Don't be fooled by the up-market exterior. Very poor restaurant that at first appears a bit 'up-market'. Good location beside the river on the outskirts of Chiang Rai. Six of us had a meal there before setting out for Chiang Mai. What a mistake! Overpriced for what we got and we all agreed the meals were below average. Three of us had chicken meals, and the chicken was full of gristle. Whether we spoke in English or Thai, the staff just stood there grinning and were quite hopeless. Service was slow. Towards the end of our meal a lady with good English came over and introduced herself as the manager, and asked if everything was OK. When we said 'No' she explained that most of the staff were new and inexperienced. What a pathetic excuse - a good restaurant would not use such staff until they were trained. Not recommended at all.

I will have to say something what our experience to dinning here last night. Excellent traditional Thai cuisine from appetizers, soups, main courses , to dessert, each tasting different and delicious amount our over ten different dishes, the price is very reasonable and the services are on top of all. Our story continues to this morning, we will have to come back to find one of our backpack may lost here during the last night dinner, we wake up the security guard and store manager at 8:30am and found our backpack. We did not delay our trip back to Chiang Mai. What a dinning experience plus lost and found. Great business model for all your customers!

Astounding riverside view we’re fortunate enough to witness during our family dinner. Thank God they joined government’s domestic travel promotion project a.k.a เราเที่ยวด้วยกัน 😉. On the first day of our trip, we’re rejected to get in because there were no vacant tables left. So, we gave it the second attempt the day after, and of course, we’re successful. The local hors d’oeuvre tasted just good, except the fact that, in my opinion, Sai Oua (northern thai sausage) at Chivit Thama Da was easily the champion. Seabass tom yum also became one of our favorites.

Went here for dinner twice in a row because the nearby Lu Lam restaurant was insanely busy and closed at 20.00 for some reason. The nicest dishes we had were the grilled prawns, barbecued pork neck, morning glory, ant deep-fried squid. The steamed squid was a bit dissapointing, as on the picture it seems laid out on a plate, but once served it was dumped in a bowl of soup. Service is available quite quickly, and the manager interacts with customers in a funny way. They also had live music, which was fairly enjoyable. Especially on the 1st day they had good artists. Later in the evening, the music becomes more boisterous and bar-like. as more people are drinking. Would recommend the place to spend an enjoyable evening next to the river.

Great Thai restaurant situated next to a river! They got many options available. We kinda picked or foods based on the pictures and they did not disappoint. The morning glory vegetable was authentic and the fried catfish with papaya salad sauce was delicious. The glass noodles wrapped in omelette eggs were tasty too. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was quite calming and cozy. It's worth visiting after going to all the tourist places in Chiang Rai and you want to travel back to Chiang Mai.

Very disappointed in this restaurant and will never go again. Mostly because they treated me like a farang (westerner) tourist and served me junk meat. I speak Thai and that didn’t matter and to be polite I’m not going to make a fuss over a bad meal. This is the 1st time having lived in Thailand for over 4 years now where I was served only scraps in my squid 🦑 order as an entrée. Literally only the end pieces, no rings, no quality meat whatsoever not even the tasty tails; pieces only, see photos. Tasted like rubber. The Drinks too for my partner were bland and lacking any flavor, basically water. My parter did enjoyed her Snakehead fish plate. Otherwise cannot recommend to non-Thai customers. Many tourist were there from large bus groups and it was apparent that was their target group, not locals.

This was a really cool experience. I am still unsure what was on top of the pineapple fried rice but I know a few things, 1 It was something I have never had before, 2. It was some pig organ, 3. It was good, I would eat it again. 4. Pretty sure this is what turned soften the solids

among the 2 best Thai restaurants during my 6 days (and counting) in Thailand. We ordered 5 dishes and they were all great. nice river view and a great duo on stage. only one B- rating for the green mango dessert as the mango was a little stringy... perhaps our fault for ordering out of season.

Restaurant is located next to the kuey river which divided Myanmar and laos. When we arrived the river was calm but within abt 10mins of our arrival we were caught in a hugh storm. Tables and chairs were blown everywhere and it takes awhile for it to subside but a very scary one. We were all shaken of course. Finally we get to order our dinner but food was a letdown. Lol, we were wandering if the mood of the chef was also affected by the storm

Great service but the food was very expensive for the quality you get. You could get much nicer food for less than half the price at a smaller local restaurant. However the staff were extremely attentive and the setting is lovely.

Nice restaurant along the river. Very pleasant at night. The food is good and the service is correct. To be noted, they didn't have draft beer on our night. There is live music starting at 19:00. Nice place for a diner with friends.

This restaurant is located along the Kok River, good atmosphere especially at night. There is live music on Friday, Saturday, many kinds of Thai food. Good taste There are alcoholic drinks and beers. Good service staff, affordable prices

Great view on the river. Nice restaurant, the food is very good and the service is very good. I wish they would have had some of the local Chiang Rai spicy sausage. There is a floating restaurant just beyond this place worth looking into.
