👍👍 Had my first MMA fight and represented core combat. Couldn't have asked for a better corner than Coach Sakan, Coach Jamie and Thibault. People often mention Core, Combat, visa, coaches, training, classes, friendly, Sakan, great, martial,

My partner and I looked high & low for a reputable place to get our education visa AND actually learn something! Core Combat exceeded our expectations in every way. The coaches are super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The class times are solid, the office staff are amazing in getting your visa paperwork handled and everyone speaks perfect English (very helpful for us who haven’t mastered the language yet 😆) We couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

Much cleaner and nicer learning environment than most strictly Muay Thai gyms. Approach, in my opinion is better, but more western kickboxing oriented. Higher focus on technique and better opportunities to pick up new things. Welcoming coaches who know their stuff. Would absolutely come back if I was in Chiang Mai over any kind of traditional Muay Thai gym, mainly due to the much better price and hygiene ( As I previously caught a nasty eye infection in one of them , after which I couldn’t open my right eye for 3 days).

In my view, quality of Core Combat is beyond this google rating I post. I've been visiting and observing this place because some of the closest people to me are part of the classes. Either as a kid or an adult, when you join this place, you won't only learn about how to do self defense but also many more. Discipline, mutual respect, integrity, humility, compassion, all the values I hold in my core and I think are critical in shaping our character as human being. Staff are also great. I believe that this place has an amazing future with amazing people inside. Keep it up!

From the day my lady and I began looking into Muay Thai gyms, Core Combat was without a doubt the most transparent and up front about what to expect in their classes, the costs, and the different options we had. The staff are super friendly and the students vary in degree of skill (But always friendly as well). Sakan and Jaime (The owners) create a family-like environment that makes you feel like you’re really part of the team. Thanks so much, CC, we’ll miss you!!

I had a great year with Core Combat. Classes with Kru Sakan and Kru Jamie and Kru Do are very good and very different in their own way. I ended up attending classes mostly on Thursday afternoon (lots of stretching with Kru Do) and Saturday morning (lots of exercise with Kru Jamie) and I'm very happy with classes and the ESD content I learned along the way. The year passed quickly and there is much more to learn, but if I'm ever unfortunate enough to need my ESD, then I'm sure I will be able to handle myself a lot better than I otherwise would have. ♥️🙏🙇‍♂️

The trainers are brilliant! We had our son attend a few other places that were teaching various forms of combat however this place was different. While there is a complete focus on discipline and learning the skills , trainers ensured that the kids have a lot of fun. A heartfelt thank you to the coaches for conducting sessions that encourage students to continue and love what they learn!

I applied for the Education Visa (Self-Defense) at Core Combat Chiang Mai. They are super friendly and helpful, the whole process went very smoothly and efficiently. Special thanks to Sakan and Jamie, both of them are great coach! They make me feel confident during the class! This is my first time experience of martial arts, I’ve learned a lot from the training session, I’m surprised that it brings me great benefits in my life, I’ll keep learning more from Core Combat. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. ^_^

Core Combat is a wonderful constant in our family’s life; something we look forward to on a daily basis. We appreciate the efforts of Sakan & Jamie facilitating the culture of continuous enjoyment and equally important, improvement. Our son adores the Core Combat Kids classes with his friends/teammates. His confidence, focus and dexterity have noticeably improved since starting earlier this year. Noting our son’s gains, my wife and I enrolled in the adult kick boxing fitness classes. Though each of us are at different levels of fitness and combative skills, we are both challenged to continuously strive for higher levels by our coaches and peers. And our passion has been fostered whether in person or online. A remarkable feat during these challenging times. It’s a testimony to Sakan & Jamie’s contagious drive and devotion to their profession. Thank you to the entire Core Combat Team. See you shortly for class.

Excellent school run by an even better staff! If you are looking for a hassle free way to get an education visa and don't want to go the language school route then Core Combat Chiang Mai is a fantastic option! Classes are fun, challenging, and give you invaluable knowledge that is always better to have and not need than the other way around! It has been an awesome experience participating in their program!

Awesome place to learn various martial arts and self defense. Friendly and helpful staff when it comes to martial art training and acquiring an ED visa. I’d definitely recommend this place whether it be taking their scheduled classes learning different styles or getting an ED visa.

