Beautiful view, You can see the lights of Chiang Mai city. In the blooming season the view will be more beautiful. Some day, there will be fruits vegetables or handmade products from Hmong people (people who live on mountain) for sale. This place also close to other tourist attractions and Chiang Mai city. You can setup tent and travel around.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have visited anywhere in the world. The campground is well-maintained and well-designed. The view of Chiang Mai at night from your tent is awesome! This is a must-do thing if you are in Chiang Mai. Great experience.

If you're in Chiang Mai this is really very good place to camp and spend your time here far from the the city chaos. This campsite is well maintained and you'll get here all the necessary equipment for camping and you don't need to worry about that the prices are also very reasonable

One of the better camping areas. Wide and grassed camping spots. You can rent tent here or bring your own. The drive up is bit steep and curvey but if you go slow and use lower gear you will be fine. Honk a lot around the blind curves.

Iconic view of Chiang Mai with less Chinese crowd. You could access here by a motorcycle or local jeep. Camping is recommended. At the forest station they will provide you a tent, floor sheet, pillow. A bathrooms are good. There is one food shop with simple menu.

16.01.2023 - The flowers haven't fully bloomed yet at Khun Chang Chiang (~20%), at the Thai Horticultural Research (~15%) but it's bloomed at the Camping Grounds (~65%) This place can be accessed by car, pick-up or motorbike, the latter being recommended as the road is quite narrow, sometimes steep and always curvy. Many aren't using their horn properly to communicate between large vehicles (motorbikes shouldn't use their horn!!!) and a few a driving carelessly, dangerously. Here is a nice and well maintained campground where you can rent all the equipment to camp with an awesome view on Chiang Mai. There's a large parking area and basic food only is offered, like noodle soups. There are newly built bathrooms and camping spots with a view. Right now this is where the sakuras are the most bloomed on Doi Pui. There are also a lot of orchidaceas.

We didn't camp here overnight unfortunately, we just visited during the day. The campsite is absolutely pristine and the bathrooms were clean and very nice. We got lunch at the restaurant which was good and very well priced. The views were spectacular even for lunch! We hiked the bird watching trail and the nature walk. The viewpoint was cloudy, but still impressive. There were no tourists in sight - just the two of us and two local cyclists the whole day. I can't believe this isn't more popular. Such a hidden gem.

This place is beautiful and has so much potential as an excellent camping site. But no open fires allowed as far as camping goes and MUST BE QUIET after 10pm which is really hard if you're used to a camping style where you sit up all night with friends chatting about life and singing along to someone playing the guitar. It felt like an school camp with teachers sending you off to bed and shhhing you every 20 mins. So yah. Just be warned.

The place is very nice. Nice view on Chiang Mai. There could have some hot showers because cold in winter and without hot showers it's impossible to stay more than one or two nights.

The camping ground was really pretty but the cafe closed down, luckily we brought a small electric pot. Still, the only electric outlet was plugged with an empty fridge, and the cleaning lady went mental that we needed to use it. Without the cafe people will need to bring their own gas can. We could hang up hammocks for free though.

Lovely place, nice cool weather, good spot for camping. You can rent camping gear or bring your own. With Covid, best to register ahead of time.

Good for getaway from the city without too much effort. The trails is also easy to navigate and a lot of floras along the way. You can literally drive up without any camping gear and rent it at the office.

Worth to come to climb up to mountain peak 'Doi Pui' around 1600 m above sea level. The road is a little bit narrow so its suitable for motorcycle. In rainy season, professional drivers is needed, you can also grab the car in front of Wat Pra That Doi Suthep temple to the camp and Chang Kian village (Hmong village)

Great spot close to town. They rent tents, sleeping bags and mats, so you don’t need to bring much, but do bring food.

Quiet alpine camp, the cold at night makes people calm down. Of course, you must learn to protect yourself from colds. If you don’t understand the particularities of alpine camps, please contact me.

👍👍 Imagine standing at a small viewpoint and being able to see the entire village laid out before you. It's like having a bird's eye view of the whole community. Pretty amazing, right?
