This was a good stay. Having the pool and gym on hand for guest use was brilliant. The rooms and shared areas were clean if just a little tired around the edges. The food from the bar was freshly prepared and of good amounts. Breakfast in the restaurant was good too with hot items being replenished frequently keeping everything warm and tasty. Will be staying again.

GYM review If you’ve got £50 a month to throw away this is the place for you! Unless you’re getting here for 3.30 before the crowds it’s frustrating. You can’t swim a straight length in the pool as you need to go to round people as there are no lanes. The jacuzzi fills up with the kids of people here on a jaunt, so you can’t use what you’ve paid for in your membership, despite there being signs for over 16’s only. And would it kill someone to get a sweeping brush out so that when you head for the pool at 5pm having just got there, your not walking through who knows what from people’s shoes as they go to and from the changing rooms during the swimming lessons. In short it’s a work out for your patience more than anything else.

Attended a wedding here, very spacious and very helpful and lovely staff. Pool is really nice and bonus hot tub, is dog friendly and has a grassy area at back to walk them a little. Only issue is with room. The keycards stopped working on the second day and had to go to reception, room on the other side of the hotel so was quite a trek. They also ran out of prosecco because of the wedding however they could’ve stocked up more because of this.

There are few places where you feel that there isn't any room for improvement. Unfortunately this isn't one of them. We were there for 3 nights and frustratingly I could write a very long list of "niggles", without these our stay would have been much more enjoyable. The more noticeable issues were that I felt many of the staff needed to be more on point, indeed I can only think of a few that I would consider to be either friendly or competent. The breakfast experience was very mixed, there didn't appear to be any management or training of the staff with some looking as though they were lost. This resulted in having to wait for many of the items to be replenished, tables not being cleared etc. However I would congratulate them on being able to serve a soft fried egg on 3 consecutive days. They could do with a new toaster and drinks machine, both seemed to have minds of their own. The gum chewing receptionist seemed to go missing on a regular basis. No one was apparently aware of a fracas in the first floor corridor at 5.00am on Sunday morning which lasted nearly an hour. Even the normally reliable room service was a bit hit and miss. The cleaning was very good but we had to ask for our complimentary water and a second bath towel. OK it's not a big deal but basic errors tell you something. I could whinge on and on but enough, in balance there were many good points, the hotel and gardens are well presented and everything in the bathroom and bedroom worked as it should. Did I mention they don't have any local ales in the bar?

Great location situated for a variety of places to visit whilst staying for work! Rooms were a little dated and around kettles a bit of dust. A few holes in the wall etc. Otherwise everything else was perfect! Gym and pool was a nice addition to use out of working time. Food was great and breakfast was by far the best level I have seen in a chain hotel for a while. Service was amazing particularly Gemma who was working at the bar/restaurant during the stay. Plenty of car park space.

Great staff who were very welcoming and accommodating. The main communal areas look smart and seem to have been recently refreshed. The bathrooms are clean, smart and look like they've been recently updated. Parts of the hotel including the bedroom were tacky, dated and showing signs of age. An update to those would do wonders. Book online to avoid the reservations team call centre agents selling you a more expensive room than you actually need by implying that the cheaper ones are not available. For the price we paid, this is a 3/5. At a more reasonable price, it'd be worth a 4/5.

We spent two nights here and had two double rooms whilst visiting our daughter nearby. The hotel is set away from motorway and noisy roads so is very quiet, with very pleasant views of the countryside. As it is situated near to the motorway you can explore and travel around West Yorkshire with ease. The hotel is modern with a contemporary feel but is tired on closer inspection. The rooms we had were more spacious than more expensive options and we did not feel we were on top of each other. The rooms were very clean and neat and did their job well with good sized bathroom and bed. The breakfast was fabulous with a great selection of hot and cold food. The staff did not hassle us and were very polite and friendly. We used the on-site pool which was lovely as we had it to ourselves for a long time. Overall the hotel was great and very good value for money. The only down side was not the hotel but other guests who were loud in the corridors and banging doors. However, this did not impact too much on our enjoyment of the hotel. If you have additional physical needs make sure you have a room on the ground floor as there are no lifts to the first floor.

It was a very nice hotel but no lift to access the 1st floor. Food was good as was the service from the friendly, helpful staff. We had a quiet room despite the hotel being so close to a motorway.

