Great location, beautiful design and well-aged property! Everyone was tentative, especially the restaurant manager, Mr. Robin, made sure that we had a good time. We ended up getting engaged during the stay so we will definitely come back! Thank you so much for the wonderful memories, Mrs. Brossard

A delightful experience every step of the way. Beautiful rooms with beautiful views. Outstanding service. The concierge in particular was very helpful in booking restaurants that were sold out, and helping us with every request with smile and a bow. We had friends staying at the Aman Tokyo. The service at Mandarin Oriental was superior.

I always enjoy staying at the Mandarin Oriental. I love the integration of asian architecture and western luxury. This time in Tokyo, it was no different and overall, I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Below are some of the things I felt that can be improved in the future: - Room decorations seem pretty bland at times, especially when compared to the pictures online. I think adding a few colors like changing the pillow covers or adding some vegetation would be nice. - The new dim sum breakfast offered was tasty overall but it simply lacks the authentic flavors. I understand its a hotel in Japan and the chefs probably made it to accompany the Japanese tastebuds, but I think since we are paying a premium, it should at least resemble the true flavors. Also, the soup dumpling skin ripped off too way to easily making it hard to eat.

An incredible hotel and one of the top hotels I’ve stayed in while in Tokyo. The views are incredible, the rooms are spacious and modern, the gym is great, the pizza restaurant is one of my Tokyo favorites, breakfast was simple and delicious and the service was top notch. Overall an incredible experience and will definitely be back.

I am a guest who checked in on 7/15 .You were rang twice at 9:00 this morning. Your waiter took the key and opened the door to my room. My privacy was violated. Why can you open the door so boldly ? Did no one tell him that someone was still in this room? This behavior is very poor, can someone teach them that they can open the door at 9 am when the room is still occupied. Exaggerated behavior. Trespassing in my room without being told? If I'm sleeping, does he come straight into my room? Outrageous. Go adjust your cctv . I've stayed in so many hotels and I've never seen such exaggerated behavior. Later, he came to get the key to open my door, and I told him to leave before he left. Is this the level that a five-star hotel should have? Do I need to get a chair to the door to reach the kinky housekeeper?

The Mandarin Oriental exceeded all expectations. The room was beautiful with an excellent view. It was obvious that the hotel took attention to detail seriously. For example, our daytime room service wasn’t just replacing soft towels and tidying; it was a cleaning and dressing our room to the same standard as when we checked in. Our sleep was superb in the king bed with the most comfortable pillows. The bathroom was amazing as well with a tub large enough for two. Location is perfect. If you venture out from your oasis, there are so many dining and shopping experiences right outside. Overall - 6* out of 5*. We loved our stay.

Amazing hotel. Amazing bar. Amazing restaurants. Staff is amazing, too! Seriously though, this is a 5-star hotel in the heart of Tokyo with easy access to many of the top destinations. Staff is excellent and the views are beautiful. Highly recommended.

A stunning hotel with an incredible staff. My wife and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon and from the moment we stepped into the lobby we were treated like royalty. Our expectations were completely exceeded in every capacity. We cannot wait to go back.

The hotel is truly spectacular. Great location, excellent amenities and delicious food. Service was impeccable. The views from the rooms are amazing. Our last day, we were greeted with a special desert for brunch when we told Fabio our wonderful waiter that we were leaving. He is amazing! Thank you all for such an amazing time.

Stay for 5 nights with my husband in MOTYO. The room is spacious, clean, luxurious. Bed is comfortable and nice. The downside just you need to change elevator twice to get to the room or exit the hotel. We got room with Mount Fuji view, it was beautiful in the clear sky. Location is good for shopping, and subway is right under the building. In the evening a little bit noisy because of police car or fire truck or ambulance’s sirens from the street/highway nearby. But not so annoying. Service is good, staffs are polite, friendly and remember the guests, they also attentive and helpful.

My stay at the Mandarin not only exceeded my every expectation for service, quality and overall comfort, it raised the bar of what I expect from a hotel. My stay was easily the most enjoyable and memorable hotel experience I’ve had in my life and I am inspired to do everything in my power to return! Special thanks to the staff - you guys are really the lifeblood of the organization. They should make a new word because hotel doesn’t do it justice.