Visa process: The visa office knows their craft. Absolutely hassle-free, they set up everything for you and tell you exactly what the next step will be. They were very responsive and helpful through DMs on facebook when I was still in my home country. This removed all of my anxiety of going into another country without any experience or knowledge. Classes: They take training very seriously. Even though their visa service is top-notch, I feel like the main purpose is definitely the training. The coaches are very experienced and highly passionate. The vibe in the classroom is awesome, the more experienced students are willing to help out newbies during training. So even if you are a complete newbie like me, that's not an issue. I initially planned on taking just the mandatory two Emergency Self Defense classes per week for the visa. But very quickly I took it to a total of 7 per week, also adding Filipino Martial Arts. Sometimes good things just happen in your life. Stumbling upon this organization clearly falls into this category for me.

Sakan is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. He was by far the best instructor for my kids that we’ve had on our trip. Will definitely go back next time we’re in Chiangmai

My experience at Core Combat has been nothing but encouraging, positive, and warm. Before I came to Chiang Mai, I had looked for schools that offer 1 year Edu Visas. I researched and spoke to several martial arts schools, but only one left a lasting impression; Core Combat. Jamie was very helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns. He and Sakan spoke honestly about their values of Core Combat, and they follow through with integrity and passion. I had only signed up for the Edu Visa, but ended up with so much more. I now train at CC 4 days a week though Edu Visa and FMA. All of the instructors, staff members, and students are absolutely wonderful. I can't speak highly enough about this school. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars!

I've contacted Core Combat (Chiang Mai) with several questions regarding updated informations on ED visa. And my impression so far has been nothing but GREAT. Person on the other end of the like has been very responsive and helpful. At this stage my trust towards this company is already established. So far they have my full recommendation and I hope I will be able to enter Thailand soon and enjoy my stay (while using Core Combat services).

I decide to put my son in the kikboxing classes because the pandemic, with no schools and no activities. He arrived at Core Combat full of energy and lack of attention. After just 2 months he had a great improvement in his level of attention and concentration. Coach is very professional and well equipped to teach kids. Parents are so friendly and supportive. Great decision I did in these last months!

Core Combat is the perfect place for anyone who wants to get into fighting! It does not matter whether you have tried it before or not! Core combat stands out from other combat gym since they go back to the fundamentals of fighting! Not only focusing on the physical training but also teaching about the mentality of a true warrior! In terms of the social aspect, you are always met with a smile when you come to a training session! Both from the staff, as well as the students! The trainers are very thorough in their craft and are very patient with their students. They do everything they can for you as an individual to develop personally!

I recommend Core Combat for anyone looking to train in martial arts. The coaches are very knowledgable in many areas from self defense to MMA and much more. The coaches speak Thai and english. Core Combat is very welcoming to beginners and foreigners. It is the perfect place to obtain your educational visa and it's very reasonably priced.

I completed the ESD course on the one year ED visa program. The coaches are world class and incorporate techniques from disciplines such as muay Thai, Kali, Silat and many others, so the classes are dynamic and never dull. The visa itself is very well organised, with the visa consultant preparing all the documents needed for the quarterly extension at immigration and making sure all documents are in order. Thanks guys for a great year in Chiangmai 🙏🏻

I recently had the pleasure of training at Core Combat Chiang Mai and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The gym offers a wide variety of martial arts courses, all of which are taught by highly skilled and knowledgeable instructors. I particularly appreciated the diversity of the classes, as it allowed me to try different techniques and styles, and gain a well-rounded understanding of the art of combat. The instructors were also very insightful, providing valuable tips and feedback that helped me to improve my skills. Overall, I highly recommend Core Combat Chiang Mai to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding training experience.

Have been training there for almost 2 years mainly for the MMA class. Great gym with amazing coaches who adapt to your level. Highly recommended if you're a beginner looking for martial arts other then Muay Thai.

Been training with Sakan on and off for several years. This year I have enrolled in the ED visa course and finding it all very well explained and the course material is all very useful from a self defence perspective. I also have many years of martial arts training and still enjoying the course as we’re covering a lot more content around awareness and what to do before, during and after the fight. If your looking to learn and want do study something other than Muay Thai, Core Combat is where it’s at!
