Customer service is the driving force behind successful businesses. Everybody that walks through the front doors of an establishment is entitled to the same treatment as everyone that walks through those doors. In other words everyone should be treated better than the owner himself or herself. Treatment we received was not only biased and discriminatory it was outright disrespectful and it needs to be addressed. The fact that ownership is aware of these problems and doing absolutely nothing to fix it is what the law community calls deliberate indifference.. just these reviews alone allow someone to bring a case against crunch fitness for allowing mistreatment of the customers the reason I joined crunch fitness was the nature and the nice people at the Fletcher parkway location also El cajon, Pacific Beach, and even mission valley of all the other places I've been to I've never dealt with what I dealt with at the Serra Mesa location. It's truly sad that this is 2022 and we still have people that's in customer service who feels as though that the customer serves them. The owner or manager or whoever needs to grow a pair and deal with this situation it's truly sad that your employee gets this many negative reviews and you do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! Serra Mesa gives crunch fitness locations a black eye simply because it's lack of leadership. You judge a leader by their followers and if you have followers that's in disarray that in and of itself shows weak leadership..

Would have to agree with some of the other comments and say that the front desk ladies are pretty rude! This one lady in particular, don’t remember her name, when i came in one day and scanned my card, she said to me “wow! you’re here like everyday.” in a very condescending and jokingly manner. Considering i’m paying for a membership here it would make sense to get as much use out of it. Furthermore, I would NEVER say something like that to someone because you never know what they could be going through. The gym is therapy for me and i believe other people would agree with me on that. In addition, considering how hard it is for some people, like myself, to actually muster up the courage to even go to the gym, this comment was extremely unnecessary and rude.

This gym is amazing! It’s affordable for all budgets and the staff is wicked friendly and accommodating, for both civilian and military. This gym has all the equipment you would need for any type of workout and their playlists crush. 10/10 recommend this facility.

Club is tucked away but in a prime space. It seems hidden from the surrounding areas which keeps it not busy most of the day. Staff go absolutely over the top to help you out. I see practically all of them doing laps cleaning around the facility. I was able to pay $15 to use the Cryotherapy for the first time in the business that rents a space out from them. I’ll probably join their too so I can use the sauna and cryo.

Staff is cool as hell and keep the place clean. They just added a hip thrust machine for glutes. They do a good job and the club is never too busy.

This little cozy gym packs so much in it. Been going to this gym since it open. Staff is awesome, the equipment options are great, is super clean, even when is busy members are great at sharing equipment or just gettn it done and moving on to their next machine or area. Definitely check them out!

The best gym ever! Everyone at the front is so kind and personable. The gym is always clean and Mat always makes sure needs are met! I've trained with Gage, he was so knowledgeable and helpful! You really can't go wrong at this crunch!

This is a great no frills gym. Has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Want a basketball court? Go to a park. Want a pool? Go to a country club. Wanna play squash? Go to Martha’s Vineyard. There’s like half a dozen racks of free weights and like two of every machine. They have a smith machine, a power rack, and a studio where they do classes (and where you can stretch or do whatever when it’s free). They even have a personal infrared sauna and cryo room. Oh and everybody is super friendly and the trainers are great! 👍

I think this is my favorite gym. I've gone to others that were good. However, I think the atmosphere here is what makes the difference. I don't feel like I have to compete with all the beautiful people. The staff there are always friendly and helpful. It was some equipment I didn't know how to use, they were right there showing me how to properly use it.

I’ve had wonderful time in the establishment due to there hard worker Brandon helping keep the gym clean and organized. As a late night lifter we need Brandon back with more late night shifts for his great customer service.

Very solid few-frills gym. It is generally pretty clean, and at least when I go in the mornings, never so crowded that I can’t use the weights or machines that I want. Overall I’d say a good value for the cost, and a very adequate neighborhood gym.

Second time here, every time I come home to visit this is my nearest crunch. Is small, and staff in the front are always nice and willing to help out. I gave four stars because the place is small like I mentioned it before and the lockers are tiny as well. They have good machines but if you are okay being next to someone close, then this will be a nice place to visit.

I’ve been a member for over a year now and find that I am consistently working out twice a week. It is close to home, easy parking, and the set up just works well for what I need. Never really have to wait long for a machine if it is being used, and treadmills are always available. The price is good too. I belonged to LA fitness down the road for a time, and found it expensive and more crowded. Reminds me of Planet Fitness in many ways. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Thumbs up!

Wow this gym is the best! Very clean, great mix of music and the staff is helpful and friendly. I train with Norman Black and have had the best experience.

Great gym for my needs. Plenty of free weights, machines, cardio equipment, and a room for classes. Staff is cool, friendly and helpful. Not in a busy area. Plenty of parking. Good value. Recommend you check it out.

The staff was friendly. However the layout is a bit compact. With that said I did get my sets in rather quickly (Saturday midmorning). So yeah!

The gym itself is fine. I just had an issue where I attempted to cancel my membership, and they suggested instead to just use a 3 month pause. I forgot about it, and they stopped sending me regular emails with billing info and resumed charging without notifying me for a year and a half, and then denied any refund.

Has everything I need and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Brandon is cool I also recommend Personal Trainer Gage he's helping me with leg day and he knows alot is very useful.

Definitely my favorite gym - everyone is super friendly and there is a good amount of equipment. I would also recommend trying out their Recoverme options! It really helped me with muscle soreness. 10/10 recommend this place.

I love this crunch location, the machines all work and are clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, I had a great workout in and out in less than a couple hours

i use the classroom to practice speed rope and to use the punching bags in the space. The room is open each hour their are no classes going on which seems to be most of the day. Not all gyms have their classroom open outside of class time. This really opens up to the space and gives a lot of open space to the gym to do different styles of workouts in. Their trainers sometimes work with their clients in there and I have been able to pick up a few tips from their trainers on the side. I haven't had time to do my free membership training session with their trainers but I thought it was kind of them to offer that. Speaking to the trainers and the staff you can tell they want to do feel equipped and have resource with them if need be. Thank you for Taz, Angela, and Sabrina for all the help at the front desk.

Staff was nice but you get what you pay for. Weak AC, small gym and after I canceled I was charged several hundred dollars (on a $16.99/month membership). When I called to ask why I was told that I must be paying for personal training or an additional membership that I forgot about - which I was not. Spend a little extra money and go somewhere else.

I recently moved into the area and am searching for a midday gym with the accessibility of equipment without wait. After a week a workouts, I am able to say with ease that, hands down, this is the best gym to accommodate my needs. Angela at the front desk was able to work on a military discount for me and give my wife a session with a coach to get acclimated to technique and form. Very satisfied customer

Awesome experience in this gym. Locker rooms are kept very clean and the staff is friendly and supportive. Great amount of equipment. Completed a 3 week training session with Junior on powerlifting. He was flexible with the schedule, provided a lot of insight into my form and he (safely) encouraged me to push pass my self-imposed limits.

Small space so it's usually crowded, which kind of sucks. Not a lot of open floor space to use for stretching or doing anything that's not on a machine or bench when the room with mirrors (not sure what the name of the room is) is being used for a fitness class.

I love my gym! Been coming here since 2020 and it’s always clean, orderly and the staff is super friendly, especially Marvin. I definitely like the lighting and big windows in the establishment.