Stayed overnight for an event. Booking in was simple, our room was lovely, great view out to fields, the bathroom was very modern, with shower gel/shampoo provided. Tea/coffee also supplied. The evening event with the food arriving to each table precise and timely. The menu was delicious. Our only gripes were the room was very cold upon arrival and with the curtains shut the heat did not get into the room easily.

What an absolute brilliant hotel. My room had a balcony which overlooked beautiful views. The food was amazing & plenty of it. Staff lovely & friendly. Great atmosphere & beautiful location.

Plenty of car park space. Nice welcome with free drink vouchers. Spotlessly clean room. Long walk to my room. Good breakfast. Chef did me two great poached eggs. The bacon was superb. The bread was nice and the toaster spot on. Coffee desperately needs an upgrade. Other than that the staff were polite and efficient. I'll keep going back, no problem!

Been here 6 times now. Good location, decent food, very good breakfast but not cheap but what you expect. The hotel is nipping clean and has a good leisure setup. The best thing is the quality of the staff. Friendly, professional, and helpful. We will be back again.

I was at the hotel with a coach trip on the weekend of the 21st July and must say the hotel was lovely,Our twin room was very clean and comfortable.Lovely evening meal and great breakfast. The leisure centre was also a bonus. The staff were helpful and friendly in a professional manner, The member of staff at breakfast was lovely and worked really hard I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name but hopefully you will know who she is and let her know. Also the evening staff Alanna and Charlie were so lovely they are a credit to your hotel Thankyou for a pleasant stay

Writing a review is not something I usually do but if something is good I like to say as we appear to moan far more easily than praise. Today I called at this hotel at Brighouse and I have to say I was very very impressed. Firstly by a young lady called Millie on reception who was very helpful and a mind of information, she had lovely manners (something you don’t see a lot of these days!) secondly the food was really good. I would definitely call again.

Milli Centrose was so helpful and friendly. Went out of her way to get the prints that we needed. The Spa Receptionist gave us her £1coin for the lockers. All round, super service by very kind people. The hotel decor and facilities was also of high standard. Thank you all.

A one night stoppover with friends using reward points. Great location close to the M62, but far enough that you couldn't see/ hear the traffic. Set in a country style location, low rise building. Great breakfast. All staff were very pleasant and welcoming, especially the friendky lady who checked us in. Didn't get her name (my bad). As usual a good nights sleep. Love the IHG beds/ pillows.

Receptionist that checked us in was lovely. Bar staff were up for a chat which was nice. Dinner was lovely, took the desserts back to the rooms was a lovely touch to have a note from our server on there (believe she was called Jess) which I would have caught all the names because staff honestly made the stay. Room was lovely and spacious. Conveniently situated next to motorway and a mere 20 minutes away from where we were headed. Leisure facilities were lush and they had a little machine that dried your clothes in seconds.

Since we arrived Friday evening, the staff have been so helpful and accommodating; nothing is too much trouble and they are so quick and efficient in making sure you have what you need. The suite we stayed in was perfect for our family of five and well cleaned etc. We stayed in a much more expensive hotel a fortnight ago and this hotel put it to shame! Breakfast was fantastic, the pool was clean and the man working in the gym/pool on the Saturday morning was constantly checking on things; ensured we had towels, floats etc. and even made the family Lane wider for us. My only complaint was the bar meal, which although tasty (kids loved the pizza) in the evening was a bit pricey but other than that I cannot fault this hotel or our experience one bit! Will be coming again.

We’ve stayed in this particular holiday inn before and it never disappoints. Clean friendly welcoming all spring to mind. But I must say it’s the extra touch from the wonderful friendly staff that makes all the difference. Millie on reception is world class and can not do enough to help. Complimented by Sarah in the restaurant make this a place not only that I would return to but highly recommend!!! And the food is amazing just to top it off. All round a thoroughly enjoyable stay every time.

I have never seen a holiday inn like this. and I have stayed in a lot. This is NOT a 3 star hotel. I mean it is, but my gosh it's like a 5 star. The staff are absolutely incredible, (Massive shout out to BIG Chris, and LITTLE Chris, absolute pleasures to be greeted by, and will do anything they can for you) from the veterans, to the new staff, they do things properly and bend over backwards for people. They are constantly calm, collected, and willing to help anyway they can. I really have not seen anything like this before for a holiday inn.... I saw one person complain about something... as if it was a 5 star hotel, and the staff reacted, as if it was a 5 star hotel. Mind blowing. Breakfast is absolutely worth the money. 24 bar. Great facilities. NO lift... but guess what? They changed my room to downstairs (lots of luggage), gave me a hand and got me a trolley - AND checked on checkout if I needed help. I have never written a review this long. This place is my number one go to. No wonder its always booked! The staff are always super busy, and they STILL make time for you. AMAZING. Plus short taxi ride / walk to town :)

