A pretty new hotel. Integrated wood furniture, desk, drawers, cabinet, luggage bench, bed board, night table, mirror. Lights are beautifully selected. Convenient power plugs. Clean washrooms. Functional beverage nook. The common areas are elegantly designed. Good breakfast. The service was excellent.

Very clean and nice. We were put on the first floor and there were kids above us who jumped around for an hour straight. We called front desk to see if we could be moved and they were very understanding and kind. They moved us to the quiet section on the third floor and it’s been great ever since. Easy five star for the kindness of the staff and the comfort of the room.

we called to book to ask if we could book if not 21 if we had a credit card to put on file and we’re reassured that it was totally fine we would have no problems as long as their a card to be kept on file. We were booked for a king room and called prior offered an upgrade for a king suite and we happily accepted. When we got to hotel the room wasn’t ready yet, no problem we are from out of province and explored the town for a bit until getting the call it was ready, when we got back we were in line behind a lady putting up a huge fuss as she had booked a regular room and wanted to upgrade to a king suite but the staff had told her they had none left, eventually they caved in. When we checked in there was no problems about age and staff was kind and gave us room key which we assumed was for the king suite we had booked. We got to room for it to be a regular room and assumed it was a mistake and went back down to desk. We were told they had no other king suites or even rooms with king beds and then were told that since we were under 21 we should be lucky we’re allowed to stay in general and lectured about making sure to be on our best behaviour as if we are children. We didn’t get the room we booked nor quality customer service. We were also lied too when giving us the room key, they were just hoping we wouldn’t notice and I am sure they gave our room to the lady who made a stink. They discriminated us against our age, if the age was going to be a problem they should of stated at time of booking. I would not recommend this hotel as they are biased, rude and discriminate.

We found the customer service to be poor. The front desk staff were not helpful and would not listen upon check-in. They also ran out of breakfast and there was a lineup for food that lasted well over two hours. They seem to not understand or care that they were many people ready to eat. They were not prepared. We asked for towels for the pool and they never arrived. If you have a chance to stay at a comparable hotel elsewhere I would recommend it It’s relatively clean.

The good. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The dining area was very large. Lots of seating. The food was always available. Only one negative is for a family of 5 the room was small. However it was very clean. The gym and pool was also very clean. The laundry could use more than 2 washers and dryers for the amount of guests . The wait can be very long. If we were going back we would stay again. And would recommend.

Everyone at hotel was nice, but someone on the floor we were on was smoking weed and cigarettes until 3am. It was brutal, stunk up the hallway and our room. There is no way that the management couldn't determine who it was....

One of the worst hotel experiences ever. And no offense to the staff as they were all lovely people and their polite hospitality is the ONLY reason this review isn't 0 stars. Upfront, we got the king-size room with the jetted tub. Not a brag, just letting you know that this was meant to be one of the best rooms in the whole place. Wow. SO NOT WORTH IT. We went for 2 nights and it cost over $600 for those 2 nights, (and we're IHG rewards members and that price was actually the discounted member price!) and for all that, the biggest issues were the toilet and bed - which is kind of a big deal, right?! First, the toilet. My god. So low to the ground, so cheaply made, with a wonky toilet seat that, kid you not, slid around slightly when you went to wipe, which felt so awkward and kinda unsafe?... and to top it all off, the toilet paper was so cheap and rough, it actually irritated my skin... DOWN THERE. Now, whatever gender you might be, whatever “junk in your trunk”, you can appreciate that is NOT a spot you want to have irritated skin. It honestly ruined the trip because it made walking around and even sitting down or turning over in bed, a nightmare. Second, the bed. Creaking loudly, with pokey springs, and generally smelling faintly of urine... I could barely sleep in it, and I can famously sleep anywhere. The fake-leather upholstered headboard had greasy marks on it and given the material, the least they could have done was wipe it down between guests! I did wipe it myself, but for the price, I shouldn't have to! And frankly, having a bed and toilet that are in good working order, comfortable, and NOT gross, are the BARE MINIMUM for a hotel room, especially at this price. So already, as you can tell, NOT worth about $300/night. Here's a list a few more issues that really grossed me out or annoyed me about the place: 1. The pool has a ring of dirt around the inside at the waterline. Eww. 2. The hot tub is in the actual bedroom and gets water EVERYWHERE when you use it. 3. Said hot tub was actually dirty when we got there. Had to get staff to come clean it while we went out for dinner on our first night. I'm talking other people's hair and weird red markings in the tub. 4. One more thing about the hot tub: the edge of the tub is pretty tall and there's no steps or handrails. If we were older or we were less... agile?... this tub would have been a definite safety hazard. Heck, it WAS a safety hazard - I slipped/slid a few times trying to get out and if my husband wasn't there to grab onto, I might have gotten hurt. 5. The box of soap and the bottles of shampoo, etc... were ummm... crusty. There was like, brown crust on the bottles and bottom of the box. 6. Speaking of crust and strange red stains... The lampshades by the bed were stained. The wallpaper in the bathroom - stained. The chair in the corner, also. I know no hotel rooms are 100% clean, but combined with all the other gross-out items on this list, it just was the poop cherry on a poop sundae, you know? 7. No, wait. I'm wrong. The poop cherry was actually the fact that the facial tissue stank like urine (probably because they store the tissue box above the toilet) and I only found out when I went to blow my nose. Which as you can imagine is one of the nastiest feelings in the world. It's not all that close to downtown Charlottetown either, so it's not what I'd call a convenient location if you plan on visiting the provincial capital, nor is it close to attractions like Green Gables. We are IHG members – we’ve stayed at plenty of other locations in this chain, and we’ve never seen one as dirty or poorly maintained. I’m honestly considering calling their corporate line to complain, which is something I never do, and I almost NEVER write reviews, let alone poor ones, so please take my word for it. So, in conclusion: Save your money, go somewhere clean and actually comfortable. It's really not worth the price.