Yes the views are insane! The lobby is like something out of a film set and the whole place smells like a spa but please just hit the bar as much as possible!🍸 the cocktails they create are magical and the attention detail along with the teams passion for cocktails is incredible. I also had the chance to have an incredible massage with a view of Tokyo, to top it off I was treated to strawberries and sorbet after! Which in hindsight I think you probably need to give you the energy to leave the spa 😴 I’ve never felt so relaxed and spoilt. Thank you Mandarin for making my first stay in Japan so special!

An incredible stay at the Mandarin Oriental. Everything was perfect - check-in, beautiful room, housekeeping and even the room service! I stayed for 5 nights and didn’t want to leave. The customer service of all staff was outstanding, especially Ms Jihyun Yee (Front Office Manager) who made extra effort in making my stay fabulous! Thank you so very much, I can’t wait to return.

Our family trip to Japan started off with a 4 night stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Tokyo and we were blown away. From the moment we were greeted in the lobby, we knew we made the right choice. In a city with many five star luxury hotels, this property did not disappoint. Upon arrival, they accommodated our request to have our rooms close together. The breakfast was amazing, they surprised us with a fluffy soufflé pancake one morning, even though they typically don't make them but they knew our son wanted to try one. I had a fabulous massage at their incredible spa. Afternoon tea was a delight and the view from every single angle in the hotel was spectacular and never got old. You felt on top of the world, it was a welcomed respite. The dinners did not disappoint and the concierge was incredibly helpful with every single request. When we returned to our rooms every evening, we were greeted with the intoxicating aroma of the best fruit any of us have ever had. The property and staff were truly amazing. It was a perfect way to start off our trip to Japan. We were so impressed, we've decided our next trip will be to the Mandarin Oriental in Lake Como, we can't wait!

It's a great hotel, amazing receptionists and overall sublime customer attention. Rooms are spacious and provided with whatever you need, including a binocular to watch the fantastic view from the window, directly towards Tokyo Tower. Excellent facilities including a well equipped and clean fitness centre, where you can get fresh water and fruits to boost your training. The concierge deserve to be mentioned as well, super efficient and kind, at any hour under any circumstances. Kudo to MO Tokyo and its whole staff I will come back during my next staying at Tokyo

Stayed twice in 6 days at start and end of holiday. Shout out to Hiroaki san front service manager at ground floor for exceptional service above and beyond. Contact with all other service personnel was fine. 3 stars because of our seating experience at 38th floor lounge. We came at 5.30pm, asked for table by window with city views AT LEAST 3x, but was told they were all Reserved. We were seated by the entrance. 20 min into our drinks 2 American ladies walked in, asked for a table and was told they could have the table but had to vacate by 7. Why we couldn’t have been offered the same option baffles me. For the duration of our visit at lounge, 4 window tables were vacant. we left st 6.30pm. Disappointed with the service attitude. Tempered our stay experience.

Great hotel. Amazing service, good spacious rooms (a tad bit outdated but still great). The Concierge service is definitely not the best. To be honest it’s really bad especially for a brand on that level. They couldn’t even secure me a reservation in one of the hotel own restaurants. They have a weird policy of not allowing outside food. Which I think is disrespectful.

Location is impeccable near Japan Central bank and key finance hub. Here for seven days and inarguably the best 5 star experience ever had, every dime well spent. As a MO member I will rate Tokyo MO lot higher than Taipei MO. This is probably the best MO experience you can find except Bangkok MO and NY MO, Taipei M.O still have long way to catch up. The Shin Sushi bar provides wonderful booking and dining experience, definitely a must-go , highly recommended. The chocolate and cakes are finest you can find in Asia, with smooth taste and are reasonably priced. Unfortunately no swimming pool available but room services and privacy are top tier. Quiet, Luxury and comfortable.

