My understanding of this square is limited as there's confusing reference points marking this location on Google Maps! I take it to primarily highlight the Dukes of Burgundy palace with its dominating tower of Philippe-le-Bon. However, it's a majestic location with the old palace, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon, half-timber façades, boutique shops, eateries and Église Notre Dame de Dijon, all within this space. Regardless of its boundaries, this is a magical place and one of the most frequented by locals and visitors alike.

Tiny but very nice park with fountain, many benches and museum bar. It was a life saver in 31°C temperature.

Really nice place to stay. It's hard to get a bench though. But you can lay on the grass.

Love it since always... autumn winter spring and summer...there is always a lot things to visit or just passing the route..

Main square of Dijon, lots of dining options, for every budget. What i really like is the fact, that prices are almost same in every part of the city.

Charming little park that offers grass and shade to relax in. The most important thing is there's also a water fountain to refill your bottle, it was even somewhat cold. Absolute lifesafer in the brutal summer heat.
