If you are looking for a chill, relaxing, no-stress bar with delicious food and affordable pricing, Bambi Bar is perfect for you. My wife and I enjoyed Boneless Chicken Wings, a Southwestern Bambi Burger, and a basket of freshly made Beer-Battered Onion Rings. We ordered to-go for lunch, and it was promptly ready in 15 minutes. The Boneless Wings were not overly crispy, and had a tender juicy center. It's a perfect compliment for their barbecue sauce. Moving on to the burger, wow! I was surprised by the size. The Burger was covered in pepper jack cheese and more of those delectable, fresh, crispy onion rings. I could not eat the whole thing. You must stop by and try their onion rings and burgers, as they are some of the best I've had. 5/5.

My wife and I were looking for a great bar to eat lunch and Bambi’s is that bar! The talk on the burgers and previous reviews about the burgers being amazing were spot on. “Flavorful, juicy burger with fresh toppings“ were my wife’s comments. I had a veggie burger in a mushroom and Swiss. While it was really good, I should have tried the fish. Luckily I’ll be back and make better choices. Oh! And the fried mushrooms, onion rings, and spicy cheese balls were simply amazing! Service was also phenomenal. Great people and environment!

This is a very fun and friendly bar, both staff and customers. The bar is well stocked. They have one of the best burgers call the Bambi Burger. One of the juiciest and most flavorful burgers I've had. There is plenty of great fried food and the onion rings are a winner. I just finally got to Bambi Bar after being in the neighborhood about three years. I'm going to have to make up for lost time and go a lot more!

I had heard from various people and online Bambi has the best burgers in Louisville. Armed with this information I took my 11 year old nephew (he’s a burger connoisseur) for an afternoon of burger tasting. The place is very cool, old school vibe. It’s definitely more of a bar than a restaurant which is great! The service was good and the place was clean. I actually asked once we walked in if kids were allowed and YES KIDS ARE WELCOME - at least during the daytime. My issue was with our burgers. Not sure if we hit it at the wrong time but once we both picked up our burgers to eat them the meat basically crumbled into small pieces. This happened to both burgers and every bite. They are huge burgers and tasted great but it stinks having every single bite crumble onto the plate as you try to eat it. The patties we got were definitely not formed properly. Not sure if this is common at Bambi? If not I’d like to give it another try….

I went to get a good old bar burger...and I got an AWESOME GOOD OLD BAR BURGER!!!! This burger is the best burger I've had in any bar in Louisville. NOT box frozen patty. It was thick, juicy, cooked perfectly, fresh lettuce onion and tomato. Onion rings were also awesome!!! I will stop searching now. I have found what I've been looking for for years. It is a small bar, so you might have to wait for a table, but it's worth it.

Great burger. Friendly staff. Please consider getting some new flooring. Laminate, sheet vinyl, anything would be great. My feet stuck to the floor, it was a very sticky situation. Thanks

Long wait. Not a surprise with low workforce at most places. The burgers are tasteless hunks of loose meat. There is absolutely nothing special about them. No salt, pepper, or any other ingredient noticeable in the burger other than ground beef.

Great dive bar, owner and his wife are super nice and friendly. Me and my gf wanted a burger and a beer for lunch and they delivered. The Bambi burger and onion rings are delicious! The beer is good and cold. The bathrooms look new with nice tile and are very clean. Had base ball playing on the big screens. We had a great time and highly recommend it.

Fantastic hand-pattied, built-to-suit, 1/2 pound burgers. Cheap eats and cold brews. Plus sports on the TV. What are you waiting for?

Drinks were great. Atmosphere was great. Super friendly bunch of folks!!! My party had the following foods: burgers, chili, chili dog w/onion & cheese, grilled cheese. It was good and comparably priced.

Consistently great! Just stopped in and had the Bambi Burger. Took on to go for my son for when I picked him up from school. He ate it before we can get home. He said damn that's a really good burger!

A local watering hole. A staple. Bambi is a legend and you can't say you've been to the Highlands unless you've been to Bambi for a drink or burger or better yet the "Bambi Walk". Always good service and a fun crowd! Do yourself a favor and make a trip, and liven up any afternoon or evening!

Absolutely love this locals bar. Was traveling for business and I always love a low key place to tuck down for dinner and relax. Found that here. Bar staff were friendly, everybody knew each other, and the prices were extremely fair and the foodz although simple, was great. Not a single complaint from me!

The burger was a decent size and tasty. I asked for No onions but my burger had onions, I took them off but they shouldn't have been there. It took about 30 minutes to get our order.

I just went in to order food to go. Last time I was at this establishment I bought the entire bar drinks. One of the owners turned me away today. I am so disappointed after I spent a whopping amount of money in there. I had no idea what she was talking about when she proceeded to escort me out of the place. I used to love Mom and Pop places, unfortunately, this lady has no respect for the Highlands as that's what they're comprised of. She wouldn't know. She's not from there. We are KNOWN for our friendliness. She obviously has no clue about that! Just completely unclassy and rude. 😪

A friend and I stopped by after work for a drink and it was the perfect dive bar (I say this respectfully). We didn’t order food but it looked delicious!! We each had tall mixed drinks and they were good! The bartender was friendly even though she was VERY busy. She was attentive and checked in regularly! We will be back here for sure.

I have been a patron of this establishment for 44 years! It's my neighborhood hang out! Even it I live 20 miles away! Beth and Paul rock! RIP Mott and Whitt!

My wife and I got the Bambi Burger and we weren’t disappointed. Top notch ingredients for the burgers, super juicy, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The fried mushrooms are the best we have had here in Louisville and are a reason by themselves to stop back in.

This is so crazy me and a buddy went here like 17 years ago when we were in Louisville for an Easy rider bike convention. We had no idea what kind of place it was we just stumbled across it. We had a burger and a few beers. The burger was AMAZING. The bar was really cool and the atmosphere was great. The people were nice and friendly. I really wish we had a neighborhood bar like this where I live. This place I've only been once but I still remember it 17 yrs later. AWESOME BAR. I did 4 yrs in the Navy I've been to 100s of bars and this one is in the top 5 easy. Of all the bars I've been in the world! This is NUMBER 1 FOR A QUAINT LITTLE NEIGHBORHOOD BAR AND GRILL. AWESOME HIDDEN TREASURE! Om going to drive up 90 miles next week and visit and post pics

Great neighborhood bar and delicious food. I had the Mini Dan burger with steak fries. Our party also had Spicy Cheese Balls with horseradish sauce as an appetizer. Burgers are hand patted and so good. The cheese balls are a must have. Looking forward to our next visit.
