We had a really great stay at the Chiang Mai Marriott. The hotel is really lovely and feels so luxurious. The location was great for the festivals. There are also several night markets nearby. Staff here are all so professional, friendly, and helpful. They warmly greet you, and each interaction is pleasant. Breakfast is solid, and the M club lounge options are also really good. The lounge had a 'drink of the day' that was always fun to try. The fruit served were delicious. The pool area is not overly large, but is nice and well maintained. The drinks at the pool bar were fantastic. The rooms are really nice and very clean. The view from our room was amazing, and I could watch the sun rise in the mornings. The bed was pretty comfortable. The hotel was not able to honor my upgrade request (using suite night awards), but they did provide a gift as compensation (choice of wine, beer, or points - I chose points). I would definitely recommend staying here if in Chiang Mai. (Stayed November 2023)

We were at this hotel at the end of January, 2024 for 4 nights. The hotel exceeded our expectation. It is at the great location, room was clean and spacious. They don't a lounge but the hotel set up a Club in the dinning area that we were served great food for the afternoon tea and dinner. The services were outstanding. We like to compliment Amonrada, Duty Manager, for her professional service ; Boyce and Cartoon, Concierge, for their help to print some documents for us: Jasmines, Club staff, for keeping my backpack that I left behind at the Club. People there were so nice and friendly. It made us so relax and we were really enjoying the experience there.

A modern yet comfortable hotel to stay in the city especially with family. It is located in the heart of the city, is very close to the Airport and walking distance to many food stalls and market. The hotel was undergone quite a major renovation involving the lobby area and the swimming pool which has to be closed. Not to worry, as you can still swim in other hotels and shuttle bus was provided. This renovation has been communicated with us prior to our arrival and allowed us to cancel the reservation if we would have wanted to. Excellent service. The room was nice with a light and modern vibe and mine was facing a mountain which is very beautiful in the morning. A plus point for me is there is a bidette in the toilet, however, it is not available in all rooms as my dad's and sister's room didn't have one. The breakfast was outstanding, the area is spacious and the selection is plenty including local and international menus and oh yes, they tasted deliciously wonderful.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say that I would definitely recommend it to others. The staff's courtesy and helpfulness truly stood out during our visit. One notable gesture was that the staff members consistently stood in the lobby, opening the door for every guest, which added a welcoming touch to our stay. What truly impressed us was the trustworthiness of the staff. During our honeymoon, my wife and I accidentally left our passports, money, and iPad in the safe after checking out and leaving the hotel. Realizing our mistake, we called the hotel right away. The staff, including the loss prevention officers (security), had already secured our belongings from the safe after our departure and ensured their safekeeping. I returned to the hotel to retrieve our items, and everything was intact. I'd like to give a huge shoutout to the entire staff, with special appreciation for the following individuals: Khim, Pea, Focus, Aek, and the unnamed loss prevention officer. Hotel management, if you are reading this, please consider recognizing and rewarding these exceptional staff members for their exceptional service. Despite the ongoing 24-hour renovations as the hotel rebrands to the Marriott, the staff made sure that guests were safely escorted and noise levels were kept to a minimum. This dedication to guest comfort deserves kudos. The room was impressively clean, with the only minor issue being a leaking shower head. However, this did not significantly impact our stay. We also enjoyed a delicious and fresh breakfast, and the staff consistently ensured that our requests were promptly met. In summary, our experience at this hotel was excellent, thanks to the outstanding staff. We will certainly be returning for another stay in the future.

We had the most amazing experience last time in January 2023, we missed the hotel staffs and amazing hotel room, decided to come again this summer. We came to Chiang Mai again, purely because of this hotel. The hotel lobby and some facilities are under construction, but we did not have any inconvenience or issue with it because we loved our hotel room and all the staffs at the hotel facilities such as gym, restaurant, and lobby made extra effort to make our stay so comfortable. The breakfast staffs know always what we like to drink and eat, and which table we like. The staffs in the lobby greeted us with impeccable services and smiles. We would like to give special thanks to the manager Focus and all the staffs in the lobby. We got the best room in Chiang Mai, the only problem is, we did not wanna get out of the hotel because we loved so much our room and wanted to always stay in the hotel ;) We tried also the massage and spa at the hotel. Please try the amazing therapists, Jiab and Katay, all of pains and stress in your mind and body will be gone with their skillful massage. The gym staff is also super friendly and helpful. The main manager paid so much attention to what I need. Cleaning ladies were also so friendly and cleaned our room so well, put a note with cute artwork. Everything in this hotel made us super emotionally touched and already miss you guys!

During June 2023, the hotel is undergoing renovations. However, the hotel staff go out of their way to accommodate all of the luxuries and benefits one has come to expect at this sort of property. (They will shuttle you to and from other 5-star hotel pools. A temp lounge has been set up on the second floor.) The staff are all very friendly and keen to get to know you and your needs on a personal level. I would gladly return, even before the renovations are complete.

