Hands down the most flavorful menu you can find in Chiang Mai city. Every ingredient is prepared with attention to quality. No MSG and yet so aromatic and tasty. You will NOT be disappointed! We especially enjoyed the Chicken and Beef Rendang, Dumpling Soup, Nasi Campur, (with interesting mix of ingredients at times), Mee Goreng, Tahu Goreng and looking forward to try the rest! Evenings are often packed as there are only few restaurants open till late in that area. Parking can be a challenge at those hours so we try to frequent during the day time. Some staff are new so please be a little patient with them, usually seniors who have hard time getting waitress jobs elsewhere. The air-conditioned room can sometimes be filled with very loud customers, so we retreat to the open air section if we encounter those. And below, I share their full menu! Fanny said she will constantly be changing and improving it over time. Stay tuned!!

Still amazing Indonesian food inside Chiang Mai land! I had the special Nasi Kuming for 95 baht (Rice, vegetables, sambal and fried chicken). You won‘t find those flavors elsewhere in Chiang Mai. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff. Good portions. Cooking was on point. But the flavor was just ok. Nothing great. The sauce for the gado gado was very sparse on the peanuts, very little peanut flavor, too much liquid (cream, milk or water, not sure). The banana leaf rice also had very little flavor. Overall not the classic indonesian taste we hoped for, it's more a local version of it.

As a Singaporean, I love Indonesian food. So I was delighted to find this place. We ordered Mie Goreng and Gado Gado. Both tasted good and the portion size was large. Prices are pocket friendly and the owner is friendly. We will be back.

So happy to have found amazing Indonesian food here in Chiang Mai! I grew up in Indonesia and was craving Indonesian food so I found this place on Google and the food here is super authentic and reasonably priced. The owner also is extremely friendly :)

The food is outstanding! A taste of Indonesia right here in Chiang Mai! We loved all the food, especially the beef rendang. The owner and staff are friendly and took good care of our orders.

This tiny family run restaurant and coffee bar offers great value tea, coffee and other drinks. It is offering Indo food in a clean and simple surrounding where the decor may be lacking but the food is excellent and lady who runs it creates the food and pampers her clientele. It is for anyone who loves food and enjoys a change from the normal Thai fare offered at an affordable price.

I had great vegan food at the new location of this restaurant and they were very helpful and accommodating in helping get just what I wanted even though I didn’t really know what I wanted.

Bakmi chicken noodles 🍜 is good and tasty, peppery with nice flavor. Nasi bakar is under burned (not bakar enough in our opinion, my so is Indonesian) but not bad. Grass jelly drink ok, chewy style.

Missing Indonesia food and this one is a perfect place. Near city centre, have Aircon room, with various menu. Just order the Nasi Goreng and it feels like home. Will come back for another bite !

Indonesian cuisine is not as well known as Thai or Indian although it utilizes plenty of spice similar to both. If you like spices as well as spicy, this is a place for you. Unlike Thai cooking sugar is not usually involved. My go-to dish here is the beef rendang rice set, followed by nasi bakar (savory grilled rice wrapped in banana leaves). Gado-gado is somewhat similar to Ketoprak as they're both vegetarian and topped with peanut sauce. I also have an affinity for vegan soy-based tofu and tempeh. Ask for more sambal on the side to elevate your spicy game. It's also a great dip for krupuk (crackers).

Was craving for some Indonesian food which is quite hard to find in Thailand, and found this one located within walking distance from Tha Pae gate. The place is run by this couple and the wife who’s also the chef comes from Indonesia. They offer huge selection of Indonesian dishes. Tried out 2 their Nasi Bakar with Sambal Udang, the taste was ok but slightly missing that chili kick. Ketoprak is just not that good. The peanut sauce is way too much & basically cover the whole dish. And unfortunately when I ate, the tofu was a bit bitter and hard. And it doesn’t have any ketupat. Also got their Tempe Mendoan, which looks a bit burnt and tasted bland. Need a bit of improvement here and there. But will give it another try as people are also recommending the rendang.

New finding in the old town and the only Indonesian restaurant in Chiang Mai. Very friendly lady who is also the owner of the restaurant. Fast service, wide selection of Indonesian cuisines and generous serving portion too. Highly recommended.

While we were walking inside the city to visit temples and pagodas, we saw this restaurant. It is not on the road around moat…so it is not noisy. Still it is not very far from main road and easy to access. After eating Thai food for every meal, we wanted to try different South East Asian food. Especially I like Tempeh and was happy to have Tempeh there. It is clean, service is very good. Staff are kind and offered me more Tempeh than Tofu. :) We ate there and had also take out.

This place is very conveniently located in the center of Chiang Mai. The food is affordable and the dishes are authentic same as you would eat in Indonesia. Being the only indonesian restaurant in Chiang Mai can definitely recommend them!

Authentic Indonesian eatery in Chiang Mai. Probably the only one at the moment. Fanny, the chef and owner, originally from Jakarta, is Chinese Indonesian and can speak Behasa, Mandarin, English and Thai. Look through the menu and you will see Indonesian staples like Gado Gado and Lontong and Nasi Goreng, but she also has other made-to-order dishes which you must order in advance because they require special preparation and she’s the only cook in the kitchen. Word of mouth has been spreading quickly about this Café and I came to taste the food, to much delight and satisfaction. This place has become a favorite eating spot for Indonesians, Malaysians and Singaporeans currently residing in Chiang Mai. I had the special this weekend. And it’s the first time I’ve had this Indonesian dish. And I’m eating it in Thailand. Bravo, chef Fanny! I’ve taken a photo of it. It’s Nasi Bakar Ayam Suwir.

I am not familiar with Indonesian food. The menu is surprisingly large and the food tasted amazing. The owner will cook the dishes at whatever spicey level you choose. Personally I prefer them over Thai food any day. What really surprised me is just how cheap all the dishes were. I just wished this place was open for dinner.

The owner could cook so many Indonesian dishes. We even stopped by twice and ordered some menus to go. Everything we ordered were good and quite satisfying for us who missed Indonesian food.
