My experience would have been one of the most extraordinary in my life, however, despite enjoying the place, the friendly people, and those beautiful elephants, I was shocked and deeply disappointed when I saw what one of the boys did to one elephant. During the mud bath, one of the elephants, I think it was the youngest one, didn't want to lay down. So, the young guy, that keeps them, used something very sharp and hit the animal with it. The poor elephant made a horrible noise as if it was screaming in pain. It is disturbing even to write about it. I think it's about time to close places like this one. We should not be interacting with them like that. They are wild animals and should not be domesticated just to entertain us. They need a real sanctuary! I loved seeing the elephants, but I wish I had not been part of it. Because of US, tourists, they suffer cruelty. Please stop hurting those animals!

It´s was an amazing experience! Staff is very friendly and professional. Elephants look calm and well cared for. They were not forced to interact with us and their space has been respected the all time. The setting is very nice and the food very rich and abundant. There´s a waterfall where you can swim. Fully recommended!!

I really enjoyed my stay at this elephant sanctuary. It's good to see that they dont use the elephants only for touristic use. The elephants seem to have a good life there and get a great treatment. Also the staff is very friendly, our guide, pot, was a very cool and funny guy. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to know more about elephants and at the same time wants to do something good for those wonderful animals

I had the opportunity to visit Thong Elephant Sanctuary and had the most amazing experience. From feeding and playing with the elephants, to giving them a mud bath and then a bath in the river. Such a memorable experience. And the owners/workers of the sanctuary were so nice and welcoming and very informative. Lunch was amazing as well. We did the half day tour but I recommend just going for the full day option. There was so much more we could of seen but had to rush back to the airport. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing experience full of emotions. A place where the animals are treated as they deserve after the bad experiences of their past. The work of this association is important to spread awareness of exploitation and cruelty to animals which unfortunately is still an habit in all the countries of the world. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Such a great way to spend a morning or afternoon, learning about these wonderful creatures. We were collected from out hotel, given a talk about why the elephants were rescued. We fed, bathed and brushed then. The Sanctuary is well organised and the staff are fantastic. They have a great gift shop too. Well worth the money

Brought the tickets easily from the website. Had the best experience I will never forget. Definitely a must do in Koh Samui. Highly recommend. We were given lots of information on the elephants & their stories of what they were doing before they went to the sanctuary. It’s so nice to see them living a much nicer life.

The tour with the elephants was amazing, the guide was so funny and passed a lot of facts about elephants, we truly loved. But I had an issue with the transfer, even though my hotel was only 3 km far from the agency they told that they could not pick us up because it was too far, and offered a transfer for 1500 thb or that we could go by ourselves to the agency at 8am (we chose this option and paid 120 thb in a taxi) when we got there there, there wasn’t any transfer for us, apparently the van was already in the way, so we had to wait there for one hour and then one car took us to the van in a petrol station in the middle of the road. then on the van I was talking to the people and I found out that two couples was in a hotel 300 meters distant from mine and the van passed there to pick them up (and they paid nothing more). Later on, talking to some friends that was in Chiang Mai they told me that they did the exact same tour but they paid A LOT less than us. So we paid a very high value and yet they have refused to pass in my hotel. So, the time spent with the elephants is amazing I just do not agree that a lot of people in Thailand is trying to take money from tourists and I felt that this agency did this to us. So, make a good research before you close any tours here!

(Translated by Google) It has been a great experience. All the monitors the work they do, they see that they take great care of the elephants, they look happy with such care. I would do it a million times. I had a great time, fun too. They explain everything about the elephants, you prepare food, baths and brushes and they also give you a very delicious Thai meal. I recommend it 100%. I tried to do it somewhere else and it made me as sad as they were that I regretted it. Here it shows that they are rescued and live happily.

27 January 2020 my daughter and I have visite the Elephant Sanctuary of Ao Nang. It was such a great expiration we will never forget! Give eaten to the elephants, wash them with mud and later with water. The elephants were so kind and beautiful! You really see that they are happy! I had written some things before going such as how you can see that elephants are relaxed. I can say: they really are relaxed! We got so many photos of the people of the Sanctuary, great memories!! Thanks a lot!

(Translated by Google) One morning at the Koh Samui elephant sanctuary, it was great. You can see 4 elephant females there, all of them have been welcomed for treatment, and they are. We were able to spend time with them, feed them, cuddle them, wash them, brush them in the giant mud bath. It was nice to hug these big endearing critters. Here, no ballad on the back of elephants, we respect them and we take care of them. We were also treated to a nice little meal at the end. Very nice all that, and good atmosphere. I just wish it had lasted a little longer.

(Translated by Google) Great experience that to be able to pet these elephants saved from mistreatment, we were able to feed them, wash them while bathing next to them, a very emotional moment, followed by an excellent Thai meal in a beautiful environment, so happy to see them peaceful, no one ever climbs on them and tortures them, now they are pampered by the whole team and all of us, to do, to redo, it was great, thank you! ☺

(Translated by Google) Finally my dream of being close to the elephants and bathing with them was fulfilled. Perhaps my idea was naive that we would be few visitors. When we arrived, about 30 people were let loose on the elephants. Bathing was more about having the guests in the form of wet sprayers than doing something good for the elephants. The whole thing appeared to me as a commercial event and I was sobered. The animals also have far too little exercise. I care about the welfare of animals and I'm not so sure about that. I cannot imagine elephants enjoying a bath with screeching people. Otherwise everything was very well organized, we were well informed and everything went smoothly.

(Translated by Google) A very nice moment !! Feeding the elephants was great. I preferred to refrain from bathing with them because they defecate at the same time. Activities a little expensive all the same!

Was very exited about the tour and it was totally fascinating me. A great experience to recommend. The elephant seem to be happy and get a lot of food they need and have also a big are where they stay, when there are no tourists. They had a lot of fun during bathing in the river with us tourists. Thangs for this unforgetting day!

Elephants belong in the jungle. Free and wild without people forcing them to do things. Sanctuaries are good for healing and helping traumatized elephants find back their Joy.

I was hugely impressed with the care and concern with which the staff of the sanctuary treated their elephant inhabitants. Although I am a lifelong admirers of elephants, my love for them was supported by their surroundings, and the fact that these magnificent animals were finally being "repaid" for the many years of mistreatment they had suffere4d in the past. They are having a wonderful life thanks to the sanctuary!

Great place, great experience. But, to get to, from and around the sanctuary you need to be pretty mobile, it is steep walksto get around and if it is rainy it will get very slippery. But it is a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.

Visited this Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Koh Samui on 29th December 2019 and can honestly say they are doing such a great job. Unfortunately “animal tourism” is a big thing in Thailand and many animals including Elephants are poorly treated especially being used for people to ride on their backs. This sanctuary rescues these elephants, feeds them to maintain the right diet, gives medical care they require as well as land and the infrastructure needed for them to live comfortably. They are also trying really hard to educate visitors on their welfare program and the work they do for the elephants but also local communities!