We stayed 5 nights and booked room with lounge access. During booking process we exchanged a couple of emails with the reservation office. When arriving nothing was done. Next day we got an upgrade to a beautiful suite what made it off. The food offer in the lounge was rather a full board service, the biggest choice I've ever seen in an executive lounge. And it was good. But that was the restaurant not a lounge. The location of the hotel is very central. Overall we enjoyed to stay here but for 5* there were to many little things what didn't work well. 2 times the waiter forgot our drink order during breakfast, just the last day we were being told that for our room category is a second breakfast room on 2nd floor what is much more cosy. One day the coffee pack was not refilled in the room. The free flow of alcoholic drinks stopped at 8pm what is quite early. In the hotel information was stated that the gym is open 24h. But in reality it was closed 9pm - because of Corona - what redicilous reason. To finish this review positively, the staff was always very friendly and helpful and tried their best.

Very clean, clean room in all details. I'm very impressed and pleased with the cleanliness of the room. There are so much to write home about this place, great great food, especially the breakfast buffet. Superb quality of service. Reasonable price drinks. Central location. Highly courtesy staff. Picture here showing what is so cool about the room that I love, is the electrical outlet inside the in room safe box so you can lock your phone or laptop up inside the box and charging it too.

Just checked out from a 3 day stay in your fantastic hotel. I would rate it 5 stars in all respects. The room had a large window with an amazing view of Doi Suthep. The housekeeping was first rate. The breakfast was exceptional with a superb selection of Asian and Western food. All the staff were friendly, professional and hardworking. The pool boy was eager to help and worked continuously, often running from job to job. I will recommend your hotel to friends when they visit Chiang Mai.

We had a fantastic stay! Hotel is super clean and our room was spotless. The newly renovated M Lounge had amazing food, drinks, and service was above and beyond - we went each morning for breakfast and for evening cocktails. Location is super close to the Night Bazaar and a short walk to the old city. Highly recommend!

We stayed at a hotel in Chiang Mai for six nights in September 2023 and faced two problems: a booking error and a wrong delivery. We were helped by a staff member named “Jear Jear” who spoke Japanese, solved their issues, and made our stay enjoyable. We praise her service and professionalism, and recommended the hotel to others.

The hotel will be beautiful once it’s finished with construction. Everyone working here is wonderful and our room is well put together. The chemical smell from the construction is why I took a star off. Otherwise no complaints 5 stars.

Great 5 day stay at this location. Room was clean, spacious and updated. Staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good and the largest selection of food I’ve seen offered at happy hour during our travels. Though there were many places closed due to Covid, there was NO shortage of places to shop or eat within walking distance. If you’re into walking, there’s so much to see. Taxis are plentiful if you want to see many of the local attractions (temples, elephants, tigers, etc)

The hotel is currently upgrading some facilities, which didn’t impact our stay. Upon check-in we received a nice room upgrade. The club lounge is currently closed due to the refit, but a broad selection of food and beverages is served at an alternate restaurant throughout the day. We enjoyed the pool, which offers a magnificent view. Chiang Mai town center can be reached by foot in less than 10 minutes. Staff was extremely welcoming and assisted us with getting around and booking activities + tickets. Noon did a fab job and recommended an excellent cooking class, which was one of the highlights of our trip.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience during my stay at this hotel! From start to finish, everything was top-notch, and I can't wait to share my positive feedback with everyone. 1.) The location of the hotel couldn't be better. It's conveniently close to a popular tourist hotspot, making it easy to explore the city's attractions and soak in the local culture. 2.) The room was beautifully decorated and met the high standards I expect from Le Meridien under the Marriott brand. It was evident that they pay great attention to detail to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. 3.) Despite the ongoing renovations, the hotel managed to deliver a 5-star experience without any significant disruptions. Kudos to the management for maintaining the quality of service. 4.) The temporary lounge and gym setup were impressive. They were well-equipped and provided all the amenities I needed during my stay. 5.) The service was prompt and exceptional, truly embodying the Marriott Bonvoy experience. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I'm already looking forward to my next stay once the renovations are complete. Thank you for making my trip memorable and enjoyable!

Amazing hotel with exceptional customer service. Staff consistently go above and beyond. This is one of the best managed Marriott properties we have visited. Even though much of their facilities are under renovation, we did not feel inconvenienced during our stay.

The best place to stay in Chang Mai! The hospitality was phenomenal!! The selection at breakfast was great! Loved the room, so spacious and loved the view! It's also in the middle of several street markets. Easy walk to food and entertainment. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was very convenient and comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. We had a massage and it was was amazing. Aor and Jiab got all of the tension out of mine and my husband’s bodies. The housekeeping staff was super hospitable. They left us cute cards.

Amazing experience, location is central and next to a few night markets. I love all the Bonvoy brands hotels. This is yet another amazing experience. My flight is at 11pm, the hotel accommodated a very late check out at 8pm so I can take a shower before heading to the airport. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Highly highly recommend.

