I recently went to visit. Turns out it had turned into a sushi restaurant instead of the cafe I was used to. Turns out, it was an amazing experience and I am happy for it. They will keep some of the best dishes of the previous restaurant, but adding exquisite sushi. First off, the place is beautifully designed, and fits the Japanese garden theme very well for sushi. Secondly, I believe that this is by far the best sushi in Chiang Mai. Every fish is fresh, no frozen, straight from Japan. The quality is amazing, the flavors are amazing. I had the unique pleasure to meet the owner as well, who was incredibly kind and sweet. I was shown a VIP experience, and now can completely recommend this to anyone. When I eat sushi, it will be here. Everything is to the highest standards, from how they clean their restaurant and counters, the decor and design, quality of fish and ingredients, the chefs and staff. You will not be disappointed!

First review of the soon reopening Wild Garden in this location..! It looks extremely promising, the same as it was some years ago at the very popular cafe overlooking a forest and mountain stream. 💖 Will be back after the grand opening on 20 December.

Wonderful place with lots of attention to details and love in every piece. Attentive staff. Good coffee. Decent menu. Super natural green place. Good croissant. Fantastic coffee with orange juice cocktail (no alcohol). Make sure to try this drink!

Update. Note that they have moved location. We recently went back to the old place and it was shut down. The new location in town is just now open. It is still very good and to the same standards as before, but I have to question if they will be able to maintain their high price point given the move from a ‘destination’ restaurant to a place closer to the touristy area of town where there will be more walk in traffic. Time will tell. I have been meaning to try Tenyuu for some time. It was worth the wait. The decor is elegant but understated in true Japanese fashion, so you feel like you are in an authentic Japanese experience immediately. The food was excellent, some of the best Japanese food I have had outside Japan. They have some top end items here and you will pay for them, but it's worth it as a special treat. Highlights during our lunch included the Toro Roll and the Ebi Tempura Roll. We sat at the sushi bar to watch the chefs at work, but the outdoor seating is also nice. This is not a place for a 'quick and cheap bite', but it is a perfect place for a special occasion, high-quality, experience. This is one of the best high-end restaurants (of any cuisine) in Chiang Mai.

Beautiful restaurant located where Wild Coffee used to be. The food is pricey, but unfortunately the quality doesn't match the price. The sushi was decent, but nothing special and for this price you can find much better sushi in Chiang Mai. The pork katsu was over cooked and very dry.

Gorgeous environment, excellent food, great service. The gardens and infrastructure here are meticulously maintained, with lots of lush greenery and mist, many interesting little spots to eat hidden around on several levels. The inside of the restaurant has beautiful, massive wood furnishings, and outside are a huge variety of settings to enjoy your meal. It would be a great place for a long romantic dinner, or a quick lunch, or anything in between. The food was especially good, the piece of chicken in my Kau Soi was larger than any I've had, and the bowls and utensils are beautiful hand made ceramic. The pastries and desserts looked delicious, a perfect way to destroy my diet, so I passed on those... It's a little more expensive than lunch in town, but their water bill alone must be massive, not to mention that everything has to be driven up the hill a long way from town. Also, the gardens are really spectacular, no "dead spots," with lots of great pottery and fountains, orchids everywhere and many delightful surprises all in a forested mountain setting, none of which comes cheap. I found the service to be exceptional - they must have read earlier reviews and done some upgrading.

This place was recommended to us and was, more or less, on our way to our next destination. We stopped by for some refreshments (it was a hot day) and snacks. The space is super cute...they have indoor and outdoor (and a greenhouse with AC capabilities). The food was good and the drinks were great. Can't go wrong with anything you order and don't forget to take a bunch of pictures as well.

This place is incredible! I took so many photos, and the curry was yummy. Deserts, not so good sorry guys. What an awesome setting. Someone, the creator, is very very artistic.

Among the best japanese restaurant in Chiangmai. This restaurant meets my high standard with ease. Good taste, with fresh raw material import from foreign, nice environment, cleanness, price is a bit high but worth the cost. Very recommended for good experience in Japanese food. I give 5 star on Hamachi Ceviche and Fried Fish Salad, and 4.5 star on Various Sushi.

Not worth the price, there are plenty of high end sushi places in CM for 1/2 the price. Some of the sushi didn’t have any taste at all and didn’t taste even fresh such as the king crab. Speaking of king crab, they advertise 40% off king crab so 100 grams is 540 baht .. but what they don’t tell you is you need to buy atleast 2 kilos. Who buys 2 kilos at one time?? They have legs, why not sell me a leg? Anyways back to the sushi, definately could find better and cheaper elsewhere BUT you will not find a more beautiful restaurant many other places. The decor is stunning, nicest bathroom in a restaurant I’ve seen in many years. I would go again but I would be more selective in what I choose to eat as I know what is good and what is not fresh and overpriced.

Very nice place, excellent garden, the chef is very good. Best pasta I have had in Thailand so far. The price is just right for what you get.

So disappointed ☹️ A uncared building and gardens. The reviews show great promises but in reality very disappointed. We found the lack of cleaning made this a unpleasant visit. We had stagnated water in a bird bath next to our table. Mosquito Bath. We had coffee and scones. The scones were very dry. They are doing same maintenance in the front.

Quick visit for drinks and snack on a Monday afternoon. Extensive menu lots of fish, prawns, lobster, and crab. Japanese fine dining. Outside seating area facing woods and pond.

Tenyuu is an exquisite structure in a fabulous location. The Japanese architecture and layout is beautiful and peaceful, while the setting in the back is full of nature, including a mountain, a river, with a waterfall, and lush greenery. The tea and snack I had was delicious and the service was good. I’m so glad I came here!

It's very fresh and delicious. But little pricey . I am highly recommended if you don't care about price.

We tried wild healthy coffee and espresso and they were amazingly good. Brunch is good too. One of the best fish n chips in Chiang Mai. The atmosphere is cosy and chill. If you like nature, go there. The place is big too. Plenty of spaces to choose from. Definitely recommended! 👌🏽✔️

Another Chiang Mai paradise of a hidden venue at the foot of Doi Suthep. The venue gets 5 stars, but I didn’t eat there yet. The Americano coffee wasn’t great. Was hoping for a pour over, but the iced orange coffee was better. A stunning location to sit alone and read or write/work, with a stream at the bottom of the site in the gully. A definite must visit.
