I do miss the good old days when this place was open 24 hours, but it still manages to be one of the only late night food options in Evanston regardless. Late night drive through service is always on point and they make a point to double check the order. Honestly don’t know what I would do without the trusty Oakton steak and shake

Ordered via DoorDash, had a missing burger. They constantly mess up our orders (second time I have ordered). And they would not answer their phone (called more than three times). Do not order from this location as they have incompetent staff.

Great burgers. Lots of toppings. The people are friendly and helpful. No vegan alternative meat is offered. This vegan ordered a medium sized fries. It is good and filling. Most of the dipping sauces contain dairy. The ketchup is vegan. Plenty of free parking on an ADA compatible lot.

Juicy and tasty double steak burgers. Shoestring fries and self-serve drinks. Convenient drive thru.

Now all self service from placing your order to getting your drinks. Once your order is ready they call your name and you have to pick it up. Maybe five customers at the time I was there.

The food was good but as always it takes forever for the shakes and the atmosphere is not the same without the waitstaff. The dining area needed to be cleaned. On a Friday night only 3 people in the dining room at 8pm. I know they're trying to save on labor but they have to do better

Horrible experience. I went through the drive thru to order some milkshakes. Simple orders if you ask me…but obviously not to the girl taking the order. Started ordering and instead of the girl suggesting or clarify my order she laughs and gets the manager to proceed to tell me how to order. I continue to order and all I get is laughing from both the manager and the girl taking the order. What kind of customer service is that!? The manager shouldn’t be the manager if she’s laughing at customers like that and that employee should consider working elsewhere where she doesn’t have to take care of customers. Laugh on your own time not on people’s time specially if they’re giving you business.

I miss having a real menu, and a server, and real dishes. That's part of what always made SnS special. Now it just feels like any other depressing fast food place. Food is still good. And the remaining staff left making the burgers and shakes were still friendly. Probably won't be back to dine in. Too sad for me.

Had A Wonderful Experience Here At SteaknShake Today The Cook Bruce Was So Helpful to Us In The Front & Brittany was so kind brought our food to us with a smile shortly after she brought us our shakes which taste so good I’ve never had one like that from here before. The Team They Have There Now Is Spot On Great Job Guys!!!!

Great old style burgers. Nice customer service and clean facilities! Fries are a little too thin for my taste but good overall.

I had my first and only visit here today for lunch cause I wanted to go to salvation army store across the street . Check out my review of it. If you're really hungry, get the double burger, cause the single is not filling enough! luckily I'm dieting so it was fine , it was good just a flat patty. You don't have to deal with a cashier with attitude cause you have no choice but to order from kiosk even using cash. The place was clean and quiet.

This location is so good the burgers are delicious the people that work there are extremely nice and helpful specially the evening crew. I love this location I can’t recommend it enough. I really like the whole waiter less thing now too it’s awesome.

A great place for a fun lunch. All the vegetables in the burger is so fresh, the drinks are plenty including ice water, the milks shakes are phenomenal and the fries are not overly salty. The price is the best! The works are lovely, friendly and kind.
