Big market with all kinds of stuff to see. Riping market is small but good. The smoothie kiosk is delicious. The food mart is very good. Try the soup lady. She has two big clay pots of soup one beef and the other vegetarian. You get noodles and all kinds of condiments, very popular. They also have a vegetarian food to go shop, see my photos.update the vegetarian was only temporary. They do tend to charge higher for foreigners so walk away if you don't like the price.

Fresh market in a more local area of the city. We recommend checking this market out if you are looking for some local foods and interesting things to try. It’s definitely the best place to get sai oua, as well as copious amounts of crispy pork skin! Check out our channel for a full review of our experience: Hungry Two Travel.

Crowded and popular. We usually stop to buy farang groceries from Rimping. The covered marketplace is where you can buy fresh food and a whole lot more. This is the real McCoy Thai market. You won't see many farangs - but its nice spot for photos. Just make sure you purchase something first. Will add my pics later.

Convenient local market with a good selection of products as fruits, vegetables, local food, fresh meat, desserts. In the evening, outside the market put up tables and sell local food for good prices. My favourite place is table with Chinese rice with chick - khao man gai. Next to the market building is nice food court open from early morning till 5pm.

I stopped by here to get some shopping done and I also ate some food from one of the sellers inside the covered market. It was good food but later that night I realized that the vegetables were contaminated and I became very sick from a parasite. So just a reminder to be cautious about eating the washed lettuce/vegetables as a foreigner!! There are other food options there that are safe for you. But other than getting a stomach bug it is a good place to shop and buy local. There is also a Rimping within walking distance and Bank/ATMs around. If you need clean drinking water there are refilling stations there as well. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There are street food vendors spread around outside. You need to bring cash with you as most vendors do not take debit/credit. Enjoy!

Mae Hia Fresh Market is a great fresh market with a variety of shops surrounding the fresh food market. The fresh food market is great for locals and expats alike where you can buy fresh vegetables and meat from here for day to day cooking at cheap prices as well as some street food during the day and into the evening. There is some super markets in the shopping complex surrounding the markets as well for other household items. It’s a great goto if you are a local living in the area. See my YouTube the travelling social worker in Thailand for a video on these markets.

Go to for fruit and veg, also has rimping, 7/11, lotus etc. Thai food court in middle is great and there are many good food stalls around (Seoul easy for rice bowls, border run for burritos, and the Thai salad rolls stall are my favourite ones ever). All great prices. Clothes shops for children etc, more expensive sit in restaurants, key shops etc. Can do a lot in one place!

It's okay for a fresh market. Lots of ready to eat meals. All food is too sweet.

Small fresh market, good for experiencing the local food. Try the Northern Thai Sausages.

I've been using this market daily for the past 4 years. The food selection is great as they offer many Thai dishes and also a variety of European foods. If I had to recommend anything I would advise trying a burrito from border run and orange chicken from Kin Dee. The market also has a 711, tesco and rimping in throwing distance so you can get a variety of ingredients if you can't locate them in the market.

I arrived early knowing all thai markets open early and are busy... I was wrong. Many vendors were just rolling in around 7:30/8 am, many shops closed. Only spotted two fruit vendors, a few vegetables. There are good northern sausages- ready to eat. The food court has two places open- joke and drinks. Had a cheao iced cappuccino from one coffee vendor, it was terribly over roasted. Wasn't impressed at all with this market but maybe it picks up later? How odd. Ended up buying at Rimping. There's also a slightly bigger lotus (than usual).

If you want a real local delicious and authentic Northern Thai food then you must come to this market. The most famous foods stall here is grilled “Sai-Ua” which is northern style sausage.

It has pretty much everything you can think of. Thai food, fresh fruit and vegetables, small shops (7-11 and Tesco Lotus uncluded) and there is even a Rimping. I get all my vegetables and fruit here.

Nice local market in an updated western type setting. Walking here is easy because all the concrete was poured at one time. Very even terrain. The selections of food were very good, with some made fresh in front of you as you wait while some is premade and brought in. All organic the signs say, but I wouldn't know for sure. There is also clothes and Thailand gifts, all handmade I believe.

Extensive assortment of fresh food—both cooked and uncooked. Very clean, with vendors all masked and keeping the fly population to a minimum. Relatively easy parking.
