I’m gonna be brutally honest here. Great pies, both savory and sweet. Don’t expect to get any great selection if you come late, that’s on you for waiting around. If you wanna have good pies, you gotta pay the price. They’re not easy to make and they can’t just crank out a million of everything. Every pie I’ve had has been excellent. Super rich. Okay, now the negatives, IMO. Look, I know it’s super woke Evanston, but I don’t need to be hit with passive aggressive messaging on t shirts for sale right when I walk in. I wanna tell them I’m Jewish (I am) just so they don’t think I’m just a typical cis white dude. Also, if I’m tipping on a slice of pie I order at the counter, pick up at the counter, and I still have to go find a fork, I’m wondering why I’m tipping at all. Then, there are signs everywhere asking to put your dishes away on the way out. I mean, I have no problem with any of that, just don’t grovel for digital tips and offer NO service. It’s so unbecoming and unwelcoming. Which is not inclusive, it’s triggering and really hurts my feelings more than the extra dollar I graciously dropped for nothing. I respect all, regards of their race, gender, sexual preference, personal beliefs, etc. Just don’t have to lecture others on how to behave and present a condescending and patronizing vibe. But the pies are really good. Worth the annoyance, and hey, if you’re woke, you won’t care about any of that anyhow. Am I wrong?

Ok, if you are in Chicago this has to be a must !!! Even if you don't like pie 😁😆 This was just the most delicious surprise I have found lately. Tried the banana cream pie and I wish I had ordered more than one slice 😋... also the breakfast biscuits are just dreamy, the most delicately fluffy eggs ever 😍. Everything made with lots of love and care you can tell with every bite... and the nice friendly smiles from the team are just the cherry on top ☺️👍👍 amazing job! 👏

This place has such a cute retro feel like being in your Mom's kitchen growing up. Nostalgic decor and that home cooking feeling. The biscuit sandwich was covered in melty cheese and a fluffy egg patty and the Nutella mocha was not too sweet and hit the spot. Being an out of towner it was cool to sit outside and see the train go by across the street but still feel like you're in the suburbs. 10/10 recommend

amazing pies - ranging from sweet to savory that rotate daily / weekly. i get the chicken pot pie frequently and it is fantastic. delicious sandwiches and beverages too. staff is always very friendly, and they are very open about what ingredients they put in their dishes. vibes inside are solid and they have a cute patio out front too. parking is easy as well. i absolutely love this place.

The staff is soooooo amazing! I unfortunately didn’t ask their names but the cashier is a lovely person and offered us free pastries today since we got there just around closing. Even the one very savvy barista— shoutout to you, the coffee station was down and the lovely person that makes coffee still served us— we asked for iced mocha which unfortunately could not be made but they offered to make us mocha with a twist I guess. Also I love your guitar pick earrings!!!!! P.s if both of y’all see this— thank you for being so amazing. I really hope the management treats y’all amazingly well SINCE Y’ALL DESERVE IT! Food is always great! An additional 5 stars for customer service and the staff! ❤️

Both the sweet and savory pies are amazing. Lots of good meatless options for lunch including very fresh salads. There is very little that cannot be improved by pie, and theirs are top rate. The atmosphere is retro and fun.

Great coffee shop in Evanston. They share space with Hoosier Mama pie company and you can't miss with them. Great for breakfast or lunch. Also, while the weather last they have a great patio. Great place to work too with plenty of sitting areas.

I was really really pleasantly surprised by the food here! Both sweet and savory foods are very good; all the baked goods are truly treats and none were too dense or doughy. Can’t wait to be back!
