Cafe Fútbol is an institution and a must-visit during your stay in Granada. The cafe turns 101 years old this year and it isn't hard to understand how they've stayed so successful over the last century: their churros con chocolate are top notch and a perfect start to any morning (or a perfect topping to any afternoon). But don't sleep on their cafe con leche either, it's really good. The inside of the place is really nice and reminds me of an early 20th century NYC diner. Make sure to check it out before you go enjoy enjoy your churros in the outside seating.

wonderful cafe! we had breakfast here and it was quite busy. the freshly squeezed orange juice was really good. the churros were delicious and not greasy. there is also indoor seating inside the cafe and the servers were very friendly! we also ordered the basque cheesecake for takeaway and it was really rich and creamy.

My family and I are visiting Granada from San Francisco, CA and we just happened upon this gem of a restaurant. The tables are arranged outdoors in a cute square with misters that spray out a number of times a minute to keep you cool. Our server was Moha and he was extremely friendly and helped us choose some great desserts, which is what we started with since we didn’t know they served tapas. The churros con chocolate were divine! The chocolate was thick and churros were the best we’ve had yet. And OMG, the cheesecake really took me by surprise. I’m so accustomed to American cheesecake made from cream cheese but not these. No idea what they use but it’s light, airy and a milder flavor with the cheese they use. Perfection! (I had to take one to go) Then we discovered they had tapas and had those second. The pizzas were crispy and balanced well and the highlight was the battered fish. I’ve never had a batter on fish (which reminded me of fried calamari in look only)taste so divine. What do they use I the batter to make it so spongy and crispy all at the same time?!? We had other food but I just don’t want to take up all the space I’d need to describe it. Just go and say hi to Moha for us.

A lovely cafe. Churros dipped in chocolate tastes so delicious! Also enjoyed ice cream and cappuccino there. Very affordable compared to the prices in US. Will visit again next time in Granada.

The hot chocolate was so thick and not too sweet. Churros were freshly fried, delicious and not too greasy. This is one portion so you get a lot for what you pay!

Great scrambled eggs with crispy bacon, pretty average bocadillos and a tasty coffee and fresh orange juice for a surprisingly affordable price when bought as a menu. Cozy outdoor tent seating with heaters on in December.

A hidden find for great churros and a wonderful local ambiance! Do ask for the summer special which comes with churros, hot chocolate and their special home made ice cream that really did make the dessert so much better! The service was also so wonderful. I spoke to the owner who shared that this is a 102 year old family business, exactly still at the same spot. She also shared about how their name came about, and gave us a sample of their other ice cream flavour to try!

Everything was great until a gentleman start smoking inside the cafe. His seat is by the window, so not sure the rule is. But it ruined the otherwise wonderful experience.

Well known, popular! The churro were airy and went really well with the chocolate. I would have preferred a bit darker chocolate, but these were delicious regardless!

Best churros in Spain! I’ve been all around the country and their churros con chocolate are second to none. Everything is handmade on the premises. Family-run business staffed by wonderful people. Whenever we’re in Granada, we make it a point to stop by.

This place is only a few minutes walk from Hotel Macia Plaza. Be careful while walking as the streets are narrow and there are a lot of mini buses, cars and motorcycles. We tried the churros, hot chocolate and crepe with chocolate ice cream, whipped cream and nutella drizzle. We paid a total of around 19 euros for 2 people. It was my first time to eat churros and dip it in hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was not really meant for drinking (unlike what I'm used to). It's thick and not too sweet which complements the churros really well. The size and "heaviness" of the crepe is already good for 2 people.

The food and drinks were good, however the service was lacking. In total we had 3 waiters that tended to our table. The first one who took the order seemed to be unaware of the paella menu for 2 people. Initially we told him we need a bit more time to decide, however then he wasn’t coming to take our order anymore. After the paella finally arrived, we didn’t have plates or cutlery. The second waiter who had brought the paella said he would bring both, but no sign of him for over 5 minutes, so my boyfriend went to get the plates & cutlery himself. The last waiter who brought us the coffee and bill was friendly and responsive. Overall I would not repeat the experience.

Great place to stop and have a nice breakfast. People like to go there so it's little bit busy, so you can wait a little but the staff is trying so hard to be quick as possible:)! We had yummy fresh orange juices, apple pie, wafle (gofry) with nuttela and of course churros con chocolate. Churros were maybe too oily, but that's just personal preference. The chocolate, in which you can dip churros, was absolutely delicious and dense! Aslo they have here good prices.

Very disappointed. Read lots of reviews about superior churros but they were really not very good at all. They tasted like the oil needed changing and the chocolate sauce was insipid and bland and runny. Service was also shocking and the waiters looked like they were all arguing with each other which didn't help things!! Find somewhere else.

The churros and hot chocolate was the best ever!! It was a cold evening in Granada so it was perfect to warm you up. The cafe was not busy so we were served quite quickly by a friendly waiter. I would go back to this cafe to order hot chocolate and churros daily if possible.

The most delicious churros we’ve ever had! Classic transitional Spanish desserts beautifully hand made with fresh ingredients. They also make the best hot chocolates!! The owner was absolutely amazing, very nice and super friendly. She gave wonderful places for us to visit during our trip, which we can’t wait to see! Highly recommend :))

100 y.o. cafe that preserved the tradition of serving churros with thick chocolate. Churros are good and not very greasy. The portion is big enough for two and can be shared. Better come before 10am because after 10 the place is quite crowded and you will have to wait for a waiter and then for your order.

This place is really nice, especially sitting outside & enjoying a little more out of the café. However, here’s my breakdown among the following; • Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The quality could have been better because my bacon seemed to be a bit too cold • Attentive waiters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The waiters are pretty well, however my waiter specifically wasn’t super attentive to people coming in & I waited almost 15 minutes before I finally got their attention. In addition, there were people that got served before me that came after I did 👎 • Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Tables were sanitized & the general area was almost perfect! Again, attention is required to better handle the area! In general, it was a good experience that would need a few corrections! I completely understand that there are times where the service may be super busy, so for those reading this, take my review in whatever format/benefit is best convenient for you! As an aside, please enjoy the local cafés! 💕😁

Delicious desserts at affordable prices anytime of day. It can get busy, so you have put in effort to get the waiters' attention. They have plenty of tables and seats outside. What's annoying is that there are so many customers smoking, and it's hard to avoid it. They should have a non-smoking area.

Best churros in town maybe in Spain. I tried on Malaga and Sevilla but they are not good as cafe futbol. It was super fresh and it is very local place. They have a outside option. Service was friendly.

Bad service, delicious churros. Disgusting service. Ordered choco and churros inside, showed camarero the table outside where I am sitting. Waited for 10 min. Later came to him, asked for my choco again. He said that in this restaurant it's impossible to order inside. Only outside. ( By the way there were 5 people at the time drinking hot chocolotae by the bar ). I asked him if these are oficial cafe policies and why are they so different from all the other cafes in the world, or his own. He said that's the cafe's policy. I waited for 5 more min, before he brought me the choco. When he brought it, he Started arguing with me again. Camarero - Soufian.

Really tasty churros and hot chocolate. Compared to most places, you can see that they are homemade and way less oily than usual. Would highly recommend!