Would definitely stay here again! First time staying at a Holiday Inn Express since I was a kid and it was great! The service from ALL staff was wonderful, very helpful, polite, and welcoming. Additionally, any messages or inquiries I had prior to our stay were answered respectfully and quickly! The continental breakfast was delicious, lot’s of options, kept clean and stocked. Really appreciated the quality soaps/shampoos and quantity of towels/wash cloths left in the rooms. I felt comfortable in the rooms, cleaned well. There was a noise complaint (from another guest we over heard being discussed, we didn’t experience any issues) and from the sounds of it, it was handled very quickly and successfully. The location is okay, I’m sure there were hotels with more walkable attractions, but we had a car so it didn’t bother us and nothing was more than a 1-2 minute drive to the downtown area. Parking was free and there was plenty. There was a small indoor pool, not the cleanest and quite cold, but that was a bonus anyways.

We just stayed two nights here on a vaca trip to PEI, and thoroughly enjoyed the place. The free breakfast was very good, and the rooms are pretty nice. Clean. The staff that we engaged with were excellent. Not very close to downtown Charlottetown, but driving wand parking was easy. We would return to this place.

We had my daughters birthday at this hotel this weekend and the staff are beyond amazing ! They were from the very beginning to the very end (we check out tomorrow and I don’t doubt my feelings will change ) . We were able to use the breakfast room for pizza and cake , the pool was warm - the breakfast staff friendly , the front desk staff super accommodating to our needs. I will certainly always stay at this hotel if ever need be again . Zero complaints!!

The staff are excellent, very accommodating! I've never had such good service as I had at this hotel. the front desk staff and the staff working on the breakfast area, just awesome. Great breakfast too. The only thing that could have made it better, the room could have been cleaner but the beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice and up to date. We will be back for sure!

Excellent hotel to stay at. We stayed 3 nights and it was so nice. Every single member of the staff was friendly and welcoming. The pool was clean and we enjoyed our swim. The laundry room was nice and inexpensive and they sell laundry soap by the front desk. The breakfast was great and everyone loved the pancake maker. I would recommend staying here.

I don't know how old the location is, but the rooms seemed new and were nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable with great lighting in the bathroom. There are a lot of rooms at this location. From the street, it looked like 2 stories but has 3 levels. The staff were excellent and accommodating.

Friendly staffs , room size is good but a bit dated, not very clean, old towels. Breakfast is served, not bad. But portions not enough and long waiting for extra food to be cooked and served during one weekend. Hope not happening often.

We were greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. The room was in tip top shape. Amenities were all working during our stay. It had everything we needed. There are ample washrooms along the hall. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a delight, lots of food and drink to choose from.

Recently stayed here for two nights. While on my trip I stayed at the same hotel in 2 different cities and Charlottetown location was the nicest of the 3 (not that there were issues with the other locations really). The room and hotel were nice and very clean. The breakfast was good with lots of options and hotel staff were all great. Thank you for the great stay.

Love the accommodations, so kind to provide missing items and an extra cot for our additional family member. Fitness room and swimming pool were great amenities. The staff are super friendly and kind, even the other guests staying at the hotel were wonderful. Breakfast provided a wide variety of options amd nice dining area. The location is conveniently located very close to Cow's and other cute shops.

Excellent front desk staff. Clean room. We had a 3am checkout to catch a very early morning flight. What impressed us the most, when we requested a cab for 3am, the front desk staff offered us a breakfast in a bag. They had it ready for us to pickup at 230am. How awesome is that for customer service? 5 stars!
