Inexpensive and good stuff. Staff was really helpful! She taught me how to eat the dish. Yesterday I had something similar and dumped the whole egg into the soup. However, the way to eat it is to add 5 spoonful of soup and some ingredients into the egg, add some seaweed and mix it up! Slowly add more as you clear the original round of additions. 🙂

This place can be hard to find because it’s a hole in the wall, tucked away in a busy market. However, the food here is definitely worth it. It is one of the best soul foods to get warmed up and cure a hangover. Make sure to order the steamed octopus pieces to enjoy a super delicious bean sprout soup. The egg and dried seaweed that they give is also amazing.

Believe you me I have lived many years in Jeonju. This is the place to go for a perfect gukbap(국밥) in Jeonju. This little joint in the Nambu sijang (남부시장) is the original spot where all the branches began. I have eaten at these branches in Jeonju and elsewhere but none match the taste here at the original joint. Forget bibimbap this is the one food you need to eat when in Jeonju. Please note that the shop opens early like 6 am and closes early like 2 pm. You will not be disappointed. Be sure to order the nambu-sik (남부식) option. Nambu-sik is where they don't boil the broth to boiling point for better savour and taste.

Went here with a friend whole highly recommended it. It was great! The flavor had a great impact and a creeping heat. It was spicy and refreshing at the same time. Come here and you won't be disappointed. They have normal, spicy and not spicy. Go for normal and add squid to your order. You may have to wait but it is worth the wait.
