There
are
several
buildings
on
this
hotel
property
ranging
in
age/history.
Beautiful
grounds,
firepit,
patio,
easy
5-15
min
walk
to
just
about
everything
in
downtown
Charlottetown.
Our
room
was
in
the
oldest
building,
constructed
in
1839.
We’re
big
history
people
and
love
staying
in
historic
properties,
and
this
was
quite
the
gem,
however
there
were
a
few
things
that
left
us
a
little
disappointed.
Of
course
it’s
a
150+
year
old
home
but
it’s
in
need
of
a
little
more
love.
There
was
a
strong
musty
smell
and
obvious
water
damage
in
our
room
where
huge
stains
were
apparent
in
the
wall
paper
in
addition
to
it
peeling
off
and
bubbling
in
certain
areas.
The
windows
opened
but
there
were
no
screens.
We
were
told
one
of
our
roller
blinds
was
“charging”
but
in
reality
it
was
broken.
A
number
of
lightbulbs
were
burnt
out,
there
were
cobwebs
in
certain
upper
corners
of
the
bathroom
and
around
light
fixtures,
and
the
bed
spread/top
blanket
was
obviously
not
clean.
The
breakfast
was
delicious,
but
it
was
very
slow.
The
first
morning
we
were
not
offered
a
pot
of
coffee,
and
our
food
took
nearly
45
minutes.
The
second
morning
we
were
offered
coffee
and
served
immediately,
but
our
food
was
somehow
forgotten,
so
we
waited
over
an
hour
which
lead
to
a
late
checkout
(which
the
hotel
did
not
charge
us
for,
and
apologized
for
the
wait).
We
would
consider
staying
here
again
as
the
staff
were
friendly,
it
was
full
of
character
and
in
the
perfect
location,
but
I
hope
they
put
more
love
into
the
Fairholm,
and
fix
their
breakfast
process/speed
a
little.
