We knew we’d found it when we heard Celine Dion belting, “All By Myself” from the end of the street. It’s a joyful box of campy energy, decorated with glitter balls and smoke machines all facing a stage of fully choreographed, lip-synched spectacle. Drinks were fairly priced. Crowd all smiles. A mix of mostly straight tourists admiring their own broad-mindedness and a smattering of gays. It was all over by midnight.

We were not sure what to expect and have found this fabulous bar by accidentally by pass. We have been there few nights in a row and always performed great shows and changing every night. Good mixture of crowds and all of performances are really worth to watch. Drink prices are not over charged as well. We will definitely return.

So happy to see get you see RAM bar open shows again before we left our few month stay in Chiang Mai. We had a great time. The manager helped reserve a table ahead so we had a great seat. The ladies were fun and it made me cry a little seeing live anything I was so happy. Highlight was the totally disinterested bar cat who took over a VIP seat like he owned the place. Amazing show. Call them and book in advance and sit as front as possible as the bar is full every night during show times (back seaters get a bad view). Show starts at 10:15 and is roughly a bit longer than an hour with a 20 minute break in the middle. There is no entry fee but the drinks are expensive to make up for it. After the show it's optional to tip the dancers but you should. They also go outside to pose for photos (they are free but you should tip). The general bar service is not amazing and they ask for money immediately. Also all guests have to buy a drink. The dances are very sensual and the dancers do mess around with the audience playfully (kisses, touching, hugs etc.). If you are shy don't sit in the front rows. Also obviously don't bring kids. The show itself is rehearsed dances and lip syncs. There are a few surprise Indian songs in there too. The sets and costumes are very good. This is a must do activity in Chiang Mai!

There's a cover charge of 150B if you don't purchase a drink. Lots of standing room but only a few tables for seating, so arrive half an hour early to get a seat.

After 9 months of self isolation I had my first night out at Ram Bar, and what a night! They have refurbished and introduced totally new décor, reduced the prices on all drinks, & launched delicious light Thai food on Wednesday-Saturday show nights. But the show was what really made my night. Stunning costumes, outstanding performances and brilliantly creative costumes like wearing lasers and illuminated outfits made this a totally outstanding show. And all in a relatively small bar under pandemic restrictions. Awesome. And all for no extra charge.