Hotel under renovation during our stay here. But the attentiveness of the team made up for it. Breakfast staff greet you with a smile and ask what drinks you would like. Front desk staff notice that we didn’t call for room service for two days, and when we return to the hotel (room 1724), recognized us and then called to ask if we need housekeeping to clean or bring anything. Forgot to ask for their names, I hope they get rewarded for their effort! Always a pleasure to experience Thai hospitality. Keep up the good work :) will definitely return.

My absolute favorite hotel in Chiang Mai. Stayed here three times now and it's always a pleasure. Very nice staff, the breakfast buffet is very big and has something for everyone, the rooms I've had has been spacious and extremely well maintained. The whole hotel is fresh and in perfect condition. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who comes to Chiang Mai.

Rooms are nice. We had a very nice view. One thing I don't like is that there is no privacy when you go to the toilet. There is a glass wall between the room and the bathroom. Why??? The hotel is under construction, and so many things are not available for use, but they are doing their best to accommodate everyone.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a room. This site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you definitely won't be disappointed. Wonderful stay. Professional and highly trained staff. Facilities second to none and food & drink were excellent. Can't wait to return.

A superb hotel in Chiang Mai. Excellent location right next to the Night Bazaar. Staff fantastic. Rooms very clean and quite spacious. Food first class. Difficult to find a fault.

Even with the renovations and added security because of the princess staying, the majority of the staff were so polite and accomodating that I barely felt inconvenienced at all. The only reason I'm docking a star is specifically for the white male staff who works and greets guests at the breakfast buffet area. He was incredibly rude and it goes without saying that I don't pay money to stay at a very nice hotel only to be talked down to and borderline shouted at by staff. You know it's incredibly unprofessional when his fellow coworker had to wait for him to leave before turning around to us and apologizing unprompted for his tone. Great experience and location, but make sure to teach your staff the basics of customer service aka not rudely yelling instructions at guests.

We recently spent five nights at the property in a king room on the club floor. We had a great time and we’re not inconvenienced at all by the renovation works. It would have been convenient to have the pool on premises but a free taxi to two of the near by properties was fine as well. The club lounge was being refurbished but there was a spread in the restaurant that you could help yourself in the afternoon and they put out the evening cocktails there as well. The food put out for the evening cocktails was one of the best we had recently. Huge amount of fruit, salads, snacks cooked food and deserts. It was pretty difficult to resists, especially the pizza. Housekeeping was also great, we had evening turndown every night, with the entire room being refreshed and water replenished. I’m really looking forward to visiting again when the renovations are completed.

Unfortunately I came while the hotel was under renovation but the staff was super helpful and gave options to use a couple of pools of nearby hotels instead. The breakfast is awesome. Boyce was a tremendous help in planning a walking tour for us, thank you so much!

Overall spectacular. The rooms are very nice except there are no outlets by the bed, so no instagraming while trying to fall asleep. Regardless, they are a nice size and well appointed. Great location right next to the night bazaar and close to everything. Easy walking distance to town. But the best part was the staff. Super friendly and helpful always making sure you are well taken care of. A huge shout out to Man, the concierge. Wow, he made my stay special. Helping with things to do and restaurant recommendations and great authentic conversation. He Welcomed me to Chiangmai and saw me off to my next destination. Highly recommended. The only downside was they are renovating so no pool but they offer accommodation to other hotels.

It's the best location you can have for night market and walking around. The hotel is clean, rooms clean and nice beds. Executive floor is closed, maybe for COVID-19, but they still offer you in exchange other things like hotel credits and still you can have your snacks on the hotel bar lobby.

  • 5/5 Hui Chyi C. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to stay. The staffs are very helpful and professional. The room is very comfortable and clean. The location is very strategic as well, just behind the Night Market and food stalls. In conclusion, highly recommended place to stay if you happened to visit Chiang Mai! ❤️

The hotel rooms were very nice and clean and in good condition. However, the check in process was way too long and our initial order for 3 beds in one room was ignored and we were even asked to pay extra for it. Only after the involvement of the travel agent (and after almost one hour!). Hotel's location is just perfect! We didn't have breakfast

My wife and I stayed at Le Meridien in Chiang Mai during our honeymoon and had such a wonderful time! The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with really wonderful service. The lounge bar is really great and has a very great 2 for 1 happy hour, and a very extensive menu. Room service is also very extensive and fast! The staff is all very kind and really helpful when trying to navigate the city. The hotel is centrally located, close to many shopping centers and restaurants. Would super recommend!

An outstanding stay. The experience started with a prompt acknowledgement of our booking with follow-ups till the date of arrival. We had an airport pickup and everything worked like clockwork. The efficiency of the team was very very visible. The hotel is old but has a quaint feel. It has a mountain view and a city view, the former is more scenic. Other facilities include a gym and a pool. The property is located in a tourist area so alternate options for local tours, laundry, vehicle rentals, money exchanges, etc. are within walking distance. Marriott loyalty members are acknowledged and accommodated to the extent possible. The lounge has a buffet style offering during happy hours as well as a near full day service with snacks and non-alchoholic beverages. The property also has a Merriott operated SPA where members can redeem their points.
