Worst California burrito Ive had my life it was a tiny bit of meat and cheese and like a pound of cold, old French fries. They definitely need a new chef and to step up their game.

Went here for Taco Tuesday and got 2 fish tacos and chips and salsa for $4. These tacos are big as well so you’re getting bang for your buck.

Authentic Mexican taco shop food, taken up a notch. A great place, highly recommend.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Service was very quick. The portions were very large and the food was delicious. We will definitely dine there again and try different menu items. Love it.

I've been coming here for 20+ years and always had a good experience. But the last two times I've ordered from there it's been terrible. The first time food was missing from my family's order. The food was not good tasting either which was embarrassing because I had told my family who haven't tried it before that they had good food. Had to call in to get it fixed and had to pick it up. The second time I ordered carne asada chips with no pico and sour cream on the side. To my surprise the order was bare and had more chips than asada, there was no guacamole despite the receipt showing what I asked for. I called to find out if it came with guacamole, they said it did. I told them my order was incorrect that there was none. She spoke with the cook and they said it's "under the meat". Again I told them there was no guacamole and there was more chips than anything. So they offered to remake my order, fine, I get there show them that I wasn't lying about it. They just said "oh ok" , not a sorry for making you come back again or sorry for charging $12 for less than a cup full of asada and cheese and a whole bag of tortilla chips. Gave me my order and I left. Now I'm not looking to get something for free but I didn't even get an apology. Which bothers me because if you make a mistake at least apologize for the inconvenience or at least try not to make the customer sound stupid especially when the restaurant got the order wrong in the first place. It's a hit and miss, the quality has definitely gone down while the prices have gone up for hardly what your paying for. I won't be returning back, I know it won't matter to them, but they lost a long time customer.

Great good, very authentic and great tasting. I ordered 2 Chile Relleno’s and beef taco, my husband ordered Tostada and taco , will come back and I do recommend this spot.

I ordered the shrimp tacos and a large Jamaica and my friend ordered the Carne Asada plate and a medium Horchata. The atmosphere was amazing and very pleasant. The staff were friendly and I'd reccomend this restaurant to others. It was my first time here, I came with a friend because her brother recommended it. It's an awesome find, 😍😍🤩🥳

The cashier was really attentive she took my order gave me chips with salsa. She took my food to my table as well. The chips were stale the salsa was good. The potatoe tacos I ordered were really good. I order two and it was enough for me.

Chose this place to eat at today with my bfs family from out of state. 3 of us ordered the beef rolled tacos and I ate one and immediately it tasted bad and I had to spit it out. hoping it was just the one I split open another to look at the meat, smelled it and it was 100% rotten and old with a slightly green color in all of the beef that was ordered. I’m currently having stomach issues and it made it instantly worse and now I have food poisoning. As a chef and local from Chula Vista Im absolutely disappointed. The only good things were the drinks and chips and salsa. Leaving the place a couple order the rolled tacos and sat where we were and I could smell that they were also bad.

Very friendly staff, not too busy, and plenty of seating inside and outside. The carne asada tacos and beans and rice was delicious! I highly recommend this place for great authentic Mexican food :)

Dry carne asada.. California burrito was just carne asada, cheese and stale French fries and the tortilla was crusty/falling apart, it was old.. no sour cream, or salsa.. saddest California burrito ever.. I converted the burrito to carne asada fries lmao

You have got to come in here for dine in if you’re looking for a low-key, satisfying meal, with great service. If you dine in, you get complimentary chips and salsa! I really like the older lady that works here because she reminds me of one of my aunts (I’m Filipino hehhe) so helpful and cheerful :) Their carne Asada fries are cooked extra crispy so if that’s your thang then come here! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEIR ROLLED TACOS OMG OMG with their salsa verde! Mmmm!! Yes please! Need food to go? Call ahead of time or order in person! Happy eating!