Amazing hotel, staff went above and beyond to help staff.. reception check in with Millie was first class, having read the review below I wasn't sure what to expect but that couldn't be further from the truth. Millie was very polite very frendily and very attentive. When checking in as a wedding guest.. having worked in hospitality for many years I understand the stress we are all facing.. 5 star review for all the team. Keep up the good work

Nice place but a bit dirty in places. Lovely courtyard just right for a warm night. Bar well stocked but avoid the overpriced spirits! Breakfast was spot on! All in all nice time but we only stayed one night

Perhaps the most consistent quality hotel in the area. Nice room with good lounge area - food could be improved in the restaurant but decent breakfast and helpful staff. Good access to Leeds Bradford, Huddersfield with Manchester only about 40 mins away via M62 (if its open 😀)

Good hotel with air conditioning, clean, friendly and well equipped with gym, swimming pool, restaurant, etc. It was a surprise to get to reception and see a table full of cakes, sweets and beer to get for free. Food in the restaurant is also good and the service is fast. Beer is cool as it should be. Enjoyed my stay

Nice hotel and spa. Dog friendly, and I didn't mind this but it got a little stomach churning when I saw someone feeding their dog with the yoghurt from the restaurant in one of the cereal bowls! Yuck!! Dog owners please do better, though we don't mind dogs, we don't all want to share our crockery with them. This is in no way the hotel's fault. But along with promoting their dog friendliness, they should include a request that patrons should bring their own dog bowls and not use the items from the restaurant!

Stayed here on Friday night with a Caledonian coach trip. The young man on reception was so lovely and nothing was a bother. Our room was.immaculate and beds were really comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast were both good and again staff were so helpful. Would definitely 100% recommend this hotel

Very clean rooms and public areas. Staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Viv and Mel at breakfast service took one look at our kids and offered to make them some pancakes, which was an amazing extra treat for the children! At check out, the staff asked if the children had received an activity pack when we arrived. They hadn't, so two were quickly given. Again, an unexpected surprise and attention to the youngest guests. Will definitely be staying again.

Arrived later than planned on New Years Eve after 5 hours in traffics, arriving with 3 tired and bouncy children… the staff could not have made us all more welcome and were absolutely lovely with our boys (thanks Louise for the games and treats… you really ended an awful year in such a lovely way!) The room (queen suite) we stayed in was fantastic, really well laid out and set up with a huge queen bed and 3 singles for our children (yes… a Holiday Inn that accommodates a family of 5!). The room was spotless, with some great facilities and a really nice, clean bathroom. The beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great range of food and lovely staff again who asked our children if they wanted some pancakes. Really great, clean dining area and bar. The hotel has a fab leisure complex for guests, which meant we could use a really clean and very warm pool! A fantastic start to the New Year! Absolutely brilliant, welcoming and very clean and safe feel to the hotel! Would absolutely recommend (and have done to others already!) already looking to book again! Thanks!

Stayed here for 2 nights along with our relatives family, Inc a total of 6 children. The hotel could not have been more family friendly, with all staff Inc reception and restaurant areas interested in pleasing the kids. We had the breakfast and 3-course dinner deal and found the food excellent with a really good choice of food. Sarah was particularly great, and staff were happy to be flexible to keep the kids happy with what that ate ( sharing an adults pizza between 2 etc). Pool was unlimited use and we managed to use it 5 times. They late check out was another bonus, as we could have a late breakfast and swim before departing . Can't recommend it enough for families, especially with Eureka museum not far away.

Lovely hotel and I got upgraded to a suite which was especially nice given I paid for the visit using points! Staff were lovely and the service was excellent couldn't fault them. The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel doesn't have a lift so if you have mobility issues you will need to ask for a ground floor room. Will definitely be staying again!

We stayed for 3 nights and we enjoyed it very much. Lovely place, big room, health suite is a bonus. Breakfast has a lot of choices, only that on our first day, cooked food are not that hot. Our room been tidy everyday but not cleaned as rubbish was not been emptied, bedsheets are not changed even its been stained. We can still see dirty spot in the bath, no hand soap available. Receptionist are friendly and helpful.
