Located near South Muthalamada, it is one of the best weekend getaways for family and friends. Such a beautiful place refreshes your mind and heart. The mountains behind the reservoir are amazing. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter the reservoir. The fog in the mountains is a very pleasant experience

One ofntheost attracting Dams in Palakkad. The walking area for pedestrians in this dam is T-shaped. The scenery is so lovely... Not only the Dam, but at the end of pedestrian area, you can have shore of the Lake, where you can relax....perfectly relax. One of the best dam you should visit

You can enter the protected area to get close to the water body. It’s nice and peaceful. I don’t think swimming is recommended. There is very little tree cover at the water body so it can get really hot really soon. It was summer and the water level was quite low.

Chulliyar dam is located in Palakkad District

Stunning view especially in rainy season..

Chulliyar dam view point is a nice place to visit, far away from maddening cities. It lies 3 km east from Muthalamada grama panchayat office on Kollengode Pollachi Highway. Entry to dam is restricted and can be accessed through a dirt track in the reservoir. The view is excellent and only few people visit there, hence peaceful. The reservoir is bordered by mango farms. Good place for visit for families also.