Best staff we have ever experienced. The room is full of thoughtful touches. Great layout and designed for women too, which is rare. Downstairs is the metro so you can get anywhere your heart desires. The lounge has a wonderful atmosphere where we had the cheese plate and fruit. Concierge in Tokyo is important and we got great service!

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional experience I had at your establishment. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel stands in a league of its own. The attention to detail, the impeccable service, and the luxurious ambiance created an unforgettable stay. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. It's rare to find such a perfect blend of elegance and warmth. Your commitment to excellence shines through in every aspect, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the exquisite dining options. It's no wonder that your hotel is renowned for setting the standard in the industry. Thank you for creating an oasis of luxury and tranquility, where every guest feels like royalty. I look forward to my next visit and experiencing your unparalleled hospitality once again.

My wife and I stayed here for five nights on our first wedding anniversary trip in August '23. The rooms are very nice and the amenities are what you would expect from a Mandarin property. Everyone on the staff that we encountered were very helpful and as English speakers, this was a particularly easy hotel to navigate. We also felt like the quality of this hotel, relative to the cost, was better than many of the other 'luxury' options. The views from the room are spectacular! The only minor complaint with this hotel is that the location is a little remote - you're not really within walking distance of many interesting sites, but the good news is that transit is close by and easily accessible. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel for a quality, relaxing experience.

We had a really pleasant stay with MO TOKYO! The staff from front desk to restaurant all present the high level service. The staff in K’shiki are all friendly and deliver great service! Special call out Mr.酒井 who checked in and out us he is really a professional hotelier. The girl who brought us to elevator was excellent, too! Sorry it was a bit dark so I was not able to see your name. Your smile really gave us a good memory to start our Japan tour🇯🇵😍 Thank you again that we really enjoy our stay☺️☺️

Oh my god what a dream!! This place gives you what you pay for and more. I stayed here on my birthday and everyone was so kind and giving! Definitely make use of the spa and massage.... worth it! Mike was so helpful and booked us a spot at an omakase that was better than we could have imagined. The breakfast buffet was insanely good and the views were beyond beautiful. You can't go wrong with this one.

I booked a premiere suite for 3 nights. There was strong sewage smell from both bathrooms it made me and my family sick whenever we had to use the bathroom. I asked to change rooms but they said there was no availability. I felt frustrated and disappointed that for paying such a high price I have to deal with this problem. Even after it was supposedly fixed there was still a sewage smell in one of the bathrooms. Also we went for breakfast which was supposed to be fully inclusive but depending on what you order for breakfast you will get a suprise bill which wasnt explained and left a bad impression. They also charged breakfast for my daughter but I was told kids were complementary during booking. When I checked out I get another surprise as the bill is alot higher than i was quoted when checking inn as they didn't include service and tax charges. I wasn't even asked how was my stay. Update: The hotel reached out to me to try to correct some of the issues I faced which I appreciate. I have updated my review to reflect this.

We expected our stay to be excellent but it was more than excellent from the moment we arrived at the ground floor lobby to check-in to our room to the bar and breakfast and gym experiences. Mr. Shibuya at check in soon saw it was my birthday, and my 60th at that, and throughout our stay, we were greeted with extra little surprises that makes us want to stay at the MO Tokyo again. Thank you to all the staff whether out at front or in the back office!

We had such a fabulous stay! We were celebrating my husband birthday and you played a huge part in making it the most memorable one. Thanks for the kind notes and attentions. Despite Covid, you made us feel very safe. Thanks for the lovely experience in our own city!

This place is amazing in every way. The rooms are immaculate, the food is amazing, the views second to none but most importantly the service - from the moment the reservation was made to the moment we checked out (actually, even beyond) they went out of their way to make it as pleasurable a stay as you could want. Helped navigate Tokyo, make reservations, train tickets, send items home, order taxis, tours, whatever you needed they were there to help. Best service you can imagine.

