I rented a motorbike for a week to ride on the Mae Hong Son loop with a friend. One of the things I can say about Zippy Motorbike Rental is their professionalism to provide service and excellent help to their customers. Because this trip was sort of spontaneous, Zippy didn't have any bikes available when I first inquired 2 days before the trip. But, just a little later after inquiring, I was contacted again by Zippy and they said they had bikes, they just needed new batteries and they would have some available. I visited the next day and there were 5-6 motorbikes parked and ready. We told the staff member, who was very nice and informative, that we would be doing the Mae Hong Son loop and I took his recommendation for the bike. My friend also upgraded his motorbike at the same time. We weren't able to take the motorbikes then because they needed new tags, but the staff member said it would be ready the next day in the afternoon. Next day comes, and true to his word, the motorbikes were ready for us to take in the afternoon. The renting procedure was quick and efficient and we were on the road within 10 minutes. I don't know how other motorbike renting places are and I will never know because, genuinely, with the great experience I had at Zippy I won't be going anywhere else in Chiang Mai. Rented Yamaha Aerox 155 for 3 days. Registration and Renting process is pretty smooth. No deposit required (subject to posting a review, which is a good strategy for promotion). Just need to bring the original passport for copying. Update after return: Loved the bike. I thought my previous ride (Honda PCX 150) in Phuket was great but Yamaha Aerox was much better for steep slopes. We did Doi Suthep, Doi Pui, Queen Sirikit gardens and Mon Jam. The Bike was in great condition with perfect brakes, so we felt very safe even though roads were pretty narrow and sharp curves with steep hairpin bends (few places). Will definitely recommend Zippy for anyone wanting to experience Chiangmai mountains on a motorbike.

I highly reccomend this place if you want to rent a high quality scooter from a reputable store. Everything was explained very thoroughly and I was able to try the bikes before choosing one I liked. Service was quick and friendly. I wanted to extend my weekly rental to a month and it was no problem at all. I couldn't fault Zippy Motorbikes in anyway. I will definately be a returning customer.

Overall. Pleasant experience. Zippy was thorough and walk you through with their condition when renting their bike, which is something not many rental does. They tested the bike before handing you the keys and the price was very reasonable.

This is THE BEST RENTING PLACE in all of Thailand. I’ve been coming to Thailand for about 10 years now. Never had a better experience. I can only recommend. The owner was very friendly, he told us about a discount we missed as other Thai rental shops would have ripped us off. Bike is great, everything worked perfect and The owner was very fast at responding to questions. Even gave us tips as to where to go around Chiang Mai. Absolutely amazing.

The service, staff and bikes are all great. When renting it they asked where I was going and then changed the tyres to make them more appropriate for the mountains. I renewed my contract for another week and they gave it a quick service (tightened brakes and added grease etc). The scooter was fairly priced and handled really well and was incredibly fuel efficient. Most importantly the brakes worked perfectly! They gave the bike a quick inspection when returning but they’re 100% not trying to catch you out or anything. Highly recommend this place

Met with the owner Jake and his assistant and they were extremely pleasant and hospitable. As a matter of fact, they stayed open an hour later to accommodate me. They answered all of my questions and offer a very fair rate for their bikes. They allowed me to test drive the bike around the block before agreeing to rent. The intake process was very smooth, I like that they allow you to input your own data into the computer(saves a lot of time vs having to tell them each field or having to fill out paper forms). So far, I am very pleased with Zippy Motorbike Rentals here in Chiang Mai and would recommend them for sure.

Brilliant scooter rental company! Had a Yamaha Aerox 155 for 7 days. Loads of grunt to get up the mountain roads! Fairly new bike and was lovely to ride. From the beginning to the end Zippy's have been great, easily contactable, they even dropped me back to my hotel at the end because it was raining! Massive thank you, will use again!

We hired 2 bikes (in perfect condition) and we only had them out for an hour or so but because I was too scared and didn’t feel safe in my scooter driving skills with the crazy traffic. Therefore we decided it was the best decision to take them back. They were super understanding and kind enough to give a full refund. I would like to thank you for this smooth experience! I would also recommend them to anyone not only for this fabulous customer service but the whole process was super professional!

Good place to rent a Motorbike in Chiang Mai. Rented a Yamaha Aerox 155 for 3 weeks, good handling and no major issues. After a few days, I noticed that something was off with the front brake. I brought the bike back to the shop, they confirmed that the brake pads were worn out and drove the bike to their mechanic and within 10min that was sorted, no headache 👍 When returning the bike, they did a standard inspection and I got my full deposit back. So yeah I can recommend this place. Prices are fair and the service is good.

We arrived at the shop without a reservation and were treated very well. He dropped off a bike that had just been returned, guided us to a great food place, which is quite famous, right next to the shop while he cleaned and tuned it up. He was VERY good, he definitely deserves 5 stars, we will be back!

Hired a gpx bike from them for 9 days at a very reasonable price, great communication from the owners if you get in contact via facebook. No hassle dropping the bike back off, the bike was basically brand new and in great condition. I would highly recommend this place!!

I just finished Mae Hong Son loop for 4 days. I appreciate it because I only paid for 3 days, even rented 4 days. It’s ferfect service. The staffs can spoke good English. The bike was really good. But there are only automatic. But that doesn’t matter. Hight recommendation.

I rented a Honda Click 125 for 12 days to discover Chiang Mai and surrounding provinces. The scooter was in perfect condition and never had a problem. The staff are nice and helpful. I got a clear explanation about the procedure and about the scooter. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to rent a motorbike. It's definitely a great way to explore the beautiful nature of northern Thailand.

spot on service and great staff. I spent a heap of time checking bike shops out in Chiang Mai and found a lot of problems with the bikes, some could have catastrophic consequences. I rolled up to zippy, Checked the mechanics of the bike and it was bang on. Brilliant service, well maintained bikes lovely friendly staff, we did unfortunately get a flat tire but this was no fault of the company and they was super helpful and offered to bring us a new bike or cover the cost if we could get it to a mechanic. Luckily for us there was one near by who fitted a new tire and which zippy covered as promised. Highly recommend. Also only photocopy of passport and 2000 deposit required which is always a positive.

We rented two bikes from here, ladies were really nice to give us clean and prepared bikes for our one week ride through chang mai loop. We had one bike 125cc and 155cc. They served us really well through this loop. Really recommend this place 🙌

Great service and easy rental process. I enquired about 2 bikes the day before arriving in Chiang Mai. Zippy were fast to confirm they would reserve 1 Yamaha and 1 Honda. This made the process stress free and very friendly staff to deal with.

I rented a motorbike while in Chiang Mai with zippy motorbike rentals. It was a great experience the motorbike handled really well and the customer service reps were great with explaining everything I needed to know about the bike. I had a cellphone mount I needed installed and a mechanic two doors down from the shop was able to put it on for only 20 baht. Overall a great experience and I would rent from them again. The prices are awesome here as well.
