This tapas bar is full of the local. Surprisingly it has the menu in English! It’s fun to stand at the bar and eat like the local. The waiter was kind and nice. Roasted Pork (on baguette) and Seasoned Tomato(seasoned with olive oil, garlic, salt, vinegar, pepper and dried herbs) were simple dishes but absolute must-try. Would love to go back again!

Oh wow - absolute wow. A little hidden gem that I found about on some random website turned out to be such a good spot! Tucked in a tiny street, this spot serves up nice tapas and, best part, their roasted ham. Oily and herby goodness! The service is also nice - don't expect any English here, but take it in good fun as an adventure! The place is full with locals and is so popular they opened a sister location called Avila II (I'm not joking) literally 500 m down the street.

Food is lovely and the staff are very nice, the food is a little on the expensive side though.

Great tapas food. Economic and crowded. I didn't get wine sausage but other than that were amazing.

This bar is pretty popular, you can tell from the long queue outside it but it moves pretty fast, especially later in the night. We had a vermut and a wine alongside their complimentary tapas (one per drink), a roasted ham and a fried fish. Everything was good.

The very best and absolutely most popular tapas bar in Granada - in our opinion. Long queue but absolutely worth the wait

Loved eating here! The staff were very friendly even though my Spanish was awful, and the food was delicious. We got to choose the free tapas with our drinks and also ordered the jamon asado and another tapas. A great meal for €17, will definitely go back.

Clearly a go-to local spot in Granada on a busy wednesday night. The Patatas Bravas and Chicken dishes were so good! While Jamon asado was too salty, I would 100% recommend Bar Avila if in Granada.

Sooooo good and friendly, food tastes home made, asado pork sandwich is unbelievably generous as a free tapa and very tasty🥰 We didn’t know that you could choose the tapa. The lady tried to tells us, in English, but still we were not sure ☺️No problem! We enjoyed what she brought all the same!

Bar Avila is super popular. I came here twice during my 5 day trip in Granada and it was always so crowded when I went. You will most likely have to wait to be seated, but you can grab a drink from the bar and a free tapa while you wait. The first tapa they serve here is Jamon Asado which basically roasted pork with bread and olives. It is possibly the best thing I've eaten so far on my 3 week trip in Spain. It is so good, that we decided to order half plate. I felt like I was lifted to the heavens every bite I took. It's so good, I came back again just for the Jamon Asado. The bolognese fries was good too. The stuff is super busy but they seemed nice. Bar Avila is a must just for the Jamon Asado

Very friendly service, good atmosphere! The food was delicios, reasonably priced and portions were quite generous, especially when we got extra tapas for free. The place was full, so had to wait few minutes for a table, but even during the busy lunch hour, service was fast and friendly - we were leaving as very happy, well treated customers.

Great food and tapas. With a drink, I think beer or wine you get a tapas that is quite big. Is always full, just leave your name and wait 15 minutes max

It's just the best bar there is. We come every year to this bar. It never gets old. The hustle and bustle to this place makes you feel like one of them. It's where family and friends close the day. And the best is the jamon asado. I mean the best. I love the staff. They stay friendly, at the busiest time.

Great experience! Great tapas bar! Ordered two drinks, had two tapas! Try jamon asado! Very crowded and louded, eating while standing.

Delicious food. They asked us what we wanted for tapas for the drinks. Had the squid, black pudding, tripe with chickpeas and pigs trotters and they were all delicious. Thank you ❤️

Genuine Spanish tapas experience. Menu in English though! Portions are large so easy to over order. Delicious food. Worth the walk out of the main tourist area. Friendly and fun. Waiter will find you a table, we had to stand and wait 5 minutes.

Excellent tapas. Friendly staff. Not a tourist trap. Definitely worth visiting. Roast pork is lovely.

No frills bar: rather big tapas which results that the bar can get quite busy and noisy. Known for their tapa of "jamón asado" (a kind of baked ham) and "paparrones'" (french fries with bolognese sauce) The waiters have a weird sense of humour, which I love but I do understand that not everybody is amused with it.

Traditional, excellent! Ask for jamon asado (roasted ham) and enjoy it with some beer!

Friendly and helpful staff. Tapas were good and their meals huge! Pork cheek was good although I wasn’t a fan of the meatballs. Best tapas bar I visited in Granada.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but excellent vibe inside with delicious tapas with your drinks! A must-visit on your Granada tapas list!

Authentic place. If you find an authentic place for tapas and beer, you find it. 🙂. No english languages but.... that's the charm!

Friendly staff. The bartender can understand my English. You can chose your tapas when you order a cup of alcohol or soft drink. Reasonable price. The tapas is tasty and the portion of it is huge.

Super tapas place. Not a scam for tourists. I highly suggest to take the jamón asado.

Very delicious food, fast service. The waiter took some time to get it that i am not totally fluent in spanish but eventually we managed to understand each others. Also very affordable prices!!!

Best tapas bar in Granada. You can order a glass of gazpacho and they give you a free tapa. You can have a lunch just with that! Cerdo asado is very nice. You have to go there with time, it's a bit tiny place and might not have too much space available. Only inside.

Omg that pork. Seriously this is the best food we have had in Granada. Just wow. Just get the pork. Seriously. It's one of the best dishes I've ever had. Tomatoes are also just wonderful. Croquettes and chorizo lovely. Was slightly disappointed by the squid but everything else was just incredible.

Ordered through glovo. Very well-packed and perfect temperature. The grilled “jamon” was delicious! It had olive oil and some herbs which made it unique. Loved the fried shrimp as well, tasty and the batter was great. The baguette was also fresh and tasty. Definitely a great place to have some traditional Spanish dishes.
