Prompted to write this review as it is something like 80 degrees outside and currently about 90 in here. I have mixed feelings about this gym. Positives: - very affordable - good equipment selection including free-weights, guided weight machines and ample cardio machines - steam room (heh) - the guy with the beard at the front desk is very nice - parking - Cleaning staff are pretty thorough and very kind - Classes included in membership - Not crowded ever really Negatives: - Why is it so hot in here all the time? If it’s going to stay this way, get rid of the steam room. You don’t need it. - The mirrors. Why is there only a small area with full length mirror? The studio doesn’t even have mirrors! If you are a serious lifter, this place is awful for minding your form because there is legit only one place with a mirror. - Kids Klub looks sketch as heck. I wouldn’t put my kid there - There’s a personal trainer guy here that teaches terrible form and routine. Someone is going to get injured. I’ve been here over a year now and I haven’t seen any of his clients grow in their fitness. Stay away.

This place is a great, no frills gym. It's cheap, clean, and convenient for anyone in the Pilsen area. If you're looking for a lot of amenities (lots of classes, pool, sauna, 24/7, etc.), this isn't the place. If you need a variety of equipment and nobody bothering you, this is it! There are squat racks, two deadlift areas, and lots of dumb bells. There's even a studio for anything you'd want to do. The new ownership has done a number of upgrades and she keeps getting new equipment in. I suspect it'll keep improving. I only wish they opened earlier on weekdays. I start work at 7am, and they open at 6am. 😔

I hate to be this person and leave reviews, but I’m incredibly disappointed. I have called on two separate occasions, in which I was placed on hold for more than 10 min. I called to cancel my membership, (for COVID reasons) and the first time the customer service rep was dry, rude and became flustered when she “couldn’t find me in the system”. I’ve worked customer service for many years and understand the frustration of a work load, people and perhaps being understaffed. I decided I would call back another day or visit. I’ve been charged since late summer, without going to the gym and decided to call again. When I called again and stated I wanted to cancel, I was placed on hold for 13 min. No apology, no thanks for holding. Over it, safe to say I won’t be going back even if we go back to “normal”.

The owner is very disrespectful, at first she seem like a good person but turned out that she’s very rude. I had to cancel my prescription because of personal issues and also found something much closer to my place and cheaper and I called to tell her I have to cancel my subscription and she asked me why and I gave her those reasons and everything went well. Next thing I know I get charged the next month and I’m like what the hell? I called her and told her what’s up and she told me I never called her to cancel but will cancel it now, and I was like wow am I the crazy one or what? She literally hung up the phone on me after telling me she’s gonna cancel now. Why would I forget to cancel something that I don’t use especially during this harsh time, never ever again going to that place. By the way I disputed that transaction to my bank so either way I’m getting my money back but she gets what she deserves which is a star, I wish 0 star. I was never treated like this in my life.

When I went in to check out the prices, it was: Single: $140 one time fee, $40 per month Couple: $170 one time fee, $70 per month Honestly this seems a bit expensive (especially the up front) so I’m going to check out other options. It is in a really nice location, though, and seems clean/accessible.

Despite all the negative reviews, I decided to go into this gym and see for myself since it's right around the corner from my place. The owner welcomed me so warmly. She told me she had taken over and is trying to redo the entire gym. She showed me around, told me her plans and goals, and I can see the improvements from week to week. She is there every single day from open to close, she's a hard worker, and you can tell she cares about the gym. I would cut her some slack if something negative happens because she is doing a ton of work mostly by herself. I don't mind the sign-up fee, because I am more than happy to help fund all the work she has put into making this gym better. Besides, $35 for a monthly membership in the city is very inexpensive. I am not a serious weightlifter or gym-goer, so this gym is perfect for my needs. And to my eyes it's beautifully well done! Every time I go, the owner always greets me with a smile, we chit chat for a bit, and she makes the experience an even more positive one! I don't know anything about this gym prior to this summer, so I can't speak to the differences from before 'til now, but I will say that I have had a great experience thus far.

This gym is amazing! It's a woman own gym and the culture because of it I think is great. The gym itself is super clean, there's a lot of free weights and every machine you need, including cardio machines. Everyone here is super respectful and kind too! I love coming here!!

The new owner is great and this gym has a wide selection of equipment, especially free weights, for a very reasonable price. There is a signup fee and annual fee that was explained to me when I toured the gym, but even adding those in the price is very reasonable.

The lady is very rude and unprofessional. She must be about to go bankrupt because they charge randomly. Do not get a membership here, the manager lady is a SCAMMER. Sad to see in pilsen. I signed up in December which was 100 dollars and three months later I get another random “annual fee” that was never mentioned in the one on one meeting we had discussing the contract terms. Ridiculous, she is a SCAMMER steer clear. Oh yes and dont forget about the 5 dollar fee to remove your credit card. Lol these people are thirsty for money.

