Visited here yesterday. Amazing restaurant, loved the food, very authentic french food. Just perfect. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Had lovely complimentary bread and cheese to welcome us. All finished off perfectly with a lovely complimentary cherry liqueur digestif. Also, the mashed potatoes were out of this world amazing.

Amazing food in excellent family restaurant atmosphere. Staff were really helpful and had a menu in English too. Three courses for €23.90 you can't beat it. Best meal we've had all week.

Fantastic experience. Exactly how a French restaurant should be. Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff and beautifully prepared food at a great price. My snails were rather earthy, but I guess that's snails for you. The mushroom and garlic sauce made up for it. My steak was beautifully cooked. It was then thinly sliced, unusual, but a novel way to enjoy steak.

Great steak and fries, so tender slices of perfectly cooked beef. The maitre de was so helpful translating the menu and helping us. Really nice place and very well priced. One of our best meals on holiday.

In a very charming, ancient little cobble-stone street, this restaurant and its beleagured staff managed to cater to dozens of new arrivals, hungry ftom the 24 hrs race. They did that with a huge smile, warmth and efficiency. Lovely place, great food

Excellent food, friendly staff, menus in English. Absolutely loved the salad and the beef. Dessert and coffee made a perfect end to the day. And all for less than 30 euro. I highly recommend LA Vielle Porte. It was recommended to me by our host and if you're visiting Le Mans put lunch or dinner here on your to do list.

Really great little restaurant, we sat outside and the music from another place was a little loud but it didn't spoil our evening. We didn't book but the staff were super friendly and found a table straightaway, lots more people tried while we were there and were turned away so we were very lucky. Definitely a great find in Le Mans

Great food with a large choice of starters and main courses. And that's before been asked to choose from a huge selection of desserts. Everything was perfect with a very friendly and efficient staff.

Wonderful place, set on cobbled street with dining inside and out. My wife and I agreed that the whole meal between us was the best we have ever had! Totally faultless - amazing flavours, outstanding service and only €20.90 for 2 course. It was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end.

Excellent bistro style restaurant the I have been visiting for 5 years when I'm on Le Mans. Good menu selection. Very professional waiting team. 3 courses for 2 people with drinks works out to about €60. Thoroughly recommend.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at this restaurant. Simple and tasty and perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. We experienced among the best service here I think I have ever had in a restaurant and it made for a very pleasant evening. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome!
