My
wife
and
I
booked
the
Valentine's
Day
meal,
which
was
£69
per
person,
plus
drinks.
Although
we
received
good
service
and
the
food
was
delicious,
the
meagre
portion
sizes
left
us
disappointed.
By
the
time
we
had
consumed
the
"snack",
starter
and
main,
we
were
considering
stopping
off
for
something
to
eat
on
the
way
home,
as
we
were
still
so
hungry!
The
beef
Wellington
was
advertised
as
"for
two
to
share"
which
implied
that
it
was
quite
substantial.
Instead,
it
was
served
as
two
tiny
individual
portions,
there
was
nothing
"to
share"
about
it.
It
wasn't
even
served
with
a
potato
dish,
with
the
explanation
that
"the
pastry
is
very
rich"
which
was
nonsense.
Annoyingly,
one
of
the
servings
was
significantly
smaller
than
the
other;
an
observation
which
my
wife
also
overhead
another
table
commenting
on
to
their
waitress.
The
dessert
was
the
only
course
that
was
reasonably
portioned.
As
the
other
courses
were
so
small,
we
got
through
everything
rather
quickly.
My
wife
had
visited
the
restaurant
previously
with
a
friend
and
had
a
lovely
meal,
so
wanted
to
share
the
experience
with
me.
Instead,
we
left
feeling
that
we
had
been
conned
and
won't
be
returning.
