian friends recommend this place to me and I ordered takeout at this place for lunch. I love spicy food and I can tell you that their medium spicy Chicken Tikka Masala was spicy! Loved it! To me, it was a little different from other places as it had stronger tomato taste. Other than the chicken Tikka Masala, I also ordered butter naan, lamb biryani( lamb fried rice) and chili paneer, they were all great!

I just love this place!! It’s been awhile since I’ve stopped in. They’ve changed up the presentation of their lunch specials. Portions are still generous and they’ve added some chat items. Shahi Paneer is consistently delicious. So grateful they made it through COVID and to the other side! 😁

Decent place for Indian food. Great Ambience and friendly staff. Parota was store bought but it was tasty. Chicken 65 was juicy and I also had shrimp Masala which was good. I will repeat but I would explore other Indian restaurants near by before coming back here. The decorations were good. They had miniature tabla and other beautiful things that added to decor.

I was a little nervous seeing mixed reviews but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Food was spicy but we like spice (and my hubby is Indian-American so we are both used to spice). We got lamb biryani, goat curry, samosa chaat, and the bread basket. Everything was flavorful, fresh. We had plenty left over too. We went on a Wednesday and service was good. No wait but also not the only ones there. We’ll be back!

We ordered vegetarian recipes in tabla.The portions are pretty good. But veg biryani was smells pan .Taste also bland.Babycorn chilli is taste very sweet personally I don't like taste of veg biryani and baby corn Chilli .Avakay biryani rice is OK .But not beats the taste. Overall it was my second bad experience with Tabla menu. Too much use of oil.biryani also smells very different .we don't like the smell. Totally disappointed with order.

We ordered medium tray of Haidarabadi Veg dum Biriyani for catering and all my guests just loves it. They maintain authentic taste even with bulk order. 100% recommended food !!

This place knows how to take care of their customers. Constantly with a very welcoming demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, regularly delightful and clean.

I placed a rather expensive order here for lunch. They gave me something else other than the goat curry that I ordered. I called to have this corrected and the man told me my order was already ready and hung up on me! I ordered 2 orders of Naan bread and they literally took one piece of Naan bread and cut it in half. I'm beyond disappointed with the service and food at this point. This is what a $100.00 order looks like! I wish I could give 0 stars!!!!

Really yummy food here , Shahi paneer is the best I have ever tasted and their Thali or lunch special on weekdays has very good options . Chicken 65 is amazing and all other starters too . We have dined in many times and even take away orders never end t wrong .

This was my first time eating Indian food. It was so delicious. I order the chicken tikka kabab, Aloo gobi masala. The portion was very satisfying. Couldn’t eat it all. 😂. The staff was so polite and helpful. Very patient with me, due to me not knowing what I wanted. I would be coming back. Oh I can not forget the garlic naan 🫓. Had to get a second order. Lol. Visited Tabla restaurant many times and never disappointed but today was more of a satisfied day for my family. Every item we ordered was upto the mark and very very delicious. My kid also enjoyed everything even though we ordered spicy. We ordered all veg like Baby corn Manchurian, Veg mono Manchurian, Paneer Tikka masala, onion Kulcha, butter Naan, Mango Lassi and we must say each item was like wowwww... We highly recommended Tabla restaurant .... Food is finger Licking....

The food is tasty and super fresh. My wife and I regularly eat at international restaurants and Tabla is one of the best Indian restaurants in town for sure. The servers and owner are great and we love coming here.

I have traveled and entertained at many restaurants in my day. This is without a doubt the best Indian cuisine! The space and ownership/staff is amazing, but the food is AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and cap the night off with the mango smoothie also! Fantastic!

Amazing Indian food!! I wandered in with two friends on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of Indian food. The restaurant was filling up quickly but we managed to snag a table. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. My favourites are Vijayawada boneless chicken biryani and chicken 555.

Great food that taste very authentic. Awesome services from staff and management is amazing. Just moved from California, so I definitely know good Indian food. If you’re looking for a place to go for lunch or dinner, this is the place. Oh yea can’t forget, on top of everything the prices are super affordable w/ good serving sizes. Went here for a birthday party. Big enough to seat 50 odd people. Place was clean, they even have people who will take care of decorations for the party. Food was good. Overall has a nice party hall

portion size is very small as compare to other indian restaurants but prices are high as compare to other indian restaurants Should atleast be generous while giving out food for the price you are charging

Portions were smaller than I expected for spending over $60. They made a substitution for Indian soda and didn't notify me ahead of time, so I paid $3 for a can of Coca-Cola. Wouldn't recommend.

First time to try this place (by delivery). Food was over and above expectations: we had the Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biryani which was fragrant and tasty and the Gongura Chicken Curry "very spicy" which did not disappoint. 5/5 our new favorite Indian place.

We’ve traveled the southeast of the USA selling franchises and have finally found the best tasting Indian food around! The best flavors and taste. Love the Indian beers they have as well. A must try.
