A really nice place to stay. The owners are really cool people. The rooms are clean and well looked after. There are mosquito nets and a shower and toilet in the room. My bed was a little bit hard and there was no air condition, just two fans instead. You can book tours here, use the scooters and bikes. All in all I had a really nice time there.

Loved this place and Big who runs the place is such an amazing guy! We stayed there a few nights then we left to go to Pai and when returning back we stayed there again! Great location not far from the night market(street food) and opposite the hostel was a bakery which was amazing for breakfast! The staff were so hospitable and great place to relax, the beds were comfy and the place was clean! They also rent bikes for a great so you can get around easy!

My partner and I had an amazing time to say the least, the dorms have good beds, amazing aircon. Max throughly checking in on you, best suggestions for all your needs. The food the family cooked is top notch, definitely get the pad kra pao

Max & co were top class in their accommodation of me and my 2 mates, so much so that we stayed on two occasions. From recommendations & discounts through to the friendliness and cleanliness of hostel, I would absolutely recommend.

I can’t express how lovely Max and his family are. So helpful and so friendly. Always happy to help and put a smile on your face. Beds are comfy and clean, and very near old town. I’ll miss everyone here, 100% worth your stay!

loved our stay here, pretty quiet but means we caught up on sleep, the people are amazing and helped us out with trips and minivans etc. the rooms were great, although we stayed in a 2 bed dorm so can't say much for the bigger dorms. it's in a great location about a 10 minute walk from a night market and across the road from local Thai restaurants with a great atmosphere. definitely recommend this place.

Such a lovely hostel, run by the family who are absolutely lovely and take every care to make sure you have a comfortable stay. And shout out to Max who gets the beer pong and fun times started - hero! Would definitely stay again ☺️

Cannot write enough about how great Big&O's is. Big and Max took phenomenal care of us; helped us find rides, got us good prices for activities, Big even had a moped dropped off to the hostel for me to rent, then had it picked up when I was done. These guys treat you like family, they hung out with us, taught us bits about Thai culture, they even came out to downtown Chiang Mai with us! Both Big and Max speak great english and are fun to chat with, and Big's mom who cooks and serves drinks is such a sweet woman. The food is delicious, the rooms are clean, and the environment is unbeatable. Just staying at this hostel was a highlight of my trip.

Super dope staff. Comfy beds. Holes in the wall that allowed you to look into the neighbor’s room were a little funky tho hahaha clean overall. The toilets were missing toilet paper at night. Pretty laid back and chilled, not busy.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in Asia! Max and Big are 2 truly legends and I enjoyed so much spending my time here! Highly recommend so stay here in Chiang Mai!

big&o's house 2 was my favourite hostel in Thailand. Never have I experienced such a genuine hospitality! Special thanks to Max for taking care of us the entire stay. This hostel is run by a family and when you there everyone makes you feel like you're part of their family:) so if you're ever in Chiang Mai that's the place to be!!

One of the nicest hostels we stayed in as Max made us feel like at home. He always checks on you and makes sure you are having the best experience. Has a good knowledge about tours and everything else in Chiang Mai so you can ask him anything. The location is not far from the gate and felt safe. Hostel was clean and people we stayed with were very considerate of others.

The owners make this hostel so good. They’re very friendly and give it a homey vibe.

Loved our stay at big and Os, max was great in sorting everything we needed for our time there, great recommendations and always around when you need him. All the staff were friendly and remembered us whenever we would walk by after our stay, if you need somewhere to stay once getting to Chiangmai would highly recommend!!

They served good coffee, THB35 for hot cappuccino.

Big is an incredible host. He is helpful on literally anything you need, and give great advice. The rooms were always super clean with both really good AC and a fan, as well as a nice bed.

Big is such a friendly owner and so kind, took a group of us to the sunday night markets and we had a great time. Always smiling and so helpful. The rooms are very clean and the cafe there is tasty and cheap too! Can’t wait to go back :)

We had an amazing stay at the house. Max and his family (the owners of the hostel) are so friendly and they welcome you with open arms. They help you to arrange tours, taxi’s and renting scooters. I would really recommend this place if you visit Chiang Mai!

Big is very friendly and helpful, and his family hostel is very well kept and clean, buut: The way the place is laid out doesn't allow for much social interaction, in other words there's not one bigger place for gathering but a few small ones, and that splits up the guests from one another. Another bad side is that business and family are under the same roof, so the limits are set as to the hostel's occasional party potential

The staff and Big and his family are wonderful people. The room I stayed in upstairs was a wee bit creepy-- but, it's a house. With walls that look like they might be hidden doorways for a killer to hop out and get you in your sleep... but, it didn't happen to me. So, I'm sure you'll be fine. Aside from the creepy factor, it's got great energy, and you will undoubtedly meet some great people during your stay.

Best hostel. Big (from Big & O partnership) provides everything you're looking for in a hostel. Unless you're looking for bumping music and a raging party. It's not just that everything is clear and easy, that towels are provided free, that everything's clean and the ac and fans are on good working order, that beer and water are sold super cheap. It's the truly hospitable environment that Big creates combined with his comprehensive connections to schedule pretty much whatever you want. He can rent you a motorbike, meet your laundry needs, book a car or bus, schedule a cooking class or an elephant sanctuary visit. The list goes on. We sould stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Big.

Out of all my travels, this hostel has a special place in my heart. This is the family home of Big's and they decided to rent out rooms to guests few years ago. The family is super friendly and it has that nice homey vibe. Big is very knowledgeable with all the activities around Chiang Mai and surrounding areas for both touristy and local things. There's a cafe, Big&O's Cafe, attached to the house so you can order drinks or food while you're chilling out. Thanks again Big, Paphun, Dad, Ilada, Sophia, Moss and everybody else! You guys made my stay in Chiang Mai very very special!

Relaxing hostel just a short walk away from the action in Chiang Mai, very pleased to have stayed here. Big is very knowledgeable and has great suggestions for activities around the town and Max is super kind and will make sure you have a good time. My only complaint is that the beds need to be replaced, in my room 2/3 beds were creeky enough that any movement in the night would wake the whole room. Overall, a pretty big inconvenience for me since I wake up and go to bed early. Would definitely recommend staying here, but be aware that moving around at night can cause a little disruption.

Very nice place to stay Location is great (right next to the city center, a street food place). You felt like being a little part of the family:) Everyone was very kind and especially the owner (big) was just awesome. He helped us, organized all our trips (with where so nice!) and did everything for us. And the Food was good too :) Thank you so much! Every time again :)