We had a fabulous stay at the Mandarin in Tokyo in May 2023. The rooms are huge by Tokyo standard and the view is spectacular, I particularly liked the binoculars provided in the room. The in-room amenities were delicious, we looked forward to coming back to the hotel every evening knowing we would find some new fruit or mochi. The breakfast spread was very good. This is a great option if you are traveling with an infant. In the room, we were provided with a crib, bottle sterilizer, diaper genie, baby bathtub, baby toiletries and on our last day the front desk staff made a handkerchief bunny with a hand written note for our baby. I would like to give a special appreciation for the service, right from the gentlemen at the valet till the housekeeping staff. We were traveling with our 7 month old baby and she was treated like a celebrity by every member of the staff we encountered and by day 2, most of the staff knew her by name (Alyssa). This made us (first time parents traveling for the first time internationally with our baby) very happy.

Stayed at the Mandarin Tokyo for 1 week for a working holiday. The staff were very attentive and flexible to all my requests. The breakfast was not a buffet style due to covid, but nevertheless delicious. Be sure to check out the Mandarin Spa, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Tokyo cityscape from their jacuzzi and sauna.

The hotel is absolutely high end. The bar does exceptional drinks, the 38th pizza bar the best pizza I’ve ever had in Asia and the Molecular Lab Tapas bar is an amazing experience. Don’t forget to use the toilets on the 38th floor for an amazing view over Tokyo.

Overall, we absolutely loved our 4 day stay here. Top marks to the room attendants who made the place immaculate every day, even going as far as arranging our toiletries and organising all the charger cables! We also think our train ticket was accidentally cleaned away and after one call to reception, they organised a replacement! So kind efficient. Location is pretty great with nice restaurants around. It’s more in a business district than the bustling centre but not really an issue with the metro close by and cabs always waiting. We also had a lovely lady on reception who helped us book restaurants, tickets and gave us directions. The main reason for loosing a star is the spa. Before our midday train on the last day we were really excited to relax for an hour in the pool before leaving. We got fully changed in to our swim wear/gowns and headed down to the spa at 10am but on arrival were told that we were only allowed to use the area between 6am and 9am unless we booked a treatment. It was embarrassing and super disappointing especially for my girlfriend. We were not told this at any point during check in or in-room literature, so that kind of tarnished the stay at the end. Surprising given the thousands you pay to stay here. The only other negative is the breakfast is pricey at over £100 per day for the two of us, though it was lovely. Overall we loved our stay though and would definitely return.

Welcome wine, fresh fruits & personalized cards - we were so moved by the hospitality and care we received during our stay! The view was stunning with Tokyo sky tree looking at us! Thank you so much for putting the teepee out -our son LOVED it! He would eat the welcome fruits there, watch his youtube shows there & take a nap there! Everything was baby proofed too so my husband and I were able to relax letting our son run around the spacious room!

We had a wonderful stay! Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient central location. The staff provides a very high level of service, especially the Concierges, who are amazing. We plan to return soon!

We had a lovely first stay at The Mandarin Oriental Tokyo. Excellent service, the hotel was beautiful, the room spacious. Excellent drinks at the bar with a nice view of the Tokyo skyline. Our concierge who helped us was very helpful in booking us a dinner, and even comping welcome drinks. Thank you for a great first stay, and we look forward to visiting more Mandarin Oriental properties.

the customer service was the best - all the staff was super attentive and took care of us during our stay. They were also pleasing to talk with which I feel is rare in Japan! So Kudos to everyone. The reason 1 point is deducted is because I found some "odd" issues with the room - some staining in the shower and some of the drawers were crooked and not properly aligned so they took some work to open properly. (This was in Tokyo room 3421) - other than that - it really is a 10 - If I could've just made this a 9.9 or 9.8 I would have.

I read the blogs talking about how the service was great, but it went beyond my wildest dream. From the first email asking for dinner reservations, to the checkout, everything was beyond my expectations. Kind, caring, thoughtful, and meaningful is how I describe every employee's actions.

Fantastic! Love the accomodations and the food was great. My backpack was left at the hotel when we left and the head bellhop drive it to the shin station. That's some stellar customer service 11/10!

The Mandarin Oriental can take your hotel experiences to the next level. You feel like you are somewhere special from the moment you walk through the door. One other reason to stay there is that you can enjoy the gorgeous views of Tokyo skyline.
