Monday was a public holiday so closed again. Finally it was open and the microwave was left for service. 2 days later was told the replacement part would be ordered from Bangkok. The printed service receipt shows no contact number to reach the service centre, but after 15 days with no contact we called the number on their Google Maps entry for an update. They told us the part had not yet been received but they would check and call back. A further day later I am waiting to hear if the part will ever arrive. Guess why I won't buy LG in future! Samsung Service Centre is open 24/7.

Went to LG service centre yesterday with an LG Blu-ray player that wouldn't play some DVD's. Shop was empty and I was immediately seen and sat down. Explained the problem and a technician was summoned and fixed it in minutes. I was given a cold drink and they happily demonstrated the player with 3 different DVD's I brought with me - all were now working fine. I'd forgotten to being the handset with me but no problem they produced a handful of handsets and found one that worked. At the end of it all there no charge at all! I can't praise them enough and recommend them highly to anyone who needs service or sales of LG equipment in Chiangmai.

For mobile devices not purchased at the store, there is an automatic 1750 THB charge. Additionally, to fix my cracked LG phone screen, it was going to be a total of 6767 THB that includes the screen, labor and non-store purchased price. When I inquired if they had phones for sale, the clerk said no. They also don't take credit card. Unhelpful, a waste of time, and it seems they fix all other LG appliances more so than phones.