The visit started out good. The prices were decent and the service average. I ordered carne asada fries and my partner ordered 5 rolled tacos, they both came with a drink. We received our food and my fries looked like a lot, it was mostly fries, but it tasted fine. My partner got through the mound of lettuce on top of her tacos and started in on her tacos and they tasted weird. When she got to the second one she got a big piece of meat and it tasted very spoiled and she had to spit it out. She took her food up and asked for her money back. They offered something else but eventually gave her the money for the tacos. I would've given them 3 stars but after giving the money for the tacos the service very quickly declined. They were very salty about her saying the meat was bad and asking for her money back. And for that reason, we will not be returning.

Ordered here before. Had Called in and Ordered in Person usually get the Cali burrito and everytime they gave it to me as you can see they gave me sour cream and guacamole without charge, now today outta nowhere they said it's extra and all like uhm okay not only that when I called in this time whoever the lady answered didn't even say if I wanted a guacamole or sour cream so to even begin with how could I know it was extra for everything. But like I said before they never offered those thing before to me I I just Cali burrito and bam got it with everything.but yea last time I come here one thing I dislike is when people mess with food without saying anything. So not only that but I ordered a Pollo Asado and Carnitas Burrito for co workers the Pollo Asado has no flavor and other co worker just did not like his carnitas burrito either didn't even finish it threw it away and this is a guy who honestly legitimately doesn't do that unless the food was bad like it was it even mediocre.

I'm probably a bit biased, since I'd go here relatively frequently back when I was in high-school(over 10 years ago), but it holds up great. My all time favorite thing to order is a California burrito with no pico, no gauc, and no sour cream. Every part of the burrito is fantastic, and it is my favorite place to get California burritos. Their red sauce is great! I've NEVER had any complaints, and I recommend Don Pedro's to everyone I know when the topic of taco shops comes up

Lovely little place to eat. Very homey vibe. Other than the service counter you could almost feel like you walked into someone's dining room. Employees were kind. Food was good.

Good food and service. Chips on the table were a plus. Surprised by the $.50 charge for credit cards.

Don pedros taco are disgusting, never ever get them again, their tortillas are soggy and nasty, not a good taste, their chicken doesnt even smell and taste good

This place is the best. Period. Lived in San Diego all my life and they have been the most consistent and friendly Taco Shop I’ve come across yet. But don’t take my word for it. Go experience it yourself! Thanks

I was ok with this place until tonight! The guacamole on my kids food tasted like cleaning chemicals and my mouth got numb like if soap was in my mouth! I called to complain and they just wanted to give me free food. I never complain or post reviews but when I say my mouth got numb and tasted awful it taste as if I got a spoon full of soap and avocado and ate it

Food good I would recommend we had the special birria plate with rice beans and a drink for $11.50 the place is outdated but great service from the waitresses.

I been going to this family taco shop since 2004 and in never has dissatisfied me. If I'm in the area, I have to eat there. I definitely will recommend this small business owners. The food is so good and the service is amazing. I believe the family is from Guadalajara Mexico and the taste is definitely authentic Mexican food.

I'll tell you what. Every time I travel anywhere, the next time I come through San Diego/Chula Vista i think about how amazing breakfast burritos are available at almost every taqueria and they are almost always both huge and very good. I wasn't disappointed burrito was both huge and very good. This was a minimalist/classic take with just bacon, eggs and potato with red and green sauce to squirt on top. All the ingredients were fresh which is unusual even for a great breakfast burrito. It's a nice little shop as well.

Jose and his team catered our wedding reception, and they did an amazing job! They cooked up all different kinds of delicious tacos for all 130 of us at the wedding reception, and they set up a very nice table for sauces, limes, guacamole, beverages, etc. Their decorative set up (colored table cloths) and high quality utensils really added to the weddings atmosphere as well. Jose was very responsive throughout the whole process, and his team arrived early to make sure everything was set up for our event. We would recommend him and his team to anyone looking for catering for a large event!