Greatest gym in Pilsen hands down. Been to several in the area and none compare. Ownership and staff is friendly and welcoming. Recently added tons of new equipment and revamped the entire weight floor. Price is amazing for the equipment. If you’re looking to exercise in a comfortable, inviting and stocked gym, this is your place.

There's some cool equipment here, good sense of community with kind owners. The equipment stays out of order for months and takes up space in a pretty small gym. The men's locker room is currently some shelves in the gym lobby right next to the front door. I have been waiting for the men's steam room to be fixed for about 2 years now. Billing structure is poorly explained and rushed during the signup process

The $20 day pass was an excellent choice. Called around to a few gyms, inevitably went to this one as it was close to hotel. Will definitely be back every time I’m in Chicago. Also the coffee shop down the street is Heckin’ cool. Good gym. Good coffee. Good times amirite?

I've seen this place go through some huge changes over the past few months. All of which are good. They've changed the name to "Pilsen's Gym", added lots of new equipment and been extremely strict with how they manage covid-19. Cleanliness is a big factor here. This is the only gym I've been to where you get your own individual cleaning spray bottle and towel to wipe off equipment when you're done using it. They also have members of staff walking around to make sure people are masked properly. I went to L.A. Fitness not too long ago and they are still having their guests use communal spray bottles. So even though this is a smaller independently run gym, its cleaner than the major gyms in Chicago. I also love the fact that this is female owned. Been coming here for a year now and they keep getting better. Thank you!

Awesome gym! Super affordable, all the equipment I need, clean, and a friendly owner! Best part is that people actually pick up after themselves here - they don't just leave weights laying around all over the place. The new owner took over about a year ago and she's doing a great job updating all the equipment and making progress.

This is a great gym in Pilsen. Everything is kept clean and the owner is doing a lot of renovations. There are plenty of machines/free weights. Would definitely recommend!

Great gym with a great community. The gym is well equipped and everyone put their weights away!

Been coming for a while and it has been improving the last few months. New owners have been renovating the place slowly but so far have replaced old equipment, fixed the AC, added mirrors and painted. Not a gimmicky gym, just a space for you to work on yourself.

Great, no frills gym. Has everything you need for weights and cardio (plenty of machines, bench’s, racks, and free weights) and they also offer exercise classes that I’ve heard are pretty nice! It’s very clean, with a great atmosphere and the other gym-goers are very accommodating (can cycle-in a set with anyone, share equipment, etc). Great monthly price as well. There’s some parking in front as well too if you need to drive to get here. Definitely give this place a look

Great equipment for the free-weight minded gym goers out there who need a real workout. Plenty of benches, squat racks etc. friendly staff too.

We came into town to visit family and decided to go workout at the gym they belong to. The owner was incredibly nice in letting us use the facilities on a daily membership pass, and the gym had everything we needed and more. Would definitely recommend.

If it's close by stop looking and go here. It's run by very few brilliant women so don't be surprised that it has limited hours compared to chain 24/7 gigantic corporations. What it lacks in this regard it makes up for in service and attention to detail. The owner has diligently improved every component of her business, and continues to develop it further (and takes customer suggestions seriously). I basically only continue to live in Chicago because I love this gym and it's atmosphere. It's rustic but well kept, isn't crowded in the mornings, and is run by someone who genuinely cares about your wellbeing. I have never been treated with anything less than a smile. I don't know what else you could ask for in a gym, except maybe a belt squat (please :D ).

I absolutely loved this gym during my time living in Pilsen. Always very clean and never super busy like most of the big chain places. Also the clientele actually know how to rerack their weights and not monopolize equipment. (I’m looking at you Esporta). The owner Lati is an absolute gem, so kind and made the gym feel like a community. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, so go support a local small business owner :)

This is the best place to workout in Pilsen. Lots of great cardio equipment. It’s clean, has renovated locker rooms and the staff is friendly. Excellent weightlifting equipment as well. Power racks, deadlift platforms, new cable machines and awesome plate loaded leg equipment. Imo it’s the best gym for the price in Pilsen.

I love everything about Pilsen Gym! Non stop cleaning of the gym and equipment, welcoming. Not to mention it just keeps getting better and better. New equipment. WOMAN OWNED, and she is very sweet, will take her time out and have conversations with you. As a Pilsen resident it’s super convenient and a 6 min walk from home. This is the first gym that I have been coming to consistently and excited to belong to, everyone I encounter is super nice.

This is hands down the best gym in the neighborhood 10/10. Equipment is all very new, super clean, and it’s never too busy. Letty is awesome and really makes this gym a welcoming place.

Very bad, terrible, a month ago I canceled my membership, I had already stopped going for two months but they kept charging me because I had not canceled it yet. I still had to pay to be able to cancel it and a month passed when I had already canceled it and they charged me 75 dollars again, I went to complain and they only returned 40 and they didn't return it in full. I was going to complain again but it's not worth it, how ugly They rob you like that so I don't recommend this place
