I always have good experiences at the Charlottetown A&W. During my last visit, the staff was friendly and the food was good. The employee came to my table and offered to refill my coffee and take my dishes away. A positive point compared to other fast food restaurants is that all the dishes are reusable instead of the all disposable we see at other restaurants.

In a word discusting!! Health department should be notified about this place. Gross. Go in a look around the dining room see if you still want to eat there before you go through the drive through. Asked to speak to manager about the state of the dining room, was told their was none. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT EAT HERE, if they are willing to let the customers see that in the dining room and are ok with it imagine what is happening in the kitchen. Also staff don't seem to care when I asked them about it. If this is the best you can offer shut it down, to the owner-go into a new business venture, you are not worthy of serving food to people.

I recently went to the A&W in charlottetown PEI . On December 2 at 2am ,and the person at window was very unfriendly I said hello and he looked at me like I wasn't even there,just closed the window and walked away. Then when he handed me my order I said thank you he just looked at me and closed the window, no thank you or you're welcome just shoved it out the window and walked away. I never ate my order I just threw it in the garbage, because anyone that is that unfriendly and is that ignorant and rude, I would not trust anything they handed me . Very poor customer service. I will not be spending another penny in that A&W until the company starts training and hiring better employees.

Had a really good experience at the Charlottetown location, it had been a while. Despite the new app failing me, the drive-thru order went smooth. Got the food and smoothie very quickly, everything was correct and tasty. Good job 👍

They take alot of time to prepare food and the taste was worst than the timing. Drive through always has line waiting for food.

The women working Cecille didn’t know how to treat with the customers. i was there with my friend for dine in and i asked for some ketchup and tissues and she literally just throwed towards me….Didn’t liked the way she treated..I will tell my friends never visit the store again….

Awful and rude staffs..... went to pick up and was ignored for more than 5min with them making loud jokes and laughing out loud ..... all of them in the kitchen and cashier were all Indians and instantly my perspective about Indians changed .... no apology tendered ..... awful staffs would never buy there again ....A&W can do better..... anyway food was good

Used to be my favourite but I believe they have new owners, no more soul out into the food. Fries have really been getting colder every time I go. I miss the way it used to be, best burgers in town. Very very expensive.

Great burgers as always, but our recent order of onion rings were TERRIBLE. At $5 a pop, I'd expect seasoning and for them to be cooked completely through.

I’ve always had a decent experience ordering from here, and I can't complain about the quality of their food much either. It is a little over-priced compared to other fast food joints, but A&W has a unique taste to it--a taste one can justify paying additional for--and only if it's freshly prepared. I enjoy the A&W burgers & drinks here, and this location does an OK job preparing and serving. This is definitely not the best location out there, though, and could use some improvements in the following departments: 1) customer service: could be improved. 2) consistency, freshness & quality of food prepared: could be improved.

Fast service and the best burger in town! Tasting like real, whole beef, with tasty added trimmings. Delicious root beer.

The fries were to DIE for last week, like literally the best fries at ANY FAST FOOD or even dine-in restaurant!! Keep up the amazing work A&W Chtown!! Also, chicken burger was delicious!!!

The food was probably good if we had received it hot. We used the delivery service, and it took 40 minutes to receive the food from when the delivery service delivered about 15 blocks from A&W. Just imagine what the fries looked and tasted like after 40 minutes in a paper bag! Terrible delivery service!!!

Burgers all always old and unseasoned. Same with onion rings. the last 3 times I’ve gone over the past 2 months. Just a disappointment considering the price

Update: They seem to have gotten better about this now, no loose lids since this review, so I'll update my rating. I do find the food is generally good (for fast food), the fries are usually hot and actually fill the container. Lid on my drink wasn't tight so I spilled it all over myself and my car seat (Not the first time the lids haven't been tight either), the guy in the window didn't even bat an eye, or apologize, like this was a common occurrence. The fries were cold like they'd been sitting out too long. Seems like the employees here might be getting complacent, though maybe they're not being paid enough to care, with inflation and all.

Nice renovated facility and friendly staff. Only critique is that they are too liberal with the seasoning salt. Onion rings too salty and the hamburgers also over seasoned with the seasoning salt. Have never had seasoning salt on my A&W burgers anywhere else in Canada. Strange…

I came on November 10 at 6:50 pm guy with a cap and glasses don’t have any decency how to talk to a customer the rest of the employees are good but that guy is awful and he doesn’t have any name tag unless i would have mentioned it

Good food and place overall, but it's lacking customer service. It's almost non-existent here. Would love for them to step it up a notch with customer service and professionalism.

Staff could be more friendly and attentive, felt like there was a huge rush to get me out of there even though there was no one behind me ordering.

One time they forgot to put gravy for my poutine for my doordash order, one time the spatula was missing… one time side dips were missing. The sandwich was alright.

It’s always good stuff what you get here,especially the buns for the burgers they’re great,not dry but good!

The Place is warmth but the area where the condiments are place is not good..they should know how to clean the area.

So they said they would be closed from Jan 8th to the 13th it is now Jan 14th and they r still closed I’m appalled as an avid a&w customer that they would lie and treat their customers and business in that sort that’s why I’m leaving a 1 star review I expect to hear an apology from management as well and if they take their business as half as serious of McDonald’s or Wendy’s they would give me a full meal deal next time I go if they’re even open

Food is great but their hours on Skipthedishes are very inconsistent. It’ll show that they’re open on Google but yet they’re closed on skip and this happens very randomly. When trying to call them nowadays, no one picks up even tho I’ve spoken with someone in the past.

The food was fine. They got a small part of the order wrong. I don't care about that. But you get to the counter, the cash attendant does her thing and ignores you for a few minutes while she does something, appears to be drive thru orders, i dont know. Wouldn't hurt to clean the urinal every now and then either. Makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is.
