Hipogeo de Torre del Ram

Museum

👍 Interesting for lovers of old stones. Set in a housing development. I liked the contrast of modern houses and ancient burial chamber. Probably a ten minute visit. Look for the presumably ancient scratched image of a ship. Remarkably free of much modern graffiti considering location.

Once inside you would think you were at one of the others of this kind , this one is in an unlikely place and basically on a street corner in Cala den blanes but worth a visit .

(Translated by Google) Funeral hypogeum several centuries old and with possibly one of the first engravings of a ship in history, very cool to visit if you pass through Menorca, the drawback is that the place is semi abandoned and places like this should be protected only for their history.

(Translated by Google) It is an underground cave where they made burials many centuries ago. Unfortunately it has no protection and inside they have made drawings and use it as a urinal. It's a pity that you don't know how to respect what is historical and unique in each place.

On a walk we found this unassuming little place. Mere curiosity took me in to the small field to read the sign. Fascinating to find such a small historical site in the middle of town. You can enter the cave, small and take your light with you. If your walking in the area it’s definitely worth stopping and having a look and a read about the site

Place to visit if you love archeology. Good preservation and some gravures.
