It has a “family restaurant” vibe so not great for a date, but the food and service clearly stand out. As others have said, the baked pork buns steal the show, but everything was lovingly made and had that pro, handmade, non-frozen deliciousness (the congee was also 😚🤌). Expect to pay around ¥2000 per person for a filling, varied lunch. It probably won’t change your world, but it’s the kind of place I would like to go to weekly if I lived within 20 minutes.

The line was pretty long but we got our seat after a 30 min wait which wasn’t too bad. Wide variety of food, service was quick. There wasn’t any soy sauce by default on the table to dip our spring rolls and other food in but realised we should have asked for it. The shu mai and turnip cakes were good. Spring rolls were crispy and steamed veggies were decent as well. The draft beer was really good but didn’t know what brand it was. Nothing else entirely special taste wise but can definitely satisfy your craving for Hong Kong/Taiwanese/Chinese food!

I’ve been to their NY brunch pretty often so I decided to try the one in NY. However this place got very long line all the time so I took it to go. The food was great but the cashier had really hard to time understanding very simple order and very difficult to communicate. Maybe I just went there in bad timing but that is only reason for one star less. The food was great, and I might even say better than NY location. If u want few quick bites then take-out and eat it in the park near by might be good option.

Right next to the other Godzilla is award winning dim sum restaurant Tim Ho Wan. Apparently its hard to get a table without long queues, so I decided to go earlier. Some of us who haven't been home since the pandemic started, were craving for comfort food. For me all I needed was chee cheong fan, the rest were bonus.

Recommended by the Sensei we met . Healthy and Mouth Watering foods near Hibiya Midtown. A must try for delicate food hunters there..

We've been to Tim Ho Wan around the world, but this was the first time in Tokyo (between Hibya and Ginza). Lives up to a high standard for a basic set of dim sum / yum cha dishes, with their own unique take on classic dishes such as pork buns or cha siu bao. I would wish for a slightly broader range of dishes, and maybe they have them if you ask. We were very afraid of the queues (no reservations possible) so we turned up at 10am for Sunday brunch. We did not have to worry. At 9:58 there was a queue of about 20 people who were all promptly seated at 10. By 11am there was a short queue that had to wait maybe half an hour max. I guess around midday it could get crazy. Prices are quite moderate. I think they tend to overdo their Michelin star story though. It's only one of the original stores in Hong Kong that got that honor.

Hongkong Tim Sum here was great! Kindly recommend to try. The location was nice nearby Ginza station (Subway)

Not bad not bad I must say. Skin is a little thick for the dumplings but still yummy nonetheless.

I visited in the evening and didn't have to wait despite the place was all full. There's none to nit-pick. Personally I enjoyed the best dim sum so far in Tokyo. Will definitely visit again and again.

Went on a Friday just before six and didn’t have to queue, but right after there was a line. This place is one of the few places in Tokyo where you can have affordable but yummy dim sum. Coming from HK, most of the dishes are fine, but the siu mai is not as good as I want it to be hence 4 stars for the food.

Cantonese dimsum franchise store from Hong Kong. In HK, this restaurant awarded Michelin 1 star. Very good value for money. The quality for the basic core dimsum in Ginza is very high quality. Not too many choices but enough for a taste of good quality dimsum at good price. Highly recommended

Always great food. The best dim sum in Tokyo! And the service is so fast! I definitely recommend this place at least once, but plan on waiting in line for 20-30 minutes or more, depending on the time. It’s worth the wait!

When craving dim sum I always default to tim ho wan because their dim sum is just consistently so good! I especially love their shrimp dumpling, chicken feet, and porridge. A bit on the expensive side, plus this restaurant is usually very busy so sometimes expect to wait anywhere between 15 min to an hour in line.

One of the best dim sum places around. The price is reasonable, but is not cheap by any means. It is very popular and crowded, be prepared to wait ~1hr during peak times. I felt like the restaurant was very understaffed and so it took so much time to seat people. They are also using 6 seater tables that can be split into 3 sections for only 2 groups of 2 people, which adds up to the capacity of the restaurant. Food came out rather quickly though, which was good.

Great dim sum downtown Tokyo. I’m impressed by how thoughtful and polite the waiters and waitresses are.

Amazing food - queues can be long so worth getting their early. But well worth the wait.

Singaporean Chinese living in Japan and longing for dim sum. Satisfied my cravings!!! Just wondering….WHY ARE THERE NO EGG TARTS??? All the food I ordered were really good with a few exceptions - lor mai kai (lots of meat but rice not so flavorful - you can see the rice is white), char siew bao a little too sweet. I wanna try century egg porridge next!

Good yum cha for Japan standards. I've found some of the dishes to be a little too different then what you would getting overseas especially the chicken feet which I don't rate highly at all. I also found the bbq pork bun (char siu bau) much too sweet. Seems like anything with spice has had the spice removed to meet local expectations. I do really recommend the standard dishes such as the beef ravioli, prawn dumplings (har gow) and pork dumplings(siu mai). Also be warned on the weekend there can be a sizeable wait so take this under consideration.

Delicious and consistent. The queues were very long so got take away instead. It took a long time but the food seemed like it was freshly prepared and tastes just like in the restaurant. Standout is the quality of the food. Always consistent.
